Thanks Kim for helping with the adoption process for Squirrel. I thought he was already adopted because he was no longer on the Henderson Shelter site.
I just happened to be in the Banfield on Lakemead Las Vegas when I saw Squirrel on the dog adoption board.
I couldn’t adopt that day because I had to wait on my paycheck.
The next day my husband and I went in to adopt him.
When it came time to pay the fee, I was told he was FREE -PREPAID by “ someone who couldn’t adopt him “. We have had $$ problems lately but we had to find a companion to our Pomeranian who lost his life-partner (19yrs old) to a natural death. Now our lonely Pom has a new friend- hopefully forever! I was so happy I couldn’t stop crying for awhile!
Thank You Thank You!
The people that work at Hearts Alive Village are not only kind and compassionate, but make you feel welcome and help ease your stress during difficult times. I drive 45 minutes just to see Dr. Costa and to go to Hearts Alive Village . I highly recommend them to anyone who needs care for their pets.
This mission-driven clinic has exceptional service and a caring staff. The doctors are top notch and provide a complete exam no matter what the issue is with your pet. Dr. Costa is one of the best in the business and always goes an extra mile for her patients and their families. She helps further drive the mission of Hearts Alive Village in providing outstanding care.
Hearts Alive Village is what the Las Vegas community has been lacking in recent years. The doctors are great, they really care about the animals and provide a service to this community that is affordable and accessible to every one. Every city needs a place like this!!!
Amazing staff and clinicians . Affordable and conscientious care. We live in Henderson and well worth the drive .
Hi there I want to share my experience with this company. A Wonderful place, Beautiful people, amazing team. They support you the whole way through. I was able to spend a little time with my new son pup, Sawyer, before I decided to move forward with my official adoption. I tell ya, he is one spoiled pup and I love it. Sawyer is just like me, we both LOVE to eat, but definitely know we’re going to have to walk it off later. If I had a chance to get all the animals, I would. They take great care of them and definitely, keep the treats going. I say if you’re ever looking to adopt, need any medical care or even advice… Hearts Alive Village, is where it’s at. Recommendations, at 100%. I would do it again.
HeartsAlive Village introduced me to the world of pets, the love of cats, and how much life would be more meaningful having them in it.
I adopted all of my babies from the wonderful cat cafe on Rainbow. Having the space and dedicated staff to connect me with the right fur babies is the best thing ever to a first time pet parent.
I’ve since moved on to volunteer and foster with them and other animal shelters and rescues in town. I accredited Heartsalive Village for any good I have done for animal welfare.
I have seen how Hearts Alive Village goes above and beyond to help struggling families find access to veterinary care. They have several grants available that help subsidize veterinary care for those families who cannot obtain credit as well as different financial assistance options. Thanks to these programs, many families have avoided economic euthanasia and surrendering their pet to shelters or rescue organizations.
We first visited the cat cafe earlier this year. My family fell in love with the calming environment and the wonderful care the cats were getting. We have since visited three times, donated food and money, and even adopted a kitten recently. We really believe in the vision and practice of this organization. We would, and have, recommend this nonprofit to anyone in search of a pet, a volunteer opportunity or just a place to relax while contributing to beautiful, well cared for animals.
Super happy with Hearts Alive Village. My puppy got the best care possible. The staff was super friendly and it was definitely affordable compared to all the other places I’ve been to. Wish I found them sooner.
Hearts Alive Village is the most incredible profit rescue. I’ve been fortunate enough to deal with for a customers perspective. It is clear that the passion the employees have come from the top down. Visiting the Cat Café, for example, is a wonderful experience. I am very selective with who I would support as an animal on profit, however, I can say that Hearts Alive will always be my first choice based on all the great experiences I’ve been like to experience. I’ve ended up without thing several dogs and cats from them because of their caring nature.
I have volunteered, fostered and adopted with this organization and have always had the most wonderful experience. The heart and soul of this organization, director Christy Stevens, is the most dedicated animal advocate I have ever met. They all care deeply about animals and the people who love them.
This nonprofit organization is an indispensable asset to the community. Hearts Alive Village has various chapters, including a low-cost, comprehensive veterinary clinic, a human support services division, pet food bank to assist owners struggling financially, an everyday adoption center, a cat café adoption center, and a sanctuary for rescuing horses and barnyard animals. These initiatives were developed in response to the dire need to advocate for the animals and their wellbeing. The implementation of these programs is made possible through the generous support of donors, as well as the dedicated staff and volunteers who have a passion for the welfare of animals. I commend this organization for the progress it has made in giving animals a voice.
We changed Harold’s name to Bandit, after a cat I had as a child. Bandit is making himself at home and basically ruling our house at this point! He is full of personality and loves playing with his catnip toys. His favorite toy is a rainbow- colored unicorn catnip toy that he carries around in his mouth and then tosses up into the air to chase. He basically sleeps on our bed during the day and roams at night. I have to say that Bandit (Harold) quickly became a loved member of our family!
We want to thank Hearts Alive Village for all the wonderful work you do for unwanted and abused pets, and especially for helping (Harold) Bandit when he was in your care. Thank you so much for letting us adopt him! We plan to recommend your organization to our friends who may be looking for pets.
Sincerely,
Jerry and Joni B.
Sir Townshend "Townie " Belmont Stevenson (the kitten formerly known as Belmont or Monty) is our sweet, baby Maine Coone! Saturday marked 9 weeks this sweet, mischievous, lightening speed, little boy entered our lives. He is named after Pete Townshend from The Who, one of our all-time favorite musicians in the world.
When he first arrived after being rescued from a severe hoarding situation & being in shelters, he was fostered by a wonderful woman, Dayna. When he first came home with us, he was the most fearful kitty we've ever adopted. He was literally shaking and hid in small crevices in our bathroom. My husband and I have had almost 30 kitties in our families combined since our childhoods, so we are not novices with kitties.
