During the summer of 2022, my son and I had the privilege of training his service dog with Marj and her compassionate, amazing team. Marj and her team are always available for follow-up questions. You become part of the Glad Wags family. My son's dog has truly saved his life, his hopes and dreams. He has Tourette's and his dog keeps him calm and safe, allowing him to continue his university studies with a bright future ahead. Thank you, Marj and Glad Wags! Forever grateful!

Words really cannot describe my gratitude to Glad Wags. In a nutshell, they saved my
son's life. He was in a frightening downward spiral both emotionally and neurologically
due to having Tourette's syndrome that was escalating rapidly in severity.
Glad Wags quickly paired my son with an excellent service dog. They bonded immediately,
and with the Glad Wags team led by Marj, my son and his dog trained well together.
Marj is always accessible to answer questions either by text, phone or email.
My son's dream of pursuing his PhD in mathematics in academia continues, thanks to
Glad Wags. It is amazing how my son's service dog can sense an oncoming attack and
prevents it. I was also privileged to meet several clients and their service dogs and was
amazed by the broad range of physical and mental health disorders that the dogs are specifically trained for. I highly, highly, highly recommend Glad Wags! They are very affordable too.
I believe Marj and Glad Wags Service Dogs do an awesome job at helping people with disabilities live their best life. I have come to tears of joy when I see a child's life completely change for the best.
I can not express how grateful I am to Marj and Glad Wags.I have had a seizure disorder ever since I was 4 years old and never new when they were going to happen. But thanks to Glad Wags excepting me as a client and Marj finding the perfect dog.I rest a lot easier at night. One night in particular I had an episode with my service dog laying on the floor. But in that moment when I looked at her she knew I needed her help. She immediately covered me then waited patiently for the episode to pass.My service dog Izzy has never gone a day without giving me a warning of what is to come throughout the day.Glad Wags is an extraordinary organization and Marj is a very knowledgeable person.Thank you all for giving me the support I need to get through each day.
I'M HAPPY TO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO SHARE MY STORY ABOUT GLAD WAGS AND TRAINER MARJ!
WE WERE IN SEARCH OF A SEIZURE ALERT DOG WHEN I HAPPENED ON TO GLAD WAGS ONLINE. I CALLED AND MARJ SPOKE WITH ME IN DEPTH ABOUT THE STEPS AND ALL ABOUT GLAD WAGS. BUT, SHE DIDN'T TELL ME HOW ABSOLUTELY AMAZING SHE AND HER STAFF/VOLUNTEERS AND FAMILY OF CLIENTS WOULD BE. MARJ FOUND A DOG WITHIN A FEW WEEKS AND IZZY AND RONNIE HAD AN INSTANT CONNECTION. WE ATTEND TRAINING CLASSES AND SERVICE DOG SATURDAYS AND NOT ONLY LEARN BUT ENJOY THE TIME SPENT WITH OTHERS AND THEIR DOGS. IZZY HAS CHANGED OUR LIVES IN THAT, MY DAUGHTER NOW HAS A NEW RESPONSIBILITY AND PURPOSE AND IZZY HAS PROVED TO BE A COMFORT AND COMPANION AND ALERTS ON HER SEIZURE ACTIVITY. MARJ AND TEAM CONTINUE TO PROVIDE PHONE AND IN PERSON SUPPORT AS IZZY IS STILL LEARNING. WE ALL ARE! I CANNOT EXPRESS HOW IMPRESSIVE MARJ IS, WITH HER KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS AND ENDLESS HOURS AND EFFORT IN TRAINING DOGS. SHE TRULY IS MAJIC MARJ AND WE LOVE HER AND ANGIE AND THE GLAD WAGS FAMILY. THEY ABSOLUTELY DESERVE ANY SUPPORT AND FUNDING AVAILABLE TO THEM!
My friend works with this group and volunteering with the group brings her great joy and her dog is very well trained.
