Mission: First Choice for Women is a compassionate, faith-based organization that offers free physical, mental, and spiritual support to empower individuals facing difficult relationship, pregnancy, and parenting decisions in the East Central Indiana Region. First Choice for Women seeks to achieve a community in which every individual is respected and every child is wanted, cared for, and nurtured.
Programs: Educational and support programs: Creating Positive Relationships provides state standard abstinence education curriculum and instruction in area public high school health classes in an effort to reduce teen pregnancy and the spread of sexually transmitted diseases. Client services provide options information, peer advocacy support, pregnancy testing, limited obstetric ultrasounds and assistance to expectant mothers, including parenting education and material support. Client base includes women, men, parents or guardians of newborns, infants and toddlers up to 3 and 1/2 years of age.