We took Dayna's advice keeping him in our large, master bathroom, then slowly introduced him to his sister, our beautiful, gentle, sweet, Ragdoll, Queen Martha McCartney Stevenson. She didn't know what to make of him at first. Ironically, when we adopted her from Hearts Alive 5 years ago as a kitten, we had the same dynamic between her and our beautiful 15.5 yr old Maine Coons, King George and Queen Willow. George took to Martha right away, but Willow was more apprehensive.
Now, we see Townie following Martha around the house & she'll play with him if she thinks we're not watching. Lol He has totally come out of his shell and loves sleeping by us on the bed, stealing our food, running like lightening throughout the house to catch his toy mice and feather sticks.
He has brought a beautiful, positive, fun, loving energy to our home. He sleeps by us every night always plopping down so we are touching like we're his security blankets. He was absolutely worth the wait, time & patience to allow him to adjust to our home. We thank God every day for sending us our baby boy who brings so much love and joy to our family.
Sincerely,
Michele, John, Martha and Townie
We have rescued 3 cats from Hearts Alive Cat Cafe. We received lots of information, check ins and information to facilitate our foster to adopt option. We chose foster to adopt as two of the cats we adopted were very shy and would not let us pet them. Hearts alive made the transition easy and their encouragement was so helpful.
I highly recommend the Hearts Alive Cat Cafe for any potential adoption or just to visit and play with the cats. It’s a welcoming environment.
Our three cats are flourishing in their new homes. One is a college kitty with my son and the other two live with me:-)
I adopted both of my cats from Hearts Alive, and they have been the sweetest babies. They do amazing care with the animals, and they are selective with whom they choose as adopters. They also own a cat cafe & the place is always clean & welcoming.
I have nothing bad say about them, only the amazing things & the reason I was able to have my family as they are now. I love these two & looking forward to the next 10+ years. Thank you Hearts Alive!
Hearts Alive is an amazing place, all the staff care so much about every animal that comes in and out of their doors! I am so grateful we had the opportunity to foster our dog from them and ended up falling in love and adopting her!
My husband and I went to Hearts Alive Village on November 4, 2022, in hopes of fostering a dog. Well, within minutes we were introduced to a white pitbull with brown spots named Carlos Santana. We took Carlos home and immediately knew we were going to adopt him even though he had a medial luxating patella that needed to be repaired. Hearts Alive assured us that all of Carlos' medical expenses, including rehab, would be taken care of. So, after two months Carlos had his surgery and did a month of rehab. On April 3, 2023, we officially adopted Carlos and is now named Carlo. Carlo is a happy, healthy, and active dog and we are very proud to be called his family.
I cannot say enough good things about Hearts Alive Village. The staff and volunteers are incredibly dedicated and compassionate. The facility is clean and well-maintained, providing a safe and comfortable environment for the animals. I've witnessed firsthand the love and care they provide to every animal, ensuring they receive proper medical attention, socialization, and love. Their commitment to finding forever homes for these animals is commendable. If you're looking to adopt a furry friend or support a fantastic cause, Hearts Alive Village is the place to go!
Hearts Alive goes above and beyond to help animals in need. Due to no fault of their own animals often find themselves in less than ideal circumstances. Twice all it took was a phone call to Amy Clatterbuck at Hearts Alive for my nephews dog to be rescued. The first time an unbelievably kind foster was found to provide housing and care for the dog, LuLu, until my nephew got back on his feet. And then a year later, when my nephews health required him to be hospitalized, Hearts Alive once again provided housing and care for LuLu.
This is the type of organization that restores faith in the human spirit. Hearts Alive is a role model for others to follow. I cannot say enough good about Hearts Alive.
My adoption experience with hearts alive Village was seamless. Amy went above and beyond to make sure we got to take home our Lola and Ziggy. I would recommend to anyone wanting to adopt or foster a fur baby Hearts Alive. Village
I fostered, then adopted my dog from Hearts Alive Village who was previously abandoned due to a medical emergency. When I met her I fell in love, but I didn’t know much about fostering a medically needy puppy, after care, and the complexity of her breed. Hearts Alive went out of their way to educate me, provide tools and resources and supplies, and kept in touch so that I felt confident in the care that I was giving. I truly couldn’t have taken her on without the support given by them. Even after many months, and considering the huge amount of animals that they work with on a daily basis, they always remember my dog by name and greet her with so much love. That level of care and compassion should be the mission that all organizations strive to provide, and Hearts Alive Village does it effortlessly!
Luna is now living her best life, getting pampered by her family and we are forever grateful to Hearts Alive for helping me foster an environment to do so.
What a great organization! The staff really care for the animals and they provide a much needed public service. We take all our animals there. Would recommend for anyone looking for a vet.
If you are looking to adopt or donate this is the place! Every dollar helps to feed and or care for a pet that needs help. Thank you for my sweet boy!!
You hear the stories and see the TV commercials adopt don’t shop. I knew I would but like many people I was apprehensive for many reasons. Would it be the right breed? Would they have a good temperament? How would the bond be with me versus if I got her when she was a puppy?
All these questions could be answered regardless, and what I didn’t know, is the very special blessing she would add to the household I think deep down she knows we rescued her and we’re truly meant to be her parents.
Amy, at Hearts Alive village made sure our sweet Pumba. It was a good fit and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Her foster mom was perfect and got her prepared for her lifelong journey with us. Everyday we are so very thankful for Pumba and give thanks to everyone at Hearts Alive Village for making sure so many animals find their forever homes.
I recently reached out to Christy at Hearts Alive Village because I have a neighbor that really wanted another dog companion but knew she could not afford to take care of a pup if it got ill. Christy & Hearts Alive made it possible for her to become a furever foster for a bonded pair of labs. I can’t say enough about my experience with Christy and Hearts Alive Village. They will go to the ends of the earth to do whatever they can to make it work. (Which is what they did to even bring Baby & Pappa into there rescue). They try to find foster or furever homes for these pups so they don’t have to stay in cages, and can feel loved. Hearts Alive made it possible for a lonely lady and two pups (Baby & Pappa) to become a family. Win win all the way around. Thank you Hearts Alive for your compassion & Love that you have for all the fur babies. You guys are amazing.
