Homeless bus is run by a wonderful local family that truly cares about each person they are helping. Hundreds line up to receive their help and they greet each person with a smile and ask how they are doing while providing them food, warm soup, snacks and basic necessities. This is a wonderful organization that takes nothing and gives everything.

I'm Em from Brooklyn Biltong - we went out with the AMAZING HB crew to donate some biltong and be hands on in serving the wonderful, strong, story-filled New Yorkers that the Homeless bus serves every weekend. The crew was beautiful. Point-blank genuine, truly caring, they have built real relationships that will last a lifetime. The Homeless Bus is a loving consistency for those that find themselves facing hardships and inconsistency in their everyday living. We were honored to be a (very small) part of the HUGE work they are doing in NYC!

Homeless Bus is a great organization. They continue to serve the community weekly by providing hot meals and supplies to the homeless of New York city. It is obvious that the people behind homeless bus are dedicated to ensuring several hundred people do not go hungry on Saturday nights.

I have gone into NYC with Homeless Bus three times and it is an experience unlike any other. To see the lines of people who are waiting for them is overwhelming. The people they serve every Saturday night are grateful beyond belief and the Landgrebes never disappoint. This organization is a model for caring, compassion, kindness and love for all.

The founders of the Homeless Bus Inc. (Mark and Anna Landgrebe) can only be described as angels are earth. For well over 20 years, they have spent every Saturday night (rain, snow and sleet do not stop them!) in New York City feeding the homeless using, for the most part, their own funds. Until recently they did not receive (or ask for) help from anyone. They did all of this out of the goodness of their hearts, never expecting any notoriety or financial backing. What started as a small project has developed into feeding over 250 homeless people each week. For some of these "friends" (as they like to call them), it is the only decent food they have all week. There really are no words that can describe the love and respect they have for their friends. Any donations would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Simply an amazing organization. I try to make donations to homeless bus as often as I can, knowing that everything goes directly to those in need. Anna and Mark never disappoint their friends on the street and they are angels on earth!

This family has given so much of their time and love to the homeless. I believe Homeless Bus,Inc makes a significant contribution to the lives of the homeless. I shudder to think what, would happen without them to,all the folks they assist.

I've donated, prepared and had the privilege of seeing the appreciation of those in receipt of all who have donated to the hungry. Homeless Bus is an extraordinary charity. The best part is knowing all you give is going straight to those in need.

I am so impressed with how much Anna and her husband give (money but especially time) to make the homeless cared for. They not only feed them and provide them with basic necessities that most would take for granted, but spend time talking to them, finding out their stories, making them feel cared for and most importantly making them feel human and that they matter!

So often we hear what is bad in the world...and the good goes unnoticed. Well, I have had the privilege of seeing the good in action!!! The most giving, caring amazing people I have ever met. Their selflessness is beyond describable....EVERY Saturday night for 23 years they have made the trip to NYC to feed the homeless! and they do it for all the right reasons...not for recognition or thanks, but to truly make a difference in the lives of those less fortunate!
23 years ago this non-profit began feeding the homeless from the trunk of their car. They have now expanded to feeding over 200 people weekly from their "Homeless Bus" . They never miss a Saturday night because as they put it "our friends are counting on us". I can't put into words the impact this organization has made on my life, makes me realize there truly ARE angels on earth.

Homeless Bus is a great organization that is dedicated to serving the homeless of NYC... I became aware of the Homeless bus when I was looking for volunteer work my two sons ages 5 & 7 could participate in... Turns out they are great sandwich makers, cookie bakers and hard boiled egg decorators... they love helping and are learning a valuable lesson in the process. It is something we as a family have come to enjoy doing... Anna and Mark are so wonderful and truly make contributing fun and easy...

I became aware of Homeless Bus via the web and have been following the organization ever since. I am in such awe of Anna, Mark and their Volunteers/Donors in what they are able to accomplish non-fail each and every week, no matter what the weather, no matter when their bus breaks down to bring basic needs with the most loving care to the homeless community of NYC. Their commitment is beyond compare.

Hi. Homeless Bus Inc, ( Anna and Mark Landgrebe) is a wonderful orginazation. They have been feeding the homeless in NYC for the the last 23 years. They are kind and selfless people who rely soley on Donations. I have collected donations as well as traveled into NYC with them a few times. Seeing the smiling faces that depend on them every week . I feel very humbled and blessed after each trip. Sadly, the bus they were using is no longer running and beyond repair. That hasn't stopped them. They load and i mean load up their personal vehicles and keep on doing what they do best.

The most amazing organization ever! Mark and Anna are selfless people who are dedicated to helping the homeless of NYC. If they are unable to raise funds, reaching into their own pockets to support their efforts isn't even a second thought and by doing that for over 22 years, they have proved how dedicated they really are! So happy to see the public helping out.

The homeless bus is a wonderful, generous organization started by a couple, Mark and Anna, that just wanted to do their part to help out. Their Saturday trips to the city have become a staple in some of these homeless people lives. Each and every item or dime donated goes directly to the homeless. Whether its a warm cup of soup, socks or a homemade turkey sandwich, the homeless have come to depend on seeing their faces each and every Saturday. Mark and Anna have dedicated each and every Saturday night of their lives to make their trip because they know sometimes it could be the only thing a person will have eaten that day. Please help this organization, you will not find a more generous and selfless group.
