Mission: Good shepherd hospice, a member of catholic health services of long island, as a ministry of the catholic church, continues christ's healing mission ,promotes excellence in care, and commits itself to those in need. Chs affirms the sanctity of life, and advocates for the poor and underserved, and serves the common good. It conducts its healthcare practice, business, education and innovation with justice, integrity and respect for the dignity of each person.
Programs: Hospice care-focused on patient comfort in an environment that affirms life and dignity. Including a network of professional caregivers working in conjunction with the patient's primary care physician. The multidisciplinary approach ensures the delivery of high quality physical, psychological and spiritual care throughout the process. Hospice served a total of 3,443 patients in 2016 and our daily census was 352.