Hearts Alive Village is one of the most amazing organizations I’ve had the privilege of working with! My husband and I have been fostering and adopting senior and special needs dogs from them for several years. The effort that is put into saving each of the very special lives that come through their doors is amazing, they will go to all lengths to ensure the hopeless are given hope, the abused are shown love, and the unwanted get another chance at happiness. I’m proud to have been part of their community and will continue to be a foster and handle hospice cases as long as I am able to. Thanks to everyone involved for caring the most!
Hearts Alive was wonderful in helping us to provide a forever home for a dog in their care. They were very conscientious in assessing our needs and that of Bobby the poodle we adopted. He is the perfect fit for our family. His previous human was not able to take care of herself or him and had to go to a residential care center and he could not go with her.
Hearts Alive took care of his medical needs and had him foster with a family while he recovered. They were able provide information about him and his personality that helped us transition him to our home.
This was the most positive experience! They deserve endless praise for their attentiveness to the pets they rescue and the forever home families blessed with a new member to their family.
I encourage anyone interested in adopting a pet to reach out to Hearts Alive. You will not be sorry.
I work for a hospice agency and had to rehome my dying patient’s dog and cat. Amy with Hearts Alive Village was quick to respond and almost immediately agreed to take my patient’s cat and senior dog. My patient was able to die in peace knowing that his fur babies will be safe and loved. I cannot thank them enough.
I followed the Hearts Alive Village Facebook page for awhile, looking for babies that needed a home. I reached out to rep, Amy and she set me up with an appointment for my husband and I to come look at a few dogs! We were able to meet them and then come back to watch them play together.
We decided on two amazing kids and were sent home with their food and crates and as much info as we needed about them.
They have still been available for our questions and any support! We are so happy to give these babies their forever homes and set them up for success ❤️
Devotion to the animals...Dedication to their welfare...First rate medical care...Nutritious food and treats...Perserverance and tireless efforts to bring about changes needed for animal welfare...Securing fosters and getting animals adopted into secure loving homes...these are just a few of the many star qualities that exist at Heart's Alive Village Rescue/Shelter. Christy Stevens and all of her crew at Heart's Alive Village are true...Rock Stars!! If only every city in the United States had a Hearts Alive Village run by Christy Stevens all of the animals in the would be in a much better place. As a volunteer I have first hand knowledge to all of the above...and I will remain devoted to them and all they do for the welfare of all animals. Hearts Alive Village is the epitome of what a rescue/shelter should be!! Bless them for all they do and they are truly deserving of any and all help they can be given. I cannot say enough great things about Hearts Alive Village!! The things they have accomplished in the time that they have been operating is absolutely mind blowing. They are a huge asset to the Las Vegas community. The compassion and dedication of everyone involved is heartwarming. Not to mention, I adopted my very first kitten from Hearts Alive, and what a great experience. It couldn’t have been any easier!!!
Hearts Alive Village was a true life saver. My son passed away leaving the two loves of his life, his dogs. Problem was they were in Texas. I arranged for them to be cared for while I searched for a permanent placement for them as I have 2 large dogs, 3 cats and a desert tortoise, all rescues. I believe I contacted around 22 rescue organizations, large and small in Texas, Utah, Nevada and others all saying they were full. Then Hearts Alive listened, actually listened to my story and they cared! They went above and beyond and arrangements were made to get the dogs to Las Vegas where they have been cared for in every way and are now in a wonderful foster home together. All thanks to Hearts Alive Village and their team.
The best rescue in town! I’ve adopted from them and am so impressed by the entire process. They take amazing care of the animals from intake to adoption, have an amazing cat cafe, Petsmart adoption locations, and they even help other rescues when they have surplus supplies. A++, I could not recommend them more!
I am currently fostering a dog with them. Everyone is great and helpful anytime I need something. Highly recommend them!!
Hearts Alive Village and their wonderful foster parents went above and beyond to rescue my sweet babies and to get them healthy for adoption. Dani was teeny teeny tiny, well below the usual size for a kitten her age. Jae wouldn’t even come out from the filthy crawl space beneath the house where they were found. My girls had a tough start but now they’re living their best life together. It wouldn’t be possible without Hearts Alive Village.
I can't say enough good things about Hearts Alive.
Our experience with this organization, left us with lasting friendships.
We adopted a Chihuahua mix from them. He was 9 years old as we wanted an older dog, since we are older.
He gave us such unconditional love, and when the time came that he crossed the Rainbow Bridge his foster parents were right there for us.
UH-MAZING! I cannot say enough good things about Hearts Alive!! We adopted our angel pup, Stevie from them! They were a breeze to work with, even in quarantine. Shortly after we had her she got a pretty bad UTI :( We called Christie & she immediately stepped into action to help our baby Steve’s! The adoption process was so thorough and easy. I will always go back to HAV for all my puppy needs!
Hearts Alive Village helped this beautiful girl find a new home when it's owners had to leave the country. She is only four years old, perfectly trained and gets along with kids and other pets big and small. Any owners dream but when they were in a bind, the charity stepped right up to help. They found the perfect home to re-home her. It made an awful experience so much more pleasant knowing they were there.
The compassion that Hearts Alive Village shows for these animals in need is truly amazing. When you enter the Village you can feel the love for these animals who have been left behind, but deserve a chance to love unconditionally again. My wife and I are proud supporters of Hearts Alive Village and we are always happy to give our support and resources to this wonderful charity!
Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. Hearts Alive Village for helping us meet this very special little guy. My wife, myself and our 13 year old cat brought the mighty Thor into our family about 8 weeks ago. He has added so much joy, love and laughs into all of lives. Sheryl, Lynn and the whole HAV team have added something very special to our community. Go discover their discount pet store (the best deal in Vegas), the new clinic and go rescue your next lifelong buddy.

