Was in a Relationship for 2 years, found out I was pregnant September 2024 throughout the whole pregnancy he did nothing but stress me , abuse me , make sure I had no communication with the outside world. Then January he put me out on the streets 5 months pregnant. From there I was able to find a part time job to pay someone for a room . Unfortunately I met this person through my newborns father , so he felt as if he was in control therefore again .. abuse , getting put out daily , every device I replace ends up broken this was a repeating cycle up until the time my baby was born . She made her arrival 04.09.25 ( a month early) . Now that she's here I haven't been able to start buying what she needs I've been trying to save for a place but her coming early now puts me on maternity leave . & he recently beat me, threw my belongings in the trash & put me out so to stay away from my hateful ex I've been staying at the hospital with her while she's still In nicu. Or with associates when I can I'm making this gofundme because I have no help , no phone , nothing miracle needs , and I need help coming up with the rest of what I need to secure us a place all needing to be done by the time they are ready to discharge her . I didn't think this man would COMPLETELY turn on us and leave me to figure out everything on my own me & my boys father didn't see eye to eye but he still made sure he did his part so I didn't see alot of this coming. I’m very Grateful for organizations like the Guaranteed rate foundation. They have gone above and beyond to help my daughter regulate her sensory issues and her hyperactivity in the comfort of our home. We had the flexibility of picking out our own equipment, and other sensory items. I'm a single mother of two who also takes care of my mom. I was working as a special education teacher when I was struck down with an incurable autoimmune disease. While I was applying for disability, I had no income. I was drowning and looking everywhere for some help. I feel so fortunate to have stumbled upon the Guaranteed Rate Foundation! They screen people really well and they helped me pay my rent and bills while I fought for my disability approval. They still pay half of my rent and bills while I'm finally getting my payments and it's saved my family from becoming homeless. I can't thank them enough!
We moved to the USA as a family end of 2019.
Our family was in a tragic car accident end of 2016 in South Africa. We lost our one son and one daughter in the accident. I also lost my left leg above the knee.
My prostotist in Athens, GA gave me non profits names and info when I enquired about a blade. I reached out to ABR ( amputee blade runners). I was contacted and received a grant from Gaurenteed Fund Foundation, so that ABR could help me run again!
It was life changing. I trained for a year with a mechanical knee to get strong enough to run with a blade.
Me and my family ran the Athens 5 K Fun Run on 22 October 2022.

It's incredible to participate with this foundation and help so many families directly when they're facing a hardship. GR Foundation is unique in that we review cases and grant assistance directly to the applicant covering all sorts of scenarios. We look for individuals that demonstrate strong character but face a major unforeseen event and when we recognize that the applicant shares our company's core values (along with a will to push ahead developing a solid long term plan), we do everything possible to grant our help. We're not a huge non profit, so we have limited scope of funds to give but we make sure that our assistance makes a significant impact in the applicant's quality of life or towards a resolution of the hardship. It's also a great group of folks from across the company with diverse backgrounds that come together to discuss the applicants and make our decision. We were directed towards the foundation when we first received Bentley because we needed things for him that we were not readily available for us. They were very easy to work with and very informative. They made the experience extremely easy to get my son help. If you are in need of help that you're not sure that is available to you. You guys do not realize what a blessing you have been to our family. Since getting our van we have not had to cancel not one appointment with the Doctor.
We can also take the two children to the park with our grandchildren. I wish I could share the smile on our daughter face as she sit in her wheelchair and listen to the children laughing and playing. Her smile is priceless. This could never had happened without you guys blessing us with a handicap van.
As I sit watching my children enjoy being able to live somewhat of a normal life tears come to my eyes. I had to explain to my youngest grandson that these are tears of joy.