I often donate items for give aways and prizes and enjoy watching the organization change lives of the clients they serve.
the head trainer know her stuff and I have a lot of respect for her and the volunteerss helping.
Marj helped place me with Thor, my service dog. Since bringing him home, he has improved my life so much! He picked up on things Marj didn’t even teach him! He helps me in my day-to-day with battling PTSD, severe anxiety, and depression. Marj will make sure your service dog does not cost an arm and a leg. She truly is the best trainer out there!
What an amazing experience!! I bought a new puppy and he was so destructive - he went started learning training and is a completely different (better) dog now - he learned and continues to learn at weekly classes how to be the best he can be!!
I feel like at one point there was love for animals, but things have gone astray. One quick google search of the name and you know not to use them. The story is horrific. The conditions of the animals were horrific. Classes are regularly canceled. The facility itself is dirty and unkept. Do your research please.
Marj has trained many of my wife's service dogs in the past. Even though we have chosen to no longer be clients of hers (due to distance we had to travel), we would recommend others go to her and have their dogs trained. She cares about her clients and their dogs. We used her from 2008-2022.

My wife has been in the need of service dogs due to her health. She started looking for a service dog trainer in 2008. We were fortunate to come across Marj Satterfield. She has proven to be the best fit for our needs. My wife has had three- four service dogs trained by Marj. She is worth the money, distance, and time for the service dog to get the best training.
Even though I am no longer associated with them, the training was good. I had several dogs who were trained by this organization since 2008. They were caring, had good techniques, and worked hard to deliver a good service dog.

I'm so glad that my son Paul who has Tourette syndrome could find this organization ''Glad Wags Service Dogs'' and get a dog that fit his personality and that is able to detect in advance an upcoming outburst of tics, and act swiftly to help Paul to go through the crisis. This dog, well trained by Marj, will give him confidence and reassurance wherever he goes. Thank you Marj.
I was given the chance to have a service dog for my Tourette's syndrome with Yoshi, a beautiful golden retriever, thanks to Marj the dog trainer! He can detect when I'm about to have serious episodes of tics and warn me in advance, and then help me power through these attacks. Truly a gift!
Hello, my name is JennyLynn, deaf with low vision. For years I’ve struggled with depression and anxiety. When I came across Glad Wags Service Dogs Inc online, I was at the point of giving up on the prospect of successfully finding a service dog or a trainer to help me train my cocker spaniel. Desperately needed a service dog to have with me and help me feel safe in any environment I am in, whether it is social, medical, at home or at work but the waiting list is years long and the application process is extremely overwhelming for me. When I reached out to Marjorie, I asked for help and she did everything possible to make sure the application process went smooth. When we were accepted into the program, I broke down and cried because the frustration was unbearable and the relief was so profound. Now my ten-month-old cocker spaniel has made an impact on my life significantly. We’ve been training for the past six months and Nachari is doing extremely well, she’s so smart! She alerts me when someone is at the door, she sits really close to me when I’m anxious at work or at a restaurant. She lets me know when people are close by and lays close to me when I’m asleep. Regardless of the situation I know exactly where she is and is ready to let me hold her at a moment’s notice. I can’t ask for a better dog and Marjorie made this all possible. Glad Wags Service Dogs Inc, in more ways than one, changed my life for the better.
I was at a loss. I wanted to give up and made plans for my final goodbyes. But this is not a sad story because Glad Wags Service Dogs gave me hope- but not just that- a life-saving friend. Damian is my special boy and he is more that just a dog- he is a service dog. That means that he is tasked with keeping me safe and medically stable with alerts and responses to things like tic attacks, psychogenic seizures, paralysis attacks, and traumatic flashbacks.
Anyone with a disability could search around for a service dog but GWSD gave me one at a price even I could afford. Tourette's Service Dogs are few and far between. When I searched, there were THREE places, two of them charged over $40,000. THEN I CALLED MARJ. "$8,500" she said. "I can get you a dog in a year." THIRTEEN months later, I was WALKING. I was SMILING again and above all, I couldn't WAIT to see where my life was going to go with him. By my side, whether I am in my chair or using a bracing harness, Damian walks with his head up and reminds me to do the same. Thank you Marj and to my true family: The Glad Wags Family.
