Mission: One of the first hospice programs in the United States, Hospice of Northern Virginia is a non-profit, community-based organization serving people of all ages and religions who are facing progressive, life-limiting illnesses, as well as their loved ones. Established in 1977, Hospice of Northern Virginia has provided compassionate and high quality hospice care to more than 22,000 people. The organization is a nationally recognized leader in hospice care and the largest hospice program in the Washington Metropolitan area and the Commonwealth of Virginia. Hospice helps these patients live their final days to the fullest and in comfort and helps both the patient and the patients loved ones live as free from physical, spiritual and emotional pain as possible.