I was struggling and scared. I had lost my job and my home bc of no job due to layoffs. I had to move to another state with my daughter and her family until I got that once in a lifetime phone call saying I was accepted and it was the perfect time bc my daughter was about to have another baby and needed the space. I work as a physical therapist assistant with Minds Matter. We see patients who have dealt with a traumatic brain injury or stroke. GRF has been an amazing resource for my patients. I’ve helped 2 of my people apply for grants for various pieces of equipment and both have been approved! In addition, I have another person who applied for a grant with another therapist who also received the monies they were asking for. Hello, my name is Tara. Im a single mother of 2 and what we call a thriver from Salt and Light Coalition. At the time of hearing about Guaranteed Rate Foundation, I was living in a she shed in my parents backyard with my girls. I had just started a workforce development program in Chicago called Salt and Light Coalition (SALC). I had little confidence, no job, no stability of my own, no positive outlook on life, scared and worried about my children’s future. Everything that I couldn’t provide on my own. Just simply stuck on how I thought we didn’t have a way out. While attending SALC, I was extremely blessed with the opportunity from Guaranteed Rate Foundation to receive a grant for housing, to help me get out on my own and get my life together for my girls. We got a second chance at life. I was able to heal from my past/childhood and I was then allowed to be strong enough to break the cycle of trauma for my girls. I am and will always be grateful for everything that God has given me through/from the people I’ve had the privilege to work with over the past year. My daughter was diagnosed with a neurological condition a year and a half ago. She lost the ability to speak, see, eat and move from the shoulders down. She was literally trapped in her body. We searched for the right treatment for her. We found an intensive rehab in California. We raised the money to go out there for 8 weeks. She made great progress. After returning home she started to regress and we knew she needed more time in California. A friend recommended Guaranteed Rate and told me I should apply for a grant. The process was very straightforward. I was assigned a representative who made the process as easy as possible. She was very easy to talk to and was quick to respond to any questions I had. We were approved for a grant and were able to get Bella three more months of therapy. They sent out monthly checks and the process was very clear cut I would not have been able to provide the therapy for Bella without the grant. We are extremely thankful to the board and the foundation for all they have done for our family. Bella has made great progress and we cant wait to see what she gains next.
Our nonprofit worked with Guaranteed Rate Foundation to help a family whose child/grandchild was a victim of shaken baby syndrome by another man. The child now has limited mobility and needs significant medical support. Together, we applied to the foundation and were hopeful as we moved through the two rounds of the process. We were delighted that the foundation supported the family with a full year of mortgage payments, allowing the family to be able to take a loan for an adaptive van. The process is long, but the staff prepares you for the process. It's very difficult to find grants in a larger amount that can really make a difference in the lives of families in need. While they have many more requests for support than they can cover, it's a reminder that people do want to help and organizations can make an impact!
Avery is a 12 year old triplet with quadriplegia cerebral palsy. His triplet sisters also have CP, but diplegia (mild). Our house did not have space for his equipment to be used in his bedroom, nor did it have a roll-in shower, so he was getting sponge baths. With the help of of Guaranteed Rate Foundation, we were able to have a bedroom and bathroom designed specifically for Avery’s needs. It has been absolutely amazing! Thank you for the grant to make this dream a reality!!!
On July 20, 2021, my wife Sofia experienced an unexpected and unexplained stroke at age 47. Our lives were completely devastated and disrupted, with so much unknown about the future. We did not know if she would survive. After coming out of a coma, each day was a waiting game to see if she would be able to breath, eat, walk, or move on her own again. I needed and wanted to be by her side at all times so I took a paid medical leave from work. After 3 months the paid medical leave became unpaid medical leave and I had to make a decision on how I was going to meet our basic needs including paying mortgage, utilities, food and my wife's medical needs. In December Sofia became eligible to come home rather than stay in a rehabilitation center. I was told that people in her condition have a higher recovery rate when they are in their own home environment. I was left to consider whether I could care for her at home or if I would need to go back to work to keep us from a financial crisis.
I then received notice from the Guaranteed Rate Foundation that we were awarded 6 months of financial assistance to pay our mortgage, utilities and food. What a blessing! A major weight was lifted off of me knowing that I could conserve all my energy to care for my wife Sofia and support her recovery in our home without the stress and strain of experiencing a financial crisis. The staff at Guaranteed Rate Foundation were compassionate, gentle and sensitive to our situation. We really felt respected and they keep us informed all along the way.
Today, a year since my wife's stroke, she is breathing and eating on her own. She has learned to get out of bed and into a wheelchair and has even begun to take steps. Although her journey of recovery is far from over, I do not believe she would have made so much progress if she wasn't able to come home when she did and if I wasn't able to commit all my time and energy supporting her in her recovery. I truly believe that without the support from Guaranteed Rate Foundation, Sofia would not have recovered as much as she has during those first 6 months at home. They say that the first year after a stroke is the most important period for recovery. Guaranteed Rate Foundation support came at the most impactful time in our lives. We are forever grateful for their support.

