Causes: Developmentally Disabled Centers, Disabilities, Human Services
Mission: To provide high quality specialized services to persons with developmental disabilities and mental illness. These services promote growth, dignity and the development of work and social skills and provide opportunities for beoming part of the community.
Programs: Development achievement services: day training and habilitation services for adults with mental retardation and mental illness. This service includes work activity, academic training, therapy and recreation.
work activity and training: the program has a recycling center and three thrift stores as primary job sources for the disabled, mentally retarded and mentally ill adults. This helps give them a sense of accomplishment and gives them interaction with other people, thus increasing their morale.
transportation services: the organization provides transportation to the mentally retarded and mentally ill adults from their homes to the program and then returns them home.
