Helping Hands was instrumental in me coming to and settling in this country. hey not only guided my husband on how to proceeded but assisted in completing the forms which resulted in me becoming a permanent resident. After three years, HHFii also assisted in filing the application for naturalization and now I am a citizen. My transition from the Caribbean to the United States would have been far harder if Helping Hands assistance was not available to us.

Helping Hands For Immigrants' Integration (HHFii) does exactly what its name suggests - it extends a hand to immigrants to help them access quality services that are otherwise difficult to obtain. An immigrant myself and a former student, I was not immediately privy to many of these services and experienced several limitations. Today through the dedicated efforts of the President, Wayne Webb, and our professional and volunteer staff, Immigrants can now benefit from college enhancement and job readiness programs as well as legal and health care services. Determined to live up to its mission, HHFii work tirelessly to identify and respond to various needs within the immigrant communities. Like many other NPO's we have limited resources to continue creating opportunities for immigrant students to improve their chances of obtaining a good SAT score or mentoring them throughout their college experience.
At a time when immigrants are becoming hopeless and their ambitions to access the American Dream seem far-fetched, it is encouraging to know that HHFii is lending a hand to enable them to grasp the possibilities.