After searching for three years for someone to help my husband with training a service dog we found Mark. She is such a blessing. She never hesitates to answer any questions no matter the time. She has a heart for veterans and is just amazing giving people the confidence they need to train their service dogs and fur babies.
We did not get our dog because all of her animals were seized by the county. We prepaid 8,500.00 to get a diabetic alert dog for our daughter. We DID NOT get the money back. I told her we wanted our money back. Highly do not recommend. We could have used that money for diabetic supplies, but never got it back.
This non profit was led by someone with animal abuse charges. Google “glad wags animal abuse” and you will learn of the 106 dogs left in deplorable conditions.
I got my service dog Jade to help with my Tourette Syndrome. My case is quite severe and I often have really aggressive and painful tic attacks. Jade is able to provide support as well as letting me know I’m ticcing pretty bad. To me, Jade isn’t just a service dog but she is like a best friend. She’s a great companion and has improved my mental health a lot as well as giving me a routine to follow which has helped me get out of bed and out of a depression. She’s the sweetest dog I’ve ever had and I love her so much. She’s my prefect match!
Marj is an incredible dog trainer and an even better person to work with, we absolutely love her and would recommend her services to anyone! Thank you Glad Wags!
Narcolepsy is not easy to live with..After being diagnosed I broke my right foot..It was so severe that everyone began saying..It would be great if there were a service dog that can be trained for Narcolepsy.. I googled it and up came some VERY outrageously priced possibilities..
The first was $65,000.. and one was 25,000..but you had to stay for 3 months while they trained the dog..but the wait to get a dog was 3-5 years..With the falls I have taken..I don't think I would be able to physically make 3-5 years without help..
Then I found Gladwags Service Dogs from Tulsa.. Marj returned my call within a few hours..Marj explained what a service dog could do for me..I would be able to do things again..on my own..
I would be able to go to dinner..to the store..anything..I would be able to have freedom once again..
This month I went to train with her for a few days..I was in awe of what they trained her to do..and..what she will be able to do..What she will be able to do is give me freedom..hope..and my life back..
Marj has been training for over 40 years..Marj knows dogs..and she loves them..Once you become part of the Gladwags family..you will always be part of it..
Marj wants you and your dog to be successful so you can have the best of life..
Very soon..I will have my dog home with me..
Please if you have a special need..then call or get in touch with Gladwags..you will be so very thankful you did..
Gladwags..is LIFE CHANGING..
Absolutely fantastic. So responsive and helpful. Marj truly cares about each person and dog she meets and works with.
My Joan has had a lot of issues in the last 10 years, since was diagnosed with narcolepsy. She falling many times and broke her foot, ankle and had stitches in her head. She heard about glad wags and we contacted them. We were able to get her a dog. We got her as puppy and sent her there when she was 5 months old we went out to Tulsa Oklahoma and trained with her and we were amazed how Dottie our dog has learned. She knew exactly when Joan was having narcolepsy spell before it happened. We can’t wait to get her home it will be a life changing invent. I can’t thank Marg from flag wags enough. She’s a wonderful person and loves all her dogs. If your looking for a service dog for whatever your medical condition, please contact her she’s reasonable in price and you’ll be so glad you did.

I needed a service dog for myself. I called and emailed several places to try and get information – unfortunately I did not get many return phone calls or emails. When I called Glad Wags Service Dog – I had to leave a message – but when the head trainer called me back – she patiently answered all my questions about the process – how to get started, how much, etc. I had to think about it – because it was a lot of information. After about a week of thinking about it – I called the Trainer back and asked even more questions. I decided soon after that this is something I needed to do. I was amazed at how long she talked to me and how much advice she gave before she even had money from me. I now have a great service dog and service dog family that is knowledgeable and caring. I highly recommend them.
