Mission: At 35 years-strong, hospice volunteers of hancock county remains committed to our three-pronged mission: patient care and caregiver support - bereavement support - community education. Care for patients living at the end of life, their caregivers, and those who are grieving the loss of a loved one are all provided free of charge to those who need us by well- trained volunteers committed to serving their neighbors.
Programs: Patient care support for those living at the end of life and their loved ones, including 165 patients and families
bereavement support to those who are grieving the loss of a loved one, with over 1300 gestures of support
in addition to our core services, we offer special programs for special needs: the evensong singers - equipment sharing program - veterans and caregivers outreach program. Because we don't receive reimbursement for these services from insurance or government programs, it is only through the support and partnership of the communities we serve that we are able to reach those who need our care
