I have my two kids to go to Chatterbugs preschool. I was drawn to the school by their high teacher-to-student ratio, where they can provide a lot of attentions to my kids. The teachers are very nice and responsible. Over the past 6 months, I am very impressed by their dedications to care and teach my kids. The school provides ample opportunity for them to learn and grow. They read stories at school, did interesting classwork to bring home, and have family and kids events during special occasion. They always provide comments on their intersts, and their progress at school. I was very happy that they bring them to take buses to go to field trips to different places around the SF. My kids progress a lot after taking the journey with the Chatterbugs family. I am forever grateful to have met and known Kathy, Angie and Janice.

We heard about the Hearing and Speech Center of Northern California from an alumni parent and only have positive things to say about Kathy, Angie and Janice. They make Chatterbugs the amazing pre-school it is and we are grateful for their investment in the children's physical, social and emotional development. They go above and beyond by really getting to know your child and their individual personalities and needs, welcoming families into classrooms and keeping parents regularly updated. They provided a safe and nuturing environment for our (at the time) 3 year old son (who has speech difficulties), helping him learn, play and make friends. With their support, he graduated and successfully transitioned to TK recently. Our 2 year old daughter (who has no learning difficulties) has recently started at Chatterbugs too because we believe the support she'll get to grow and be happy is unparalleled. Thank you Chatterbugs for all that you do for the kids and the community!

I don't know where to start but I heard about Hearing and Speech Center through our Pediatrician office. They have a great reputation and I knew I had to do whatever takes to help my little one. ReGina and Janice really helped us out - us as parents learned a lot in her class. My son is now in Pre-K and can sit well, participate and follow along during circle time. He is able to sit while eating. He started repeating and imitating words back last November. I highly recommend this to anyone who can attend her class. I am forever thankful and grateful for them.

The Hearing and Speech Center of Northern California is a wonderful place for children with speech and language delays and early childhood education!

ReGina Chavez does a wonderful job with her toddler early childhood program. There are noticeable gains in the skills of the children that she works with in a short amount of time!

Speech-language pathologist, Tricia Evans, has nearly 50 years of experience providing speech services at the Center. She is a wonderful member of the team!

Phenomenal! Great, knowledgeable, caring staff. Flexible with our schedule. Excellent communication with us from staff. They specialize in working with students with hearing loss and communication challenges. Our daughter doesn't have these challenges, but I firmly believe going to Chatterbugs contributes directly to creating empathy for and understanding of others. Our daughter loves going. So lucky we found them. Can't say enough good things about Chatterbugs!

HSC has a very caring a dedicated staff, from the preschool to the auditory and speech team. I like that they take a comprehensive approach to tackling communication challenges by having multiple services under one roof. It's easier for the team to collaborate and it's much more efficient for the patient.

My son started at Chatterbugs at just 2 and a half with almost no words as he has a speech disorder. ReGina taught him to sign a couple sentences and was able to give him a lot of individual attention to help him work through his difficulties. He is now in Angie and Kathy’s class and wakes up every day asking to go to school. His language has improved immensely since starting there and I cannot rate this school highly enough.

I first heard about the Hearing and Speech Center of Northern California through a friend, whose son attended here for preschool. She only ever spoke with enthusiasm and positivity about the staff, school, and it's services. I looked into Chatterbugs, their preschool program for my own daughter and after an initial meeting, I really looked forward to getting her started here. Almost a year later, I am SO thrilled to have stumbled upon Chatterbugs and the Hearing and Speech Center in general. I love that within their preschool setting, children are in a diverse landscape of students, fostering an inclusive environment and allows for children to be aware that everybody learns differently. Everyone here genuinely loves what they do and truly care. All the staff I have encountered remains organized and communicates well, two hugely important factors for any organization. I feel incredibly lucky to be a part of their student body, and want nothing more than this nonprofit to succeed and continue to be a positive force in San Francisco.

This place was awesome!! My wife and I feel as though they saved our sanity. Our son didn't talk until he was 2 years old. It was all very difficult until we found the Hearing and Speech Center. This organization, along with our son's teacher, really saved us. We love you and are eternally grateful for guidance given to our son and to us.

Our son received incredibly caring and insightful care at the Hearing and Speech Center. There is a deep understanding of the whole person and their lifetime needs for care and a fantastic 'get it done' attitude that pervades the organization.

The Hearing and Speech Center has been a valuable resource for the city of SF. My personal experience as a parent of a child who receives speech therapy services, is that the staff are very welcoming and efficient. Our speech pathologist Angelica, has created a positive rapport with my kiddo and his improvements are consistently progressive.

Thank you HSC

I got connected with the Hearing and Speech Center several years ago. My daughter was born with hearing loss. It was our first child and learning of her hearing loss was a very emotional experience for me and my wife. We were interested in getting more plugged into a community with other families of children with hearing loss and a doctor recommended we reach out to the Center. I'd so glad we did. The Center is such a special place. The staff and leadership understand the various ways hearing or speech challenges effect one's life and they have resources to help. Sure, you can of course get fitted for a hearing aid here. But, there is also an amazing preschool with a mix of kids including some with hearing loss or communication challenges. There are also staff members who help kids with homework or with finding a job. When we were making a decision about where to send our daughter to school, I ask for and received wonderful advice on what to look for in a school and what questions to ask. The Center has experienced and caring staff who understand what it means to have hearing loss and help people and families with a broad range of questions and issues. It has been an honor to be involved.

I have been attending the Hearing and Speech Center for over 25 years for hearing related services. Besides the friendly atmosphere, the quality of care I receive is of the highest standard. I recommend their services and compared to other private audiology practices I feel more comfortable here when faced with the need to purchase hearing products as I know they are non-profit and always have my best interests at heart.