Been helping with this group for a few years and I’ve seen the changes they have made to their selection process. They want to make sure if you’re applying – you really know what it takes to be successful service dog handler. Once you decide to go with them – you are welcomed into the “family” and supported in so many ways. Glad to be able to be part of this group.
Real experience. The trainer really know her stuff and her dogs. They are very helpful with training a service dog. Great Resource.
I have had the privilege to watch and learn about training Service Dogs with Glad Wags Service Dogs. It has been an eye-opening experience. I had no idea how much time and work goes into training a service dog. It goes much farther then just training a family pet to listen and obey. A service dog has to be able to think and problem solve in case its owner/handler is unable to do so. Due to the level of thinking the dog needs to do – not all dogs can become service dogs. The trainers at Glad Wags have been great about explaining the process to the families receiving the dogs. There are strict rules to ensure the success of each client and dog team. And it is truly wonderful to see the bond build between client and dog throughout the process. I am amazed at how a dog can truly change a disabled individuals’ life for the better.
I joined the self directed program about 6 months ago and am learning the difference between making my dog a “pet” dog and making my dog a service dog. Whenever I’ve headed into the “pet” category the Executive Trainer has been very honest about what I am doing wrong and then she explains how to fix it. Me and my dog have so much farther to go but I have no doubts we will get there with the help of the Glad Wags Service Dogs team. I am sooooo grateful I found them.
I have been volunteering for several years and I never tire of seeing clients gain part if not all of their independence back by getting a service dog. It is heartwarming to see the “magic” happen when the handlers put the work in. I am very blessed to be able to continue to help.
Not only the best several dogs and therapy dogs, but the best training for the handler! INTEGRITY is the word that best suits GLAD WAGS.

Fantastic organization!! Very knowledgeable trainer, Marj!! Treat training, NEVER using e-collars (shock collars). Very kind and informative as to teach ME the proper way to handle and get maximum ability from my dog.
Always willing to help with fundraisers to assist individuals who need assistance paying for their service dog. Funds raised help pay for the feed, veterinary care, and scholarships for training.
I salute, GLAD WAGS SERVICE DOGS and Marj for your selfless giving and assistance!! Thank you for the best service dog ever!! I wouldn't take a million dollars for my Elvis!!!
Glad Wags has truly changed my life. Before I got my service dog Rowan from them, my life was hell. My disability doesn’t hold me back anymore, all thanks to Rowan and the great not profit I got him from.❤️
Our service dog from GladWags is fantastic. Our daughter benefits tremendously from from the dog. GladWags training, help and support is wonderful.
This program helped my daughter get and train a dog to help with Tourette’s. They are professional and very helpful
Our Service dog from GladWags is amazing and is such a blessing to our daughter. Training is wonderful and they are there to answer questions and give guidance all the time. GladWags is Amazing
Glad wags service dogs has been absolutely amazing. Currently my dog Penelope is in training to be a facility dog. Marj is great with her and you can tell she really cares about the clients and their dogs. Penelope has come a long way in the last 6 months with the help of glad wags. I highly recommend them.
I got my service dog home a few months ago and wow has he made such a difference, not to mention how well he’s trained. Marj made the training process easy and was very responsive to any of our questions, before and after our service dog was delivered. I hope that anyone looking for a program to train their service dog looks into Glad Wags as they have made such a big difference in my life.
You wont go wrong with Glad Wags. Marj, the owner/master dog trainer is one of the few that is knowledgeable and works with all breeds of dogs, full blood or from a shelter. She is very dedicated and passionate about what she does and refuses to give up on you OR your dog. You and your new family member can take individual or group classes from puppy 101 to advance obedience. She does a lot of work with service dogs and it is in this area where she gave me my independence back. I can’t thank her enough and will always be grateful.

