Mission: To educate people on, and preserve for future generations, the history of radio and television in the state of arizona by establishing a museum.
Programs: House of broadcasting, inc. (hobi) operates a museum which is dedicated to educating the public and to preserving and celebrating the history, personalities and paraphernalia of radio and television in arizona. The museum is free to the public. It was supported by two annual events in 2012. The hobi celebrity open, which was held in november 2012, and a celebrity toast held in may 2012 honoring 3 media/communications persons. The golf tournament is held yearly while the toast is scheduled every other year and usually has a dinner audience of 125-150 people. Special events and programs are featured at the museum periodically, including book signings by broadcast veteran authors such as hugh downs, local broadcast celebrities and tributes to legendary broadcasters. Group tours are available by special arrangement and educational and community opportunities are encouraged.
