Absolutely LOVE FastPacs and the impact it has on the community. Growing up as a child who relied on food from food banks, I know the impact it has on the children we serve. I love that FastPacs provides food that children actually eat....and enjoy! When you're not relying on food from others, you take for granted the package of name brand cookies or the name brand pudding. What FastPacs provides not only meets the nutritional needs of the students but also gives them a feeling of normalcy when things might be anything but "normal" at home. Happy to give (through donations and service) to such an impactful organization.
We love Frisco Fastpacs! My daughters and I enjoy volunteering with Fastpacs. This non-profit is so well organized and so well run. I love the mission and the story on how this came about. As Frisco continues to grow, there is a greater need for this non-profit. I encourage everyone to volunteer or make a donation.
I began volunteering with Frisco Fastpacs approximately 5 years ago. It is a blessing to so many students and homes. During the Pandemic especially, many families expressed their gratitude as they drove by and we loaded their pacs in the car. It is so comforting to know that the families we serve will have food for the weekend. We also provide snacks for the counselors during the school year so children with hunger pangs can stop by and grab a nutrition bar.
This Frisco founded organization helps students who don’t have meals over the weekends. I have volunteered for the past several years and have seen Fastpacs grow and shift, esp during the pandemic. So thankful this org exists to serve our community. Providing for our students or providing volunteer opportunities this is a non-profit to learn more about!
Fastpacs has been a great partner to the community in helping keep kids fed! So many people take food and hunger for granted. It's nice to have an organization that takes it upon itself to make a difference.
Love, Love, Love Frisco Student Fastoacs and our community. I have many friends who run them in different areas.
They put time, money, and energy into making sure all the kids in our community are taken care of, and have one less thing to worry about. A BIG THANK YOU for ALL the work you do everyday! #PAYITFORWARD!
Frisco Fastpacs is the source of food for Frisco students when school is not in session. The children in our community won’t go hungry as FF is a constant presence that offers them support.
The organization offers fun opportunities for volunteers to help with the mission of keeping bellies full. FF honors the privacy of the student beneficiaries. The group discreetly delivers meals to the schools where the students retrieve their bagged meals. Thoughtful notes accompany each bag. The children receive their nutritious meals while getting small tokens of thoughtfulness from the volunteers. FF positively impacts the health and well-being of Frisco children.
Every organization has an origin story. I've been with Fastpacs since its inception and am grateful for the opportunity to tell it here. It feels especially significant to write this today, Palm Sunday, the first day of Holy Week.
During Lent 2013, I chose to fast for 40 hours every week as part of my spiritual journey during that season. There was really no other reason than wanting to grow deeper in my relationship with God. During week one I knew I was in for much more than I bargained for. The sensation of hunger was not something I was familiar with. At all. The side effects began each week at about hour 16, and included agitation, irritability, brain fog, lethargy, fatigue, headache, and light-headedness. It was miserable but it was my choice. I couldn't help but think of those that suffered from hunger, much more extreme than I was experiencing and definitely not by choice. Especially children. My research told me that thousands of children in my own community qualified for free or reduced lunch and often faced food insecurity over the weekends when school was not in session. And there were no services at the time that filled this need. Once I knew this, I couldn't unknow it and I got to work planning and starting Frisco Fastpacs. The name honors the community we serve and my experience with fasting. Fastpacs provides thousands of meals each week to our most vulnerable population. My 'yes' was just the first in the longest line of yeses I have ever witnessed. Literally, hundreds of volunteers have passed through our doors over the past nine years and it has always been an honor to serve alongside each of them.
We love Fastpacs! My daughters and I have enjoyed volunteering and packing food bags for children in the area. It’s an amazing operation and so well run. Such a thoughtful and needed mission and we are grateful to have been a part of it!
Frisco Fastpacs is an amazing organization that supports the children of Frisco by providing weekend meals so that they are ready to come to school Monday morning ready to learn. I have enjoyed many volunteer roles with Fastpacs over the last 9 years...packing and delivering meals, leading pack nights, Board member for 4.5 years and now Operations Manager. Fastpacs is near and dear to my heart.
This organization has made such a huge impact in our community and has worked tirelessly to make sure children don't go hungry. Their genuine concern and heart for those in need is inspiring to say the least. Frisco Student Fastpacs has been a huge blessing to in our community!
My family and I have been volunteering with FastPacs for years. It is the most well run and organized non profit we have been affiliated with. It’s even more important these days with so many suffering from the pandemic/economic crisis. Also, I am so pleased how the Board continues to grow the reach and quality of the Pacs.
Frisco Fastpacs serves a critical need for students in our community. The food provided by Frisco Fastpacs ensures that students aren't food insecure on the weekends. Founded locally by a resident who saw a need and decided to fulfill that need, Frisco Fastpacs has been serving the growing Frisco ISD community for several years. The rapid population growth in Frisco has also resulted in greater need for community support. I'm blessed to be part of this organization and honored to play a small part in our community to ensure no child goes hungry when school's not in session.
This charity is really a great example of the Frisco community supporting each other. Locally founded, and focused on feeding students who face hunger, but also providing a lot of great service and volunteer opportunities for businesses, faith groups, youth groups and families. People get to serve together to collect food and/or money for student meals, or they get to go help pack the meals up or deliver them to schools. So I love that Frisco Fastpacs is doing good but also being very visible in the community, and letting volunteers be hands-on to help others in a meaningful way.
Through the years, we have watched this wonderful non-profit grow and faithfully serve our community! Volunteering for the organization has been a blessing for our family, too!
I love Frisco Fastpacs! First of all, I think their mission is great. Secondly, they are wonderful to volunteer with. I've really enjoyed packing food bags and also handing out food bags during covid. My daughter has received volunteer hours for making encouraging cards to be placed in the bags. It such a great way to include our children in the mission. I've worked with a lot of non-profits, and this one is definitely tops!
I've had the great pleasure of working with Frisco Fastpacs to deliver meals to families in need, ensuring that students are feed and physically ready to learn at school. The volunteer experience they have curated is top notch with high impact in the local community. Highly recommend this charity as a place to send your time, talents, and donor dollars!
