This team has been so supportive of SPCSHS! They have donated items when needed, volunteered time, and served our school community consistently!!

After the Hurricanes hit, we lost a few of our precious schools due to damage. Most, if not all, of the kids lost everything from classroom supplies, clothing, food, and more. I reached out to FUELS to help me navigate a fundraiser for our beloved schools and they stepped up big time. We were able to raise substantial funds and FUELS was able to provide uniforms, books, supplies, care closet items and even helped teachers rebuild their classrooms after losing everything they had collected over the years. The devastation was immense, but when FUELS got involved and decided to help these teachers and students, they were able to give back some normalcy after such a tragic event. I will forever support this non-profit. The love and dedication to their cause is above all else.

Following hurricane Helene, I saw firsthand the impact FUELS has made locally. From restocking classroom libraries that were washed away, to providing essential Care Closet items for displaced students, Melissa and the team at FUELS stepped in when the local community was inundated with requests. Led by former educators, with a Board full of student advocates, they truly understand teacher and student needs.

I heard about the non-profit through mutual friends and as a mom who has seen teachers invest time and their own resources into their classrooms and students, I felt strongly that this movement and dream were in line with my personal desires to help and be involved. While I am only a frequent donor, I have seen this non-profit touch teachers hearts and bless our youth, more than anything. The education system is a hard ship to navigate in that of itself but our educators adding their own money to help our next generation be up to speed with the resources to gain knowledge is another ship teachers have to navigate personally to a fault. I love this non-profit and it has made meaningful impacts time and time again and will continue to do so for many years to come. Thank you FUELS!

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to FUELS, the Florida non-profit organization, for their incredible support of the STEM program at Bexley Elementary School. Their involvement has made a lasting impact on our 3rd-grade students, providing them with engaging, hands-on learning experiences that sparked curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.

Thanks to FUELS, our students had access to exciting STEM activities and resources that enriched our curriculum and brought science and technology to life in the classroom. It was inspiring to see their eyes light up during experiments and projects that encouraged teamwork and innovation.

FUELS' commitment to supporting early education and STEM learning is truly commendable. Their contribution helped make our program more dynamic and memorable, and we are deeply grateful for their partnership.

Thanks to FUELS, I was able to attend a conference that enhanced my understanding of twice-exceptional learners and improved my teaching practices. Their generous support directly impacted my daily interactions with scholars.

FUEL is such an amazing organization! My school (in Maderia Beach) was severely damaged during Hurricane Helene. So much so that it has been closed for the last 6 months and we have been at a temporary location while repairs were being made. I lost everything in my classroom. EVERYTHING! We are in the process of moving back and setting up our new classrooms at our home school this week. Melissa reached out to me and asked if I needed books for my classroom library. I said, “YES!” My classroom library was lost in the hurricane. She told me that Florida’s Unique Education Learning Support organization was having a book giveaway for teachers and gave me the info. I got 5 huge bags of books!! My classroom library is well stocked now! She also arranged for me to have the classroom mailboxes I needed! I will be forever grateful to Melissa and FUELS for all of their help in helping me rebuild my classroom. This is such a wonderful organization!

FUELS set up an opportunity for teachers to take free books for their classrooms, which is SO appreciated! After returning to the classroom I was in desperate need of getting books for my library, and FUELS allowed me to do so!

I am the Family and Community Liaison at my Elementary School. FUELS has been such a blessing for us. We do this Care Closet for the kids who are in need of things from time to time but do not want to just say it. Something as simple as a snack or a change of clothes to a toiletry for a child that is in need puts a huge smile on their face and to some just a big relief.
One child that just doesn't get clean clothes often and gets to wear something fresh and doesn't have to worry that day just fills our hearts with so much joy and love. We are so grateful to have a support like FUELS to help the kids at our school.

FUELS grant helped our school find innovating ways to engage and communicate with our virtual students all over the state of Florida. We appreciate the care and concern this organization has shown not only our students, but those across the country.

FUELS is a true blessing for any school or teacher. My students were afforded the opportunity to receive math supplies, such as calculators, paper, and pencils, that they other wise would never have received. My students felt valued and loved.

I went to some trainings over the summer because I knew one of the presenters. Never in a million years was I prepared for the support I would get from F.U.E.L.S. They helped provide supplies to get my classroom ready for a great school year! I provide reading and math support for student who have an individual education plan.

Florida's Unique Education Learning Support (F.U.E.L.S.) offers the community valuable resources that might not otherwise be accessible for both teachers and kids. F.U.E.L.S. provides teachers with sensory support resources that help meet the needs of neurodivergent kids and supplies personal and learning support for kids that are underserved with more extensive needs.

As an educational professional that has partnered with F.U.E.L.S. to provide professional learning for teachers, their mission is to give back to teachers , value them as integral members of our community, and support the development and basic needs of all kids as they grow as learners.

