Mission: Our mission is to provide encouragement for the child, healing for the family, empower the ministry, and care for the equine by providing a place for children and their families to find hope, healing, and encouragement; offer an environment of unconditional love and acceptance; and create a place where visitors will learn respect for themselves, others, the animals they work with, and the environment where we live.
Programs: We continue to expand our services and reach out to families in our community and beyond. We bring families together and provide healing and encouragement through our riding program, camps, and fun days. We held our annual staff training on march 4th. We also held a fun day including activities for the children and adults interested in participating in our programwe continue to make improvements to the area where our activity barn and arena are located. Planting more grass and landscaping to make the area more inviting. We held two scheduled work days inviting the public out to the ranch to become more involved in the work here and make new connections. We had several buses of high school students come for an afternoon of public service. After a time of working together snacks were enjoyed and we had a time to share our story and vision. We held 466 individual riding sessions, 672 visitors to the ranch, and 1,460 volunteer hours. We held several fire side worship evenings. We held our annual awards and fun fall day. We held a christmas open house. We finished our tack room. We rescued two more horses. We had two of our staff attend the similar ministry retreat at crystal peaks youth ranch in oregon. We had one of our staff graduate from a four year leadership program, svla. We joined together with 26 local non-profits (philanthropic partners) and did several events together and participated in our community annual giving day. We had several speaking engagements at churches and at retreats to share our vision and story. We had visitors from kamp kaleo visit us two times this summer. This is a camp for the disabled and we were told this is always their highlight of the summer to visit the ranch. We were nominated for high impact organization and received that award on feb. 2. We received a grant to construct a greenhouse to expand our service to the families we serve.
