Mission: Eureka's mission is to increase the capacity of executive directors of community-based organizations to improve the lives of children, youth and families living in poverty. Eureka empowers leaders of nonprofit organizations by providing them with fellowships that enable opportunities for peer-to-peer learning, exposing them to effective methods of practice around the country, and creating forums for learning exchange.
Programs: Eureka Communities offers a Fellowship to Executive Directors and CEOs of 501(c)(3)s that serve children, youth and families living in poverty.
Our application is now available on-line. Selection of Fellows is based on the clear articulation of learning goals, dedication to the organization and community served, and commitment to the Fellowship for the duration of one year.
The Eureka Fellows pariticipate in monthly forums, a week-long study trip, peer networking, leadership training, and teambuilding.
For the study trips, Eureka Communities matches Fellows with mentor organizations nationally recognized for their excellence in areas like fundraising, board-building, leadership and staff motivation, scaling of programs and services, and financial management.
Fellows share their learning with their class, and together bring new ideas and programs back to their communities.
