Mission: I. C. A. R. E. Dog rescue stands for into canine adoption rehabilitation and education. Our primary focus is to take canines from the streets, abusive situations, owner surrenders or certain euthanasia (at the shelters) and rehabilitate them so that they can be placed in a loving home. Many of the dogs that we take in are facing their last day of life, have been abandoned or severely abused by their owners or are just simply found roaming the streets. Many of these dogs have physical issues, physiological issues or both, that often lead to behavioral issues, and so the path to adoption can often be a long one and involves all of the following services: 1. Veterinarian care - much of the public does not provide or cannot afford vet care that many dogs need, as such, all of the dogs that we take in receive the basic services of spay/neuter, shots and any surgeries to help the severely injured. We also strive to educate the public at our adoption and fundraising events in proper exercise, die
Programs: In the past year we have expanded our outreach to other rescue groups and rescue networks,increasing out footprint and notoriety to the general public and becoming a recognizable and respected organization within the rescue community and the goto rescue group to the general public. We have increased our dog intake and as a consequence increased the number of dogs we have saved and found permanent homes for from the previous year. We have also bolstered our fundraising efforts and formalized all of our internal protocols for dog intake, volunteering,fostering and adoptions, streamlining the process and thereby making it easier and more efficientfor all parties involved. Our rescue efforts and hard work have not gone unnoticed in the general community and as a result we have received recognition for our efforts from veterinary groups, local businesses and the general public in the form of monetary donations, donations of supplies, awards and positive reviews from sites such as yelp.
