We were diagnosed with our son about a year ago at the age of 3. We have tremendous support on how to work with him.
They have given us the tools that we need so we can then teach him; and he has grown so much from everything they've done. From teaching him how to handle difficult situations to his outbursts to helping him learn how interact "properly" with people (looking at someone-even if it's just a glance-when they are talking to you, learning how to calm down, and other social situations). From making picture books of him doing daily activities, like getting dressed or brushing teeth, to learning how to compare and contrast thing and think for himself-not just be a "yes" man.
We worried at the beginning of the year about him going into Kindergarten, but with all the help and support we have received he is more than ready for Kindergarten and I am so blessed to have the people at Heartspring for support!
