I'm in a very good and unique position to speak to the effectiveness and even the constuction of the organization. I, having about 20 years experience finding my way through and holding positions in many Veteran Service Organizations and now being Adjutant for the Military Order of the Purple Heart Pittsburgh Chapter 455 at the Highland Drive Facility met the Founder Frederick Johnson when Heroes Today was in it's infancy. Mr. Johnsons openess, attitude, patience and understanding seem to come through and give personality to Heroes Today. It's a very effective organization considering the charter date. His willingness, Mr. Johnsons, to work and seek information from all other points of view are refreshing. This can only drive the machine thats grown to help so many veterans, active duty personel and their families alike. I'm big when it comes to helping Homeless Veterans and Heroes Today and it's volunteers are second to none when it comes to supporting those the best way possible. I and Chapter 455 look forward to working with Heroes Today in the future. I'm also happy to report our MOPH Chapter, Chapter 455 at our last meeting of March 31, 2010 voted to support the Veterans Appreciation Dinner on May 1, 2010 with $100.00 to make sure as many as possible homeless veterans are served a wonderful meal (non-hospital food) and have an enlightening experience. It's in the mail. Sincerely, Scott C. Havelka

Fred displays an unmatched dedication to helping Vets in recovery to heal from their problems and reach a better life. I've seen him go above and beyond many times to help a Veteran in need. Heroes Today definitely has a bright future.

As a veteran who was in need I want to thank Heroes Today and especially Mr. Johnson for creating such a wonderful organization and being such a inspiration in my life. Heroes Today really made me feel and see that they are committed to reaching out and assisting veterans who need the confidence and help required to make it. One conversation with Mr. Johnson and you definitely know he is for real.
