Causes: Community Mental Health Centers, Mental Health, Mental Health & Crisis Intervention, Mental Health Disorders
Mission: The Hillcrest Center mission statement speaks to our historical commitment to children and families: To promote the well-being and holistic development of all children, youth, and families of the District of Columbia and surrounding areas through comprehensive, culturally responsive, family and community focused services, education, and advocacy.
Results: Hillcrest Center helps 1500 clients a month in the following ways. Provides behavioral health treatment to help individuals and families on the road to recovery. Provides programs for youth and adults to reduce and eliminate substance use disorder. Provides community supports to clients such as housing navigation.
Target demographics: children, youth, adults and families
Direct beneficiaries per year: 1500 people a month which includes 800 familes.
Geographic areas served: Washington, DC
Programs: behavioral health services that include mental health treatment, substance use disorder treatment, and therapy for individuals, group and family, out-patient services are offered for children, adolescents, and familes.