At 31 years old, I underwent amputation of both legs below the knee and my left hand due to complications of septic shock. My husband and I have two small children, and athletics have always been a huge part of my life. Right off the bat I knew my goals were to regain my fitness for myself and my family, and to be able to dance ballroom again. Unfortunately sport prostheses are very expensive and not covered by any insurance.
Thanks to the generosity of Guaranteed Rate Foundation, I now three separate sets of custom prosthetics legs which allow me to bike, run, and dance. Being able to race triathlons, ride bikes with my kids, and dance with my husband has meant the world to me. I could type for days and still never be able to express how grateful my family and I are for GRF.
I was in need of a double lung transplant due to my combat service in the U.S. Marines. I had to raise a substantial amount of money in order to relocate to Durham NC, we live 2 hours away so we had no choice, after searching high and low we found Guaranteed Rate Foundation which took all of our information and it wasn't long before they were helping us with lodging as well as food. There is not enough room in this section to say how amazing this organazation is, they step in and take over so you have no worries and you can just focus on your recovery or whatever it is you need to prioritize, which is exactly what we did. He has a multiple heart problems that he have since 5 years old. Everything is working well for us just doing 6 months check-up with his cardiologists and maintenance medications.
When he turned 19 years old , he is having symptoms of heart failure. He was supposed to have a replacement of tricuspid valve when he coded in the surgery room that lead him to have a heart transplant. He had a lot of complications after the transplant and now he is in end stage renal failure and waiting for a kidney transplant. We stayed in a children hospital for almost 3 years.
Adult dialysis clinic, don’t accept him because of his complications. We have to travel to Chicago to get his hemodialysis in a pediatric dialysis clinic. This foundation helped us to do his bathroom modification and helped get a Nurse to do his home dialysis. It was very convenient and safe for him to do the treatment at home. My son was able to
attend school in the morning and after
school we do his Hemodialysis at home .
It saves us a lot of time traveling.
Now, my son can enjoy his last year of
Transition School. I thank God for all the support we are getting from this nonprofit organization that they make all impossible dreams come true. We are able to move on with our life because of the gift they grant us.

My daughter has arthrogryposis ( problemmwith hers legs that wouldn't allow her to walk) and went through 3 surgeries in 2021 in Florida. At the time we lived in Los Angeles and we were suppose to go back, but in LA we were on lockdown, so she would have almost no therapy and all her surgeries would be wasted. As the main part of that was therapy after. We decided to stay in Florida for a while, nut our insurance woulnt cover much of the out of state therapy. I am 39 with stage 3c metastatic ovarian cancer. I go to Mayo Clinic in Rochester Minnesota every 4 weeks for treatments. I’ve had hundreds of rounds of chemo and 39 operations due to my cancer. I am so blessed that the Rate Foundation chose me to help. With your help I am able to afford the hotel Accommodations and some food too. This has been such a blessing to me. So god bless your organization and your donors for being so generous to help me with costs for 12 months !
I found out about the Guaranteed Rate Foundation through a friend who has worked for GR for many years and suggested I look to see if they would be able to help any of the women that I come across as volunteer of Salt and Light Coalition ("SALC"). SALC is a grassroots non-profit movement based in Chicago that helps survivors ("Thrivers") who have been sex trafficked, heal and thrive in our community. Many, like Sandra, have backgrounds and stories that are unbearable and hard to hear. I wanted to help guide Sandra in her journey with SALC and through the GR Foundation grant process in hopes to be able to provide her with the catapult to change the trajectory of her life. Sandra (the recipient of the grant) worked very hard to work through the grant process. Was very honest and transparent. The grant changed Sandra's life. From the Director of Development to her Case Manager, all were so willing to help guide us the process. We are so forever grateful.
I am so blessed and super proud to be a volunteer for the Guaranteed Rate Foundation where we do so much good in our communities and 100% of the donations go directly to people in need. I started working as a volunteer within this organization a few months ago and it has quickly become one of the favorite parts of my week. The thought, detail, and generosity this group puts into each case is inspiring. It's been such a great experience so far.
My son has a heart problems since his 5 years old. He is in the autism spectrum, with mental delay and non verbal. He lost his father when his 5 years old. In August 2014 they need to put a pacemaker and defibrillator in him. In November 2019, he is in Heart failure and needs a Replacement of the Tricuspid Valve. During his procedure he coded and they hooked him with the ECMO Machine. November 17, 2019 when he got his Heart Transplant. It has too much complications and we needed to stay in the Hosptital for a year and eight months.
