I filled out an application for an adorable lab mix I saw on her website, I was approved but had to wait 2 weeks for a transport from Mississippi. I just fell in love with the dog in the photo. The day she was to arrive I was told I had to pick her up that evening, I drove all the way to Brookville. Transport arrived , the dog they got off the transport looked nothing like the dog I had a photo of, didn’t know it’s name , was skinny and totally black instead of the black and white stocky dog I had fell for. When I pointed this out and reminded by showing her the photo, she told me they had a mix up in photos . I said well you let me think for 3 weeks that the dog in this photo was my dog, she then asked if I would like one of the other two dogs which came in that transport. She acted like it was no big deal to bait and switch.I feel this dog never really existed. Especially after she told me my dog had been adopted the week before.( again you approved me for this dog but then you gave it to someone else, I find that hard to believe ) So why promise me a dog that’s not there .After I left dogless I watched her website and she finally took the picture down after another week. . If you know the picture is wrong remove it. Be careful read other people’s reviews and go someplace else . Renee was not honest with me .

we had a absolutely horrible experience with this rescue!!!!!! only talked to one lady, renee. i guess she's the one who owns it. we lost our purebred AKC $3200 dog due to her freaking during a storm. we did everything we knew of to find her. including posting something of facebook. we were contacted by the microchip company abt a month later asking if we had sold our dog. absolutely not! come to find out someone had picked up our dog. we believe it was someone the rescue worked with and gave her to this rescue. we contacted the rescue to find out how she had gotten her and see if we could get her back. she said she had called the microchip company trying to find a owner however they say they would have record of that if she had. she also admitted that she believed it was a stray when she took it in which is illegal for a rescue to do according to Ohio SPCA. we felt like she was very dishonest with us and absolutely unworkable as far as making the situation right. furthermore why in the world is she getting wild dogs from texas!? let the texas ppl deal with their own animals!

Awful, unconscionable, and ultimately sad for both the dogs that never find homes and for the loving families that make the mistake of contacting this so-called non-profit.

The organization claims to be run by "professional business women" but is, in fact, a shell game run by one or several frauds who use the promise of pet adoption to swindle potential adopting families out of cash.
She advertises dogs that they are not housing, requires a cash "donation" from all potential adopters as a pre-requisite to applying, and then disappears.

What you can expect when you inquire about a pet: a curt response of 5-6 words with no punctuation and little information that looks like it was written by a 8-year-old.
What you can expect once you pay the required adoption "donation": no response at all.
What you can expect when you follow up with a phone call: a short, aggressive, rude response: "No. Don't call back."

To be avoided. Should be shut down.

Don’t deal with Renee. Adoptions have not worked out due to her. It’s sad for the dogs.

Don't deal with this lady! My experience was awful. I could tell many horror stories just from 1 incident of dealing with them. It was the worst experience ever.

I'm noticing that only negative reviews make it to this site if any. Please visit their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/GreaterDaytonLabRescue/reviews for a far greater variety of non-biased reviews.

Don't deal with this group! Well...rather the female who runs it!!! She's all about the money and doesn't need to be in charge of anything.

Horrible adoption agency! Renee is who I worked with when I was wanting to adopt a lab. I was looking at a dog named Corey she said he was perfect for what I said I wanted for myself and my son in our home. She then had to get him treated for heart worms and wanted me to foster wile he healed but I had read about the healing process and told her I didn't think I should take him till he's healed then if adopt him because I have a young son and stairs (not good for healing). Later she insisted Corey was a bad fit for us cuz he was too hyper and crazy. She then pushed another dog named Walker on me that she was getting from Porto Rico ...Well I went to her home she nor walker where there yet so her husband let me in to wait as I waited I saw Corey the original dog I was looking at he did not act nor seem crazy at all he was very sweet. But then her and Walker got there and I took him for a walk I ended up giving her part of the money for him saying id be back the next day to give her the rest. To my surprise so got walker all ready and gave him to me I said oh I'm taking him today she said well yes. He had never even been to her home clearly so she had just got him like that day. I wrote her a few days later asking about some Bolding on his chest she quickly brushed it off claiming it was nothing I asked if he had been to the vet cuz it had me worried she said no not since she had him but he was taken when he lived in Porto Rico. So here is the problem I paid a large adoption fee for a dog you didn't even have checked out and didn't even have time to evaluate... To top it all off due to your crappy previous care he had an ear infection I was unaware of that has gotten so bad it's bloody and smelly now. So now Iv had to take him to an emergency appointment. He has a ear infection so bad it just bleed the whole time they tried to clean it also he has skin mites the vet assured me he has had these since I got him and this should have been looked at before he was adopted out to me so now Iv spent over $200 in vet bills and meds for him pretty much my adoption fee hmm. I have heard nothing but bad things about this adoption agency about how the animals are nothing but money bags to you people. It's rediculous. I'm hoping very much to get you guys shut down and will be making it a very big priority to make sure everyone knows about this.
You didn't want me to take Corey because you actually had to put money into him so you where probably wanting more for him.
Charging an adoption fee for a dog you did not have to care for and didn't even take to a vet is wrong! And I could give two craps about the money really I mean it's no sweat off me the problem is that my dog had to suffer due to you careless people!