I have known Marj at Glad Wags for many years and I attended her classes for dog training of my puggle Daphne, who came on leaps and bounds under her direction. More importantly, I have witnessed the selfless work Marj has done over the years to save dogs from the pound and train them as service dogs for needy people. Marj has a true calling in what she does and always puts her animals and her clients before herself. She will drop everything and do whatever needs doing to help someone in need, and regularly goes without herself so that others do not. Marj has been doing this work for over 50 years and I have seen the dogs that she trains literally save peoples lives by enabling them to live and contribute to society in a meaningful way. I cannot recommend Glad Wags more as a genuinely deserving and worthwhile charity.
Marj trained a dog for me that can actually smell my seizures. She is pretty strict with the dogs but loves them more than anything. I am proud to say that my dog is my best friend and I could never have afforded him if I went to some competitive, overpriced training program. Marj took a dog she saw potential in and gave me my life back.
I have a dog with anxiety and overly protective behaviors. I’ve tried shock collars, chock collars, citronella sprays, and muzzles to curb his behavior with minimal success.
I brought my dog to Marj after learning about her through his Tulsa daycare. After meeting my dog, Marj introduced me to the concept of “taking things off his resume” and addressing the root cause rather than imposing reactive punishment. I’ve been taking my dog to Marj’s class for almost a year, and my dog has made more progress than we made in the previous three years combined.
There is no one I trust more with my dog than Marj.
I have been a client of Marj Satterfield since the 1980's. I have taken dogs to her obedience classes and learned invaluable information on training and caring for them. I've come to rely on her for referrals to veterinary professionals and individual guidance on addressing my pets' behavioral issues. Two of my "best" pets were purebred rescue dogs provided to me -at no cost! - by Marj based on evaluation of my needs and character as well as theirs. After taking them through her classes they were both extremely well-behaved and their passing years later saddened many friends as well as family.
This week I called on Marj again for consultation on behavioral issues involving a shelter dog I adopted some time ago. Again she was more than willing to advise me - again at no cost - on addressing my concerns. Her practical advice considered the dog's history, breed, home and recent actions. The dog has been through hundreds of hours of professional training during the past two years, yet Marj recommended and explained sensible techniques we'd never heard of that we have confidence will prevent and resolve future problems. As I told her today, I have greater confidence in her than in any other professional I know.
I brought my dog to GladWags to trained as a service dog to assist me with deficits due to MS. I have found the GladWags trainers to be exceptionally professional, proficient, knowledgeable, patient, available and compassionate in the care and training of service dogs. Marj is readily available to answer questions or give advice any time one contacts her. Without my service dog, I would be unable to leave my home without another family member, find myself in dangerous situations and have a much lower quality of life. I would highly recommend GladWags to anyone and everyone who either wants to obtain a trained service dog or train a service dog. Thanks so much Marj and GlagWags for giving me my freedom back.
I visited Glad Wags a few times with my sister. It was great to see the variety of dogs and that they will train dogs that are older. There wasn’t an unhappy dog or owner in the place!
I found Glad Wags Service Dogs through my love of animals and therapy dogs. I was interested in training my own therapy dog. When I first learned of them i joined their Therapy Dog Team and as time went on was introduced to the Service Dog program and blessed to have been able to assist in various fundraising efforts. I have been blessed to be able to donate either monetarily or via items that could be used.
Marj and her volunteers put the animals first - always and sometimes Marj has gone without personally in order to help others. Marj keeps service dogs affordable for those that truly need them - rather than trying to profit from someone else's unfortunate circumstances.
It is my honor to be able to assist Glad Wags Service Dogs and through that ability to truly help those in need (both by saving shelter dogs an the people that need them).
Marj is fantastic and is so helpful with training service dogs, even going out of her way for follow up training and practice. Without Glad Wags, our lives would have been drastically different. We were so grateful to find an affordable place for service dog training, especially run by someone who cares so much about her clients and her dogs
I have two diabetic alert dogs from Glad Wags. Both of them started out as rescue/shelter dogs before going through training at Glad Wags. They have literally been life savers on multiple occasions since I can no longer tell when my blood sugar is going low or high. I can honestly say that I would not be here today without them (they literally put the "rescue" in rescue dogs!). Marj and her trainers do an excellent job training and caring for all their service dogs in training, and I love that they primarily use dogs from kill shelters, which not only gives these dogs a second chance at life, but also raises awareness for these often forgotten animals and how amazing they can be as companions.