HeartsAliveVillage 07/20/2021
We are so happy that Thor has you! Thank you for saving a life
Christy, Sheryl and the staff at Hearts Alive are top notch! We are so impressed with their love and commitment to animals in need in our community. They work tirelessly to find or keep homes for these precious souls that just need someone to love them. Their clinic is amazing and the staff there is wonderful! We are so happy to support them and their mission! Definitely an organization the deserves support!
Christin, Junkluggers

Thank you for your kind words and for everything you do!
I’ve been working and volunteering with HAVLV from the beginning. I’ve never met people so committed to the cause in my life. Amazing people doing amazing things to help all animals in our community. We adopted our last dog from them and he’s the perfect addition to our family. Thank you HAVLV! And don’t forget to buy your food and supplies at the adoption center. Tax free shopping!!!

HeartsAliveVillage 07/16/2021
We're so grateful to have you!
I got to know Christy and HAVLV, when my friend got her rescue dog, Brownie from them. They care so much, that the next thing you know I am bringing home dogs for sleepovers and to swim in my pool. Which led to my foster fail, Suki who is now a huge part of our family. I now help and volunteer when needed for special fundraising events. It is amazing how much they have grown, and how much they do for our community! They have always tried to be sure that all pets have food, and help those in need, but during the pandemic they were on the front lines helping those who needed it, and to be sure that the animals were able to stay with their families. They do so much and have so many different programs to help all animals and their families where there is a need. I even got to help a veteran out, by taking care of Cowboy while he was getting medically treated. This rescue goes above and beyond and the whole team has so much compassion for the animals. I feel very lucky to have gotten to know Christy and her team and feel privileged to be considered a part of the village.

