When Family Unification first helped me, I was excited about getting the help. It has been a good help having Linda as my therapist. I was able to talk and see things more clear. The program is wonderful, and I myself . I can tell people I know there is help for them.

I have been working with children and their families for the past 10 years. I first learned about Family Unification in late 2010. I have made referrals to Family Unification for mentors for some of the children I work with. Linda takes the time to meet the child and get to know them in order for a good match to take place. This shows how genuinely caring she is and that she has the child's best interest at heart. The relationships that foster children have are very important and they can use all the support they can get, especially in times when they are separated from their families. The relationships that these children form with mentors are much more meaningful than the ones they have with us "professionals," and they feel much more comfortable in being able to communicate with them.

Linda Thompson provided services, classes, and groups to the residents in our group homes. The residents are young girls ages 13-18 who have multiple barriers to success including addiction, behavior issues, and limited to no familial support. Anger, hurt, resentment is usual for these girls. Linda was able to break through their barriers and protective methods to help them get to the heart of issues quickly and without feeling threatened. Many of our girls requested one on one time with Linda as they felt she could relate and that she cared.

Linda was also extremely responsive to our agency when a need was identified. She responded to requests quickly, professionally, and with utmost in care. Her communication was always timely and spot-on. She understood the underlying need and on numerous occasions made valuable recommendations for changes in order to help us reach our goals even if it meant reducing her level of involvement. Her heart and goals are always with the client first and foremost.

I've observed Linda Thompson's career since grad school in marriage and family counseling. She has had experience in every part of her field. I've watched her grow in strength, determination and wisdom as a steady force of knowledge and compassion for her clients going through great pain and turmoil. She has grown from concern for clients where some services were not available, to the idea of creating a nonprofit organization to provide those services, to the present reality of Family Unification Support Services. Her work has been a blessing to so many people, and I am proud to have been able to contribute financially to this work.

Linda has created something amazing when there’s a balance of flavors and spices and nothing is sticking out, nothing is too overpowering or too ‘blah.’ That applies to the way she founded her agency. Everything has to be beautifully harmonious. That applies to the services she provide to the community as well — it’s about harmony in terms of people working together. Linda is a blessing to Maricopa County.

Family Unification Support Services is a wonderful program. One of the many services they provide is the mentor program. This program helps guide troubled youth, helps them to make good decisions in life and provides them with the support they need to transition into their new families or to independently live on their own. Linda Thompson's tireless efforts to support these children is admirable, she is a deeply caring individual and has the education, experience and knowledge to make her program a huge success.

Family Unification Support Services is an organization which helps children and their familes come together. It takes a special person to use the talents that God has given them to help the families in need. I feel that person is Linda Thompson. She is loving, caring, and compasionate. She helps put her clients at ease when they come in for classes or couseling sessions. I have observed parenting classes that have been given to help the parents learn how to work with their children. We need more organizations like Family Unification Support Services and people like Linda to help children and their families. Go to Family Unification Support Services and check out the website to see all of the services they provide.

Family Unification Support Services does an excellent job in helping transition children from difficult backgriunds and situations back in to their families. As a current mentor of a 16 year old in the mentor program, I have found it allows the kids to reach out to someone who is not a clinician or evaluator and discuss issues openly without being judged or diagnosed. Linda's efforts have really found a way to help bridge the needs that are not typically financially covered and she is an amazing role model.

Linda has been such a help with me as a parent being able to keep my sanity. We laugh and talk like old friends and she really helps with the issues of the time. I'm especially impressed with how she seems to keep us in mind throughout the week. When she comes the next week she has followed through with what she said the week before. The children warm up to her quickly and she never pressures anyone. I love that she/s willing to give her time to help my family. Thanks Linda. :)

Client: When I started to come to see Linda I had a lot of emotional issues that I have been carrying inside with me. After speaking with Linda I felt like a Giant weight was taken off my shoulders. Ever Time after that is was just talking to someone that would listen to me and not pass judgement on me. She gives me positive feedback and also helps me find different ways to deal with the stress and issues that I have come up in my life. Just knowing that there is someone out there that is willing to listen to me and let me get out about 20 some years of built up anger and fustration feels so nice and calming. But I also like that when I brought my kids in to see her she focused on us as a family and made every feel at ease with her because of the interaction that she was having with us all. She also is understanding to the needs of all of them and the different ways they have in getting their feelings out. I know that there is still a process that my family has to go threw to make us stronger but I have great faith that Linda will be a strong support in seeing up meet our goals and become a strong family that we are looking to become.