So very grateful to have found Glad Wags and Marj the dog trainer. Our son’s service dog has given us back independence and improved his quality of life so much.
Highly recommend Glad Wags because of the personal attention and their care for individuals and dogs.
Glad wags is a good way to get a Service Dog for People with all kinds of Disability issues, they help out my daughter when she was going through her disability and she has had her dog for over 8 yrs now he does everything for her?
My experience with this non profit is.. just about the only way I was able to graduate highschool, without the help from gladwags.. I'm sure I would have had to skip graduation or even drop out if it wasnt for gladwags.
I have what used to be called "asperger's syndrome" but is now referred to as Autism Spectrum disorder, school was hard on me. I was told to act normal and disregard myself.
This all changed once I started to look up the benefits of service dogs.. by then I looked at so many different programs, some wanted up to 30k and.. would only place dogs with kids with autism.
I then found gladwags. We first chatted on the phone and me being a bit mute at times, my grandpa set up our first meet. We were open to a poodley doodley creature with low/no sheading. Fast forward about 3? Months later. We went to the training facility and were surprised that she had this beautiful poodle in the back, she brought him out to me and he immediately alerted to an oncoming melt down/panic attack and we spent weeks going up to class to see him. When the day came that I was able to take him home for the first day, I was(and still am) so thankful for him. He and I sat in my room, by my bed and we watched the Simpsons together. Months onward we kept him home! Still going to class each week to work on task work and getting ready for public access.
Today? As of October 31st 2018, hes still my right hand man, and believe me. I wouldnt trade him for anything that this earth has to offer.
This non profit is.. not only one to help those with disabilities, but to be able to help coach a family and even become family with the parcipients.
Where do I begin , since going to her (marj) she’s been able to give me back my freedom and helped me become more independent. Without her help I wouldn’t be where I am today she’s a lifesaver since having my service dog I’ve been able to graduate highshool and complete my second year at collage. I’m also currently working for her and learn something new and interesting everyday
Hello!
Like many of our volunteers I found Glad Wags Service Dogs through obedience dog training with my now 15 year old golden retriever / Samoyed Mix. After we passed the basic training - I learned about Glad Wags and it's Mission "Save a Life, Change a Life" and the organization's commitment to train AFFORDABLE service dogs for folks with different conditions (whether it be anxiety, seizure, diabetes, etc.).
I became involved with the Therapy Dog group and then after my mother passed in 2013 became much more active and the group became like a second family to me.
I have had the honor of meeting many of the clients we've helped and have seen the difference (first hand) a service dog has made in a client's life.
Having had mostly rescue dogs or dogs that have adopted me over my life - I LOVE the fact that we are able to rescue unwanted dogs and give them a new purpose in life and I thoroughly enjoy the walk with a rescued dog in it's discovery of it's new purposeful life. They are so happy to learn and discover themselves and build confidence in themselves. It's amazing to see it work!
I found Glad Wags through regular dog training classes and was immediately drawn to the mission of training service and therapy dogs . At first I simply volunteered my time by going on therapy dog visits and helping with things as I could.
About April 2017 - I began having more trouble with my blood sugar and was blessed to be able to get a diabetic service dog to alert me when it would drop suddenly.
The Master Trainer knows her stuff, always answers the phone (and if she doesn't she calls me back as soon as she can) and is supportive in the ongoing training / handling of my service dog.
Most service dog organizations have a waiting list - but Glad Wags usually does not - simply b/c they rescue dogs from high kill shelters and give them a new purpose. (another reason they are such a great charity.) All of the dogs are tested and trained and socialized.
This group has changed my life!