HeartsAliveVillage 07/20/2021
Suki couldn't have found a better family
We recently adopted a cat at hearts alive village. We were happy we could see several cats the same day instead of one cat at a time at the shelters. Everything went great the people were very helpful. we would suggest anyone who wants to adopt a cat to check out hearts a live village.

HeartsAliveVillage 07/06/2021
Brent, thank you much for saving a life! We are so glad you found your baby : )
Me and my children ran into Kelly M at the park many years ago and met Pele and the next thing we know, we are at Hearts Alive volunteering. I remember Stephanie opening the first room PetSmart on Lake Mead and Rainbow and I remember how happy everyone was to be having that first room and here they are just a few short years later , and over 5,000 animals saved just from this little tiny rescue. And not only are animals saved but they feed over 2,000 dogs and cats every month since covid started please just think about how many animals are being fed 7 days a week from lil old Kendall's cupboard, amazing!!
Christy and the volunteers , the whole bunch of caring souls that dedicate themselves to doing so much to help animals day in and day out, are the ones to thank. I feel so lucky and privileged to be even considered part of such a wonderful group if at all.

HeartsAliveVillage 07/06/2021
We are so grateful for you!
Almost a month ago I adopted my Kitten Remy from Hearts alive. I was searching for a few months trying to make appointments with other shelters but had a hard time hearing back from staff..until Hearts Alive I applied for my sweet girl as soon as I saw her on their sight and the next day I was in contact with her Foster mom and I brought her home a few days later. She is my very first cat and she is absolutely perfect! Her foster Victoria had her socialised so well! The cherry on top was the experience I had at the Hearts Alive low cost clinic, all the workers were so sweet some even remembered Remy by her shelter name of Goji. It made me so happy to see how much they care. The whole process was so smooth and I love my little Remy so much. THANK YOU HEARTS ALIVE VILLAGE

So glad you found your baby! Thank you for the kind words
Max chose us a few weeks ago. He was adopted to help our young adult cat Leo adjust to life when our senior cat Flash goes to Heaven, hopefully not soon but eventually.
As we know we plan and god laughs…
Max is friends with Leo but his true buddy I Flash, Max acts like Flash is his daddy and shares so much of his day. This has put a ray of sunshine into Flash’s life and all of ours.
Max is such a doll, he loves us, our cats and out dogs even the guinea pigs.
Meeting him and sharing in our life has been a wonderful event.
We hope Max knows how deeply we love him already!

HeartsAliveVillage 07/06/2021
He knows! Thank you for saving a life
Hearts Alive Village is doing an outstanding job helping our community and their companion-animals. Their recently opened vet clinic fills a void in the community for low-cost medical care when there is sometimes nowhere to turn for desperate pet-parents. Their pet food bank keeps those in need from going hungry. And, they have rescued and placed thousands of pets in permanent homes. Having worked with some of their management, I can attest to their professionalism and dedication. Hearts Alive Village deserves top recognition in our region.

HeartsAliveVillage 07/06/2021
Thank you, John!
As an animal lover, I support all animal foundations. However, when I found Hearts Alive Village, they are different because they do everything to keep the pets in the same home by helping with food, and now veterinary care. These are two main reasons people give up their pets. This is the most important service we need today for our pets. I love this organization so much, they are one of my chosen charities for regular donations. Thank you for what you do, Hearts Alive Village.

