Mission: Visionhorizon academy aspires to be the midest's premier school and education center for students with learning disabilities and a leading resource for the community.
Programs: Horizon academy serves approximately 80 students in 10 counties within a 75 mile radius. We provide scholarships to 45% of our students through financial assistance raised through our development efforts. Horizon academy holds accreditation through isacs & advanced, and is an approved private agency through missouri dese and by the ncaa. Our affiliation with the orton-gillingham academy of practitioners & educators allows us to deliver the best instruction to students with language-based learning disabilities and all teachers are trained in this approach. Through our tutoring center and our free early reading screenings, we are able to better serve the needs of our community. We act as a resource to the community by offering free events that promote awareness of learning disabilities and (continued on schedule o)providing free early reading screenings. 385 students have transitioned from our school and gone on to be on the honor roll, graduate college, and enter careers.