I could not be functional in public or at home anywhere close to what I am without Marj, GladWags and the other people in training with me. The support from Marj and the whole program changed my future. To go from the struggles, blocks, discouragement and frustration in society as well as with family and friends after developing a disability to finding myself surrounded by total acceptance, belief in my abilities to grow, and encouragement despite all of the challenges, continues to provide hope.
I had been exposed to a different service dog training program years ago and the negative, exclusive atmosphere of that kept me from trying to get my own service dog for a long time. Then I met a lady and her dog from Glad Wags. She was very encouraging and when I spoke to Marj I had confidence to check out Glad Wags. It was the opposite of what I had seen before.
Knowledge of being supported by and included with good people and amazing animals pushes me forward daily with my dog as my security and independance.
There are no words for the difference it gives.
Glad Wags helped me to be able to get a service dog for my son. Every place I called had never heard of Hemophilia, so they would not help with a service dog. Marj has helped our lives tremendously!!
I have witnessed first hand what a wonderful company Glad Wags has been and the great work they have been doing for years. I have seen people who had no idea what to do be transformed by the work and the dogs that Glad Wags have done. I will continue to watch to see the blossoming of the people blessed by the dogs provided by Glad Wags.
My name is Onyx Gonzalez. My struggle in life began early. At the age of 13 I attempted to commit suicide and was admitted to a psychiatric ward. I was diagnosed at that time with depression and extreme social anxiety. Since then I have have been on many, many, many medications. At one point I was taking up to 15 pills in one day. I have recently been diagnosed with PTSD from the abuse I experienced as a child. A trusted group of professionals are still trying to figure out my diagnosis to this day, there is a strong chance I have BPD. I have and do continue to struggle immensely with my various physical and mental conditions. I experience dissociation, panic attacks, fainting spells, chronic pain, severe anxiety and depressive spells among other things. At around the age of 14 I began to let my illnesses define who I was. I didn't want to leave my house. I isolated myself and shut out those around me. I gave up all hope in getting better. I didn't set goals in life because I didn't expect to live long enough to accomplish them. This all changed abruptly when I was 16. I met Marjorie Satterfield with Glad Wags dog training. She took me in under her wing and helped me. I never thought I would qualify for a service dog. Paying for a service dog wasn't something that would ever be possible through other places. Marj worked with me and my family to make it happen. Marj introduced me to a blue heeler named Kayla and it was love at first sight. I went to all 3 classes on mondays and tuesdays and just watched Marj train. Kayla can sense whenever I am going to have a panic attack or pass out. She does many tasks to help assist me with daily tasks that are easy for most people but difficult due to my disability. I began working for Marj in 2017 after many places turned me away due to my disability and service dog. Since then my life has drastically improved. Marj has been like a mother to me and I will never been able to thank her for what she has done for me and how she has changed my life. Marj has changed the life of so many people. ¨Save a life, Change a life¨ #GladWagsStrong
Marj is an awesome trainer. She has helped train my service dog who is now 8 years old. Before Marj, I was going down the wrong way with Sassy; however, Marj turned her around and helped me have a good service dog. Those who have tried and continued to work, often have had great experiences. Those who did not comply with the request, do not excel. One must be willing to do what is necessary to excel. Just like any other training program or even when in school, you must be willing to do what it takes to make the passing grade. Before Marj came along, my dog was on the course of not making it as a service dog. Since, Marj has trained my service dog, my service dog has become the lifesaver of my life. To use the disabilities as an excuse is no excuse, as everyone who needs a service dog has disabilities, My service dog has saved my life six times, allowed me to take on a part-time teaching position, allowed me to get on public transportation, and allows me to live! I have severe disabilities, but my Marj trained service dog has given me the independence I needed. The students love my service dog, and without my service dog I cant do anything. Over 95 percent of the clients in Glad Wags are happy with their dogs, but a few who did not want to work did not get what they wanted. Shame on you for not putting forth the work it takes to have a service dog!