HeartsAliveVillage 07/06/2021
Thank you, Stephani! Love that horse!!!
I started volunteering with HAV several years ago. They have improved so much over the years and constantly striving to do better and save more lives! I adopted my kitty there after seeing him so scared in his kennel and the staff telling all about the terrible situation he was in before. They take the time to talk with you and see who may be the right fit for you and your family. I can't wait to see all that they achieve in the future!

HeartsAliveVillage 07/06/2021
Thank you! We couldn't do it without our wonderful volunteers!
What a wonderful experience that keeps on giving We adopted the perfect little feline friend All were wonderful

HeartsAliveVillage 10/21/2020
Congratulations! So glad you found your fur baby
Hearts Alive Village rescue has helped so many in need. The programs are created for the most vulnerable, sick, old and emergency situations. Thousands of lives have been saved from hard work, dedication and support of the volunteers and the community. They are an exemplary organization, run with passion, integrity and honesty. Las Vegas is blessed to have such a wonderful rescue team.

HeartsAliveVillage 10/21/2020
Thank you for your kind words and for everything you do for the animals!
We had the most amazing adoption process! Once we were approved to get Buddy, the cat, we received photos and video snaps from his foster mom weekly. She even sent a video of Buddy singing "Happy birthday" to my son! The actual adoption went as smooth as possible and because Buddy was loved so much before we got him, the transition to his new forever home wasn't even stressful for any of us! Thank you for the experience and our kitten!

HeartsAliveVillage 10/21/2020
We are so glad you had a wonderful experience and found your new baby! Love the photo : )
What an amazing rescue! My husband & I moved to Henderson, NV about 3 years ago. We learned so much about animal rescue & Hearts Alive Village from our neighbor Amy, who was fostering for them at that time. When the pandemic hit this year, there was great concern that many pets were going to be turned into animal rescues & shelters due to people being unable to feed them or provide medical treatment for them. Many foster homes were going to be needed for those pets! My husband & I decided we would try fostering. It has been 10+ years since either of us has had a pet. Since it had been so many years, Amy told us she would find the perfect pet for our first fostering experience. We knew we wanted a dog, but that was about it. A few weeks later, Amy informed us she found us a dog. Her name was Sugar & she was a 13 year old Boxer. Just looking at her you could see she was malnourished & her nails were incredibly long. HAV took her to a vet & had her checked out. Besides needing a dental cleaning, (and her nails clipped) she was in great shape! It took a bit of time for us to get used to having a dog, and it took Sugar some time to adjust to her new home, but it has all worked out! We have adopted her & couldn't imagine life without her! Some may say we're a "foster failure", but we say it's "foster to furever"! Thank you Amy for finding us the perfect dog, and thank you Hearts Alive Village for rescuing Sugar and the multitude of other animals you rescue! Without Hearts Alive Village & Amy (who is now Director of Operations for Hearts Alive Village), we would not have our sweet Sugar! Thank you Hearts Alive Village for being the Pet Disaster relief center & feeding the 1000's of pets you have fed (and continue to feed) through this pandemic. Thank you for working so hard on the low cost Animal Clinic. I know it's been a lot of work so far, but just thinking about how many pets you're going to be able help with everything from immunizations to spays / neuters and assisting pet owners with other medical issues so the pets can stay in their homes & out of shelters (or worse situations), it's so with it! You are truly an amazing group of people! Sugar's before & after picture....and here's her right now!

HeartsAliveVillage 10/21/2020
Thank you for giving Sugar a wonderful home and for all of your kind words!
I have adopted a few kitties from Hearts Alive Village over the years, and I must say that they are one of the best non-profits out there simply because of how much they care about the animals and their clients alike. They go above and beyond to save as many lives as possible and they have an amazing team that I believe can take on anything! I have much respect for all of their hard, hard work they have done over the years and for saving thousands of pets, strays, and ferals. I understand, It is NOT an easy job. It can't be. But, they get up every day and make things happen for so many lost souls that it makes their effort so very worth while, and so very much appreciated by animal lovers such as myself. I am beyond thankful to have my babies in my life, and Hearts made that possible through their unshakable commitment to rescue.
Their work is so extremely important, even if people in our community don't always realize it. Hearts Alive works hard to keep pets in homes by offering affordable veterinary care so that people don't have to surrender their pets if they can't afford a surgery or any other form of treatment. Not to mention, we live in a city with the highest intake of animals to the humane society and other rescues/shelters in the country (!!), and for that reason alone, Hearts Alive has sadly become a necessity. We need them so badly, and they step up to the plate every time! Thank you for all you do for our precious community of animals. Thank you.
I know you will never stop. Even when it seems impossible, even when you get tired, even when the going gets tough... And THAT is a sign of a true hero. You have made a difference in countless lives. YOU ARE the difference. Never stop.