It’s a very hard life for us. I am a single mom and without all those kind hearted people and nonprofit organizations like - Guaranteed Rate Foundation who helped us
to continue living our normal life. They are God’s blessings to us. They are so Amazing in what they do and without these organizations, people like us who really need help won’t survive this kind of crisis.
They relieved me in a lot of miseries . They will do their very best to help you in your situations. They lift up the hardest problem that I will have for his dialysis treatments. They will help me to give him a convenient dialysis that can be done at home. They will help financially to pay the dialysis Nurse.
They are giving him his bathroom modifications, finally after 2 years of having his bed bath. In a few months he can use his shower chair to have it in a safe and disabled bathroom. May God continue to bless all the people who helps this nonprofit foundations.

So Grateful! Without our Grant, my husband would not be able to stand right now. We needed physical therapy for him after his heart attack caused him brain injury. We have been working with Guaranteed Rate Foundation(GRF) for four years. I have been in this field for almost 40 years and have never worked with an organization that gives directly to people in need, making immediate impact, like the Guaranteed Rate Foundation. A seemingly simple thing like dentures is life changing. It not only makes a person feel and look better, it leads to jobs as it did for one of our clients who was without teeth for 7 months while trying to traverse agencies, red tape and rules to no avail. One application to GRF and now she has dentures, self confidence and is on the road to employment again. That is one very small example, there are so many more. Our agency has referred a number of people who have had their lives changed with nearly $70,000 in direct funding.
I have been a Mortgage Loan Officer with Guaranteed Rate for a year and a volunteer on The Giving Team of the Guaranteed Rate Foundation for 6 months. The non-profit, The Guaranteed Rate Foundation started in 2012 when an employee of Guaranteed Rate had a house fire and was left with nothing. Through the kindness and generosity of numerous Guaranteed Rate employees spearheaded by the founder and CEO of Guaranteed Rate, Victor Ciardelli, The Guaranteed Rate Foundation was born. Since then, The Guaranteed Rate Foundation has given approximately 5.5 million dollars to families in crisis. In 2021 alone, the Foundation has granted approximately 1.3 million. The Guaranteed Rate Foundation provides customized financial support to those working to overcome extraordinary hardships. Volunteering with the Guaranteed Rate Giving Team has been so fulfilling and rewarding. I take great pride in this role and look forward to assisting as many individuals and families as possible.

On August 22, 2012 our world was forever changed. That was the day my husband suffered a severe Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). He was in a non-responsive coma on life support without much chance of surviving or waking up, not to mention ever being able to function in any sort of way and the doctors did not give me much hope for any improvement in his condition. It was over three months of not, day to day, but hour to hour of worrying if he would make it for another hour. Then one day as I was sitting by his bed, I saw one of his eyes open for a few seconds. It was at that point I became very determined that he was going to get better even if it killed us both! The road to recovery has been very long and hard, with one obstacle after another thrown in our path. We both have worked very hard and he has made huge improvements with the continuous help of his therapist with Minds Matter, he was able to return home on September 20, 2015, where obstacles still come into play. One of the biggest was safe transportation for him. We reached out to Guaranteed Rate Foundation for help. I received a phone call that we had made it to the second phase of the process and I didn’t want to get my hope up too much because we have been down that path before but I couldn’t help keeping some hope for the help we needed. They were very patient and understanding with me trying to get all the information uploaded onto the computer. Then we were able to meet on Skype and tell them about ourselves and our situation. That’s when we found out that they could help us! I cannot began to explain just what a life changing gift this is. My husband and I can now go places safely without the need of trying to find another person to go with us for help. We are now able to go grocery shopping, doctor's appointments, family outings, fishing, visit a park or zoo and he can become a part of the community again. He can even go pick out his own clothing now. We are also planning to go out for dinner on our 46th anniversary! On our first outing we went shopping at the Legends this was the first time for us since 2012. None of this would be possible without the generosity and compassion of Guaranteed Rate Foundation. We are beyond thankful and grateful for what they have done for us. What GRF has done has given us back some normalcy and quality of life for us both and that is immeasurable.

