One reason we at Grandmas2Share decided to donate $1 from the sale of each of our dolls to Hope & Heroes is that the funds can be directed to specific services. Donors can donate funds to support everything from individual art classes and massage therapy sessions for pediatric cancer patients to cutting-edge research. Impressively, 100% of these donor-directed funds go directly to the program you choose (rather than to marketing or administrative costs). It is hard to imagine a more worthwhile cause. When we donate to the Hope and Heroes Cancer Fund, we really feel we are making a difference in a concrete way.

Mission: Hope & Heroes funds the life-saving work on childhood cancer and blood disorders at Columbia University Medical Center—including cutting-edge research, support for families, and care that always puts children first. We support the Division of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology & Stem Cell Transplantation at Columbia University Medical Center.
Results: Hope & Heroes has raised nearly $50 million dollars since 1997, supporting up to 40% of the budget of the Division of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology & Stem Cell Transplantation at Columbia. Funding from Hope & Heroes has helped grow the program into the largest and most comprehensive of it's kind in the NY-NJ-CT tri-state area.

Direct beneficiaries per year: 150+ new patients and over 1,000 patients being followed and treated