HeartsAliveVillage 10/07/2020
Thank you for your kind words and for your support. We couldn't do what we do without people like you!
It was an amazing experience to adopt my new little baby from this wonderful organization
The foster family was great and we connected instantly
I recommend everyone to adopt from Hearts Alive village
If I have to adopt again I will definitely go there
Thank you

HeartsAliveVillage 10/07/2020
We are so happy that you found your baby here! Thank you for the kind words and for saving a life!
Hearts Alive is one of the most caring, and personable organization I have been involved with. What they do for all of these cats and dogs is fantastic! My wife and I fostered 5 kittens and while it was sometimes overwhelming, we felt supported throughout the entire process. Hearts Alive made it easy to work with them and help nurture and find the kittens great homes. We even kept 2 of the kittens as they completely won us over.

HeartsAliveVillage 10/07/2020
Thank you so much for fostering (and falling in love)! We are grateful for your support!
This place is so amazing and they do so much to help animals in need!

Thank you so much!
Over the years I've volunteered/fostered for multiple rescues who do a good job saving animals. What sets HEARTS ALIVE apart is the amazing variety of programs they've put in place to support animals staying in their homes. Working with the VA, offering food and veterinary service to those who could not otherwise afford to keep their pets are just two of many ways they are supporting the community and saving animals. In addition, the number of kittens they save from the streets, vetted, neutered and found homes for is mind boggling to me! They clearly have people who not only care, but put their hearts and souls into what they do. And I'm particularly thankful that they took in the 11 year old chihuahua I adopted a couple years ago. At 13-1/2, he's a bright spot that's gotten me through a really tough year!

Thank you so much! We hope your fur baby is doing well
I’ve been volunteering with shelters and rescues for 15 years, but I have never worked with a more compassionate, dedicated, loving, friendly and organized rescue group than I have with Hearts Alive Village. I started doing adoptions 5 years ago with them and have done different volunteer opportunities since. There are so many options! I have also fostered and (failed:) a few times. See Zuri and Muriel❤️ I’m so grateful for the animals I’ve come in contact with and the lifetime friendships I have formed. Hearts Alive is truly a special organization helping so many animals and people in the community.

Thank you, Danielle! We are so grateful to have you on the team!!!
I have volunteered at Havlv for about five years and always enjoy my time there. They work so hard to keep the animals healthy and happy while they are with us. We are looking forward to the opening of the low cost clinic that our community needs. We continue to provide free food to people in need. All of our volunteers are there for the animals and enjoy our time providing for them.

Thank you for all your hard work!
The staff is friendly and easy to work with. We fostered for 6 weeks before adopting. The team stayed in touch and made sure things were going well. The it came time to adopt, the process was simple. The also have all etc supplies we need for 'our boys."
I highly recommend checking them out for all pet supply needs, fostering or adoption needs.

Thank you for the kind words! Give the boys a kiss for us
I’ve been a volunteer with Hearts Alive (although medically sidelined for the past year ☹️) since the opening of the Adoption center/Pet Supply Store. I have volunteered with other organizations while Active Duty around the US and in Italy and by far the best is Hearts Alive.
They keep adding programs for where they see a need. Pet food pantry during the housing crisis years ago, helpIng owners keep their pets by supplying pet supplies to those in need. Our Cat programs have exponentially grown every year with the horrid kitten seasons we have here that continue to grow. Cat adoption centers for ones we have pulled from the local kill shelter or owner surrendered after fully vetting them. Chi of Hearts to rescue and fully vet chihuahuas that are flooding our kill shelter. One close to my heart as a veteran is our Charlie Mike program to help veterans with obtaining and keeping companion animals. To our upcoming Veterinary Clinic offering low cost animal care to those in need. These are just a few of the programs or fingers of this organization.
No other organization that I have ever volunteered with has the scope of animal welfare activity as this one does. They are always in the forefront of animal care and welfare for the Las Vegas valley.

