Causes: Community Clinics, Health
Mission: Help us help u, inc. 's mission is to provide high quality, culturally competent, and evidence-based health care, focused on hiv/aids and hepatitis c prevention, awareness, testing and counseling in the tampa bay area.
Programs: In 2017, help us help u, inc. Conducted approximately 180 outreach/recruitment activities covering 11 zip code areas in 26 different locations. The activities consisted of tabling at community events, recruitment and presentation of our youth empowerment program, hiv and hepatitis c testing. During this time, 128 youth and young adults (ages 13-24) participated in our program which targets youth who are at risk for substance use and risky sexual behaviors, are minorities or ex-offenders and/or live in lower social economic zip code areas. Approximately 150 individuals were tested for hiv and 65 for hepatitis c.