I am beyond grateful for the incredible support provided by FUELS. Their generous fulfillment of our Amazon wish list for Hollins' High School clothing and school supply closet will make a profound impact on our students and their families.

From the beginning, Melissa at FUELS showed exceptional dedication and kindness. Their willingness to step in and provide exactly what we needed ensured that our students would have access to essential clothing/hygiene and supplies, allowing them to focus on their education without the added stress of lacking basic necessities.

Florida Unique Education Learning Support (FUELS) is simply AMAZING!! My non-profit utilizes certified teachers to deliver academic support to underserved students during out-of-school time. Our goal is to help close the achievement gap in our community and it's working. Our teachers are super-dedicated and were frequently spending their own limited discretionary funds to buy supplies that they believed were needed for their classrooms (from small things like pencils and sharpeners to larger items like inspirational posters) both within our program AND in their classrooms at District schools. When we introduced our teachers to FUELS, they were truly overjoyed. They could not believe this group of incredible folks would provide the supplies they needed without cost. The supplies made a beautiful impact on our classrooms and made both teachers and children feel empowered and special. MANY THANKS to the folks at FUELS!!

Melissa and her team along with the Shirley Proctor Puller Foundation Master Kids Program truly provide much needed support to our children - when I visited the school I saw all the kids completely involved and interacting and enjoying learning! The impact to our community is tremendous!

After almost 20 years in education, I left the classroom 5 years ago. During that time we welcomed the arrival of our youngest child, and to make room, all of my teacher things had to go. This past year was called back to teaching, as some of us are. I was already nervous because I knew I couldn’t be the teacher I used to be now that I am a mother. Then came the money concerns. Coming into a new classroom in a new school with none of my things was overwhelming. Then I learned about FUELS. I filled out a request for funding form, and to my surprise I had most of my wishlist filled for my beginning of the year materials! I was beyond excited and relieved. THEN, I got two (behavior) students transferred into my class from another classroom, and was able to fill out an emergency assistance form for fidgets, sensory items, alternative seating, weighted vests, chew necklaces, and a weighted lap blanket. It completely saved my sanity. ALL free and from this amazing non profit company run by the most amazing, caring advocate for public education, Melissa Ley.

FUELS is perhaps one of the most worthwhile nonprofit organizations I’ve ever seen. Funding schools who educate underprivileged students in high needs areas is so important for the future of our country. Teachers with high needs students are so overwhelmed. Providing teachers with the necessary tools for our students to be successful is perhaps one of the most important things we can do to make the teachers job more effective in the classroom

My classroom was very fortunate to be a recipient of a FUELS grant. As a special education teacher, I try to meet the diverse needs of my students. However, meeting unique learning styles often requires making purchases out of personal funds. FUELS is focused on supporting teachers to meet the needs of their students. They are an amazing organization with generous supporters! I am so thankful and appreciative of their organization and their commitment to supporting students and teachers.

This non-profit is AMAZING! I am a social worker at a Title I school. Our attendance has suffered greatly since the pandemic. This organization funded my attendance incentives last year and provided snacks for kids this school year. They are so kind and easy to work with. We greatly appreciate their support and partnership with our school!

Such an amazing program. FUELS helped me with creating room transformations for my reading launches! So thankful for FUELS!

I am an ESE Educator teaching children with Special Needs in an Access Points curriculum based classroom. Our classroom was one of the first recipients from the FUELS Program! We received an Epson Color Printer, Educational Games, Kinetic Sand and two Slant Boards from this wonderful nonprofit! Thank you FUELS!

I cannot tell you how fortunate I am to have been chosen for this opportunity! This organization made it possible for me to obtain flexible seating for my students along with helping with other classroom essentials for the grades that I teach! This was such an easy process, even when I made the mistake, Mrs. Ley sprung into action, once I notified her of my mistake, and was able to help correct it! FUELS made it possible for me to obtain items that I would not have been able to otherwise! This is an amazing organization! I do not know where I would be at this point without their help!

I volunteered with this nonprofit organization and they work wonders! They help teachers with their classroom and student needs. Teachers submit their relevant wishlists during the open windows and FUELS does their best to help provide for them. They are prompt, helpful, and incredibly generous.
I love helping them and giving back to the educators.

Their mission is incredible, having experience as teachers in these fields changes the understanding of the impacts and outreach possible. Teachers the country over are overwhelmed and underpaid yet continue on this path simply out of passion. That passion is bolstered in the state of Florida by the excellent mission these amazing women take on.

As a public school teacher, this organization is absolutely everything. Most people are unaware of how much teachers spend on classroom items, supplies, snacks, and materials for ESE students. I have donated money to this cause because it is something I not only something I think is needed across our county, state, and country, but because I believe in founder, Melissa Ley. She has been in the classroom, she has homeschooled, she has been to our state and National capital to give educators of all types a voice. I have never seen anyone advocate for education the way Melissa does. Her passion and dedication are beyond admirable, and I’m so thankful for her vision.