Thank you so much for your kind words and all your hard work!
I am a volunteer and supporter for HAVLV. Been with the rescue since the beginning. I love our rescue. We have been helping our community through so many programs. One of my favorite is Kendal’s cupboard. A program that helps people in need feed their pets. We have programs to foster a pet. This helps get a rescued animal into a home setting. We have a thrift store and a store with food and supplies.
The reason to love HAVLV is because we love animals. We our going to open soon a low cost Veternary center.
Yes I adopted 2 cats from HAVLV. They were both seniors. Bart who we gave so much love for the 8 months we had him.
Now I have an 13 year old tuxedo name Mr Bojangles. He is a great addition to 2 female cats in the household.
I can’t say enough about our rescue. Maybe I enjoy the people❤️
Lol come by on Thursday mornings. I would love to tell more.
This group works their tails off to help pets big and small.

Thank you!
What a wonderful nonprofit, helping so many people and pets. Truly...their hearts are in everything they do 100%! Congratulations on the soon-to-be opening of the first Nevada nonprofit veterinarian clinic and wellness center! WOW!

Thank you for your kind words! We couldn't do it without our wonderful community.
Hearts Alive is the best. I was trying to figure what food to give my dog and their adoption center was so helpful. They are always so friendly. I am hoping to foster for them.

We are so glad you found the right food for your pup! Thank you for shopping with us and supporting us.
Hearts Alive Village Las Vegas is so much more than just a rescue. They help the community by assisting people that are having trouble feeding or taking their pets to the vet among many other things. It’s always nice to visit the animals and chat with the volunteers. I love what they do.
Hearts Alive Village constantly amazes me with their dedication to helping our communities animals! From running a large adoption center (and a remote one in a local Petsmart), to providing food for families with pets in need, to offering a low cost pet goods shop staffed with extremely helpful and knowledge staff - from top to bottom they far exceed the expectations of any shelter or rescue. They also helped me find my best furrend! Thank you HAV!

Thank you for the amazing review! So glad you found your best furrend!!!
We adopted our chiweenie Eliza through HALV, and it was a wonderful experience. She was so well cared for by HALV before she came into our lives, and adopting her was a smooth and easy process. I highly recommend HALV. They do fantastic work!

HeartsAliveVillage 09/22/2020
Thank you so much for saving Eliza and giving her a good home!!!
This charity does so much to help animals and their owners in Las Vegas. They help offset medical and food costs for pet owners who can’t afford such expenses to ensure those pets can stay where they are loved. They even have a cat village where kitties roam free and get the attention they crave! Most importantly, they hooked me up with my latest rescue, Boo Dylan. He’s the sweetest boy who loves his new family and who brings joy to our lives daily. Thank you HAVLV!

HeartsAliveVillage 09/22/2020
Thank you so much! We are so glad that you've got Boo Dylan in your life now. He deserves a wonderful family!
What an amazing team. They are patient, understanding and warriors. They offer so many valuable resources to our community. I got to foster two sister corgi-chis (that's what I call them, not sure it's an official way to refer to them) for a month and they made the process so easy. And I love their resale shop too.

Thank you for fostering and shopping with us!
I wanted to foster a dog during Covid uncertainty. That is how I met Buster. The staff is so friendly. They are quick to help and always available. I failed fostering and adopted him. Hearts Alive helps dogs and cats that nobody else will.....seniors!! Thank you ALL!!! Dilbert (black dog) has grown to love Buster (brown dog) as his brother.

HeartsAliveVillage 09/22/2020
Thank you for fostering and failing! We know Buster will have a wonderful life with you : )
I have volunteered my Animal Reiki services for the animals in the care of this non-profit. I've always found the organization to be professional and they truly care about the animals and the community. Everything they do is to help animals.
I recently had a stray kitty move into my yard. I could tell he had been on the street for some time. He was skinny and his fur was a mess, but he was very friendly. I contacted Hearts Alive and they immediately arranged for his medical check. I am now fostering him in my home and they are helping with his food and litter until he can find his perfect forever home.
I've watched Hearts Alive Village grow from a small animal rescue into an organization that is changing lives. They have a center that provides products and information. They opened a food bank to help keep pets in their homes when individuals fall on hard times and can no longer afford to feed them. They are now in the process of opening a full medical clinic in order to offer low-cost veterinary care to people in need.
This rescue is amazing. They are saving animals and helping animals lovers in the community. Wish I could give them 10 stars!!

HeartsAliveVillage 09/22/2020
Thank you for all you do! We are so glad that kitty wandered into your yard... he couldn't have picked a better foster.
We adopted a one year old female Chihuahua. Joel brought her to our home as he inspected our home and talked to us we fell in love with our new sweet baby girl. He told us we could keep her with us for a few days to see how things would go. We fell in love and Joel came back here in two days and we signed the adoption papers. I would recommend Hearts Alive Village to everyone looking for a new family pet. Thank you Hearts Alive and Joel for everything. Debbie