From the first call I received from Jenny at Guaranteed Rate Foundation, I felt like people who cared would be ‘handling my case’. I had requested help in my lowest time and when she called and asked me what I needed, it was the first time I could verbalize to anyone how badly things had gotten and what could help me get out of my situation. I was always treated with respect and the kindness that has been extended to me by Guaranteed Rate Foundation still makes my heart ache with gratitude. As I sit here in my new, safe, beautiful apartment with my child sleeping peacefully, I cannot believe that this organization offers help that is so kind and life changing! I can never repay you for your generosity but I will be forever grateful to your organization for being an entire support network equivalent of friends, family and a village when I didn’t have any of the above that could help my son or myself. I am a single mom of two little boys. I was in a homeless shelter and finally found an apartment that i knew i couldnt afford and landed a decent job i knew my car wouldnt make it to but i finally had the opportunity to make a decent living and i grabbed it and hung on with the people at guaranteed rate they blessed my family with a hand up with a vehicle and help with rent so i am able to go to that job and make a living and pay my rent. The selfless acts of the guaranteed rate foundation has helped me beyond my dreams. I am able to finally be self sufficient and all thanks to the help of this place. Ive never had an opportunity to be on my two feet with the help of guaranteed rate so many doors have opened up for my little family and its been a life changing experience thank you to all the volunteers the board and my case manager for advocating for us. Im able to provide a safe healthy home for my children and give back to the community that once served me also.
I'm an employee of Guaranteed Rate and have been a Volunteer on the Giving Team, educating our community about the Guaranteed Rate Foundation for over a year and a half. I've never seen anything like it and am grateful to be a part of it. The foundation provides a level of assistance that can truly change the trajectory and quality of people's lives. The foundation has provided assistance to people in my community that were dire circumstances and who had experienced heartbreaking tragedies. For example, I received a call on December 24th last year from the CEO of a company that provides care for people who have brain injuries. She and her staff were in tears as they had just learned that we were helping one of their client who had been home bound in a wheelchair, not able to attend church, community outings etc. We let them know we were paying for an exterior lift added to their home and pay for 12 months of mortgage payments. It also feels good knowing that 100% of donations to the Guaranteed Rate Foundation go to recipients.
I've been involved with the Guaranteed Rate Foundation for over a year and I'm proud to serve as a volunteer. The Foundation team and volunteers put forth a tremendous amount of time, treasure, and talent to support those who are overcoming extraordinary hardships. It's humbling to see how many people, unique situations, and live's we've positively impacted!
Grow for Good for is one of the core values at Guaranteed Rate and, to me, the Guaranteed Rate Foundation is the best example of that principle. Our team of volunteers strive to provide specific financial relief to people experiencing extraordinary hardship. As the Foundation continues to grow, our ability to provide assistance increases as well. I am grateful to be part of this selfless team that consistently makes a positive impact across the country.
As a volunteer of the Guaranteed Rate Foundation, it's been incredible to see its impact on the lives of individuals and families across the country. The Foundation plays a unique and necessary role in providing individualized grants to those experiencing a wide-range of hardships. The Foundation works hard to not only help its recipients, but find the most effective way to do so - giving them a sustainable path forward.
We should all feel more secure knowing that there is an organization doing this type of work and providing hope to its community.
Guaranteed Rate Foundation is a GODSEND!! My little girl was diagnosed with brain cancer/brain tumor in March 2019. My divorce was finalized 6 days prior to her diagnosis so my financial situation was not good. I have my own health issues with my MS and my stress level was through the roof on how I was going to work and be with my sweet Sydney everyday in the hospital throughout her treatment. A friend of mine sent me the link to apply for the Guaranteed Rate Foundation assistance and I thank God for them!! Because of their assistance, I was able to keep my home and provide for myself and my daughter throughout her treatment process. I would never have been able to have done this without them. They were a BLESSING to me in a time of my life that was truly my lowest!! My little girl is now 8 months CANCER FREE and I was able to be with her every night that she was in the hospital, through every treatment stay and able to get her specialized radiation to treat her tumor. My little girl is EVERYTHING to me and Guaranteed Rate Foundation was a life saver for us. I will never be able to thank them enough!!!
Guaranteed Rate Foundation was by all means fantastic their staff is amazing caring and resourceful. We are a family of 5 in the state of Texas and I'm so thankful for the grant we received from Guaranteed Rate Foundation.
