Causes: Environment, Garden Clubs
Mission: The garden club of virginia's mission is to restore historic gardens and landscapes, conserve virginia's natural resources, inspire a love of gardening and provide education for our members and the general public. To reach these ends, the garden club of virginia sponsors three major flower shows annually, presents various educational programs, and makes awards to encourage community conservation and beautification projects. Most notably, the garden club of virginia is recognized for its historic garden week, a statewide tour of gardens and homes. Proceeds from the tour are used to fund garden restoration projects throughout virginia.
Programs: Flower shows, conservation, and horticulture events, as well as fellowships, lecture series, and the periodically held symposium.
