I recently learned about ETM-LA and volunteered with them for the first time on December 6, 2024 at their annual gala fundraiser. I deeply respect every single person who represented ETM-LA that night. Their staff and volunteers were all very kind, efficient and professional. They have gathered an amazing team! I have spent the last few decades volunteering with several non-profit organizations, including large organizations, scouting, schools and church. It is rare to find such professionalism and comradery. The attendees were treated to a first rate evening and clearly enjoyed a delicious meal and delightful program, which was professionally presented.
I've had a wonderful time volunteering with the team. Everyone is friendly, organized and great to work with.
This organization is doing something special. I’ve accompanied their concerts on the piano, and seeing the students light up when they perform is so rewarding. I can see the impact firsthand on the students and school community, and I’m grateful for how I’ve been able to be a part of it.
My name is Jose Santiago and I’ve been with ETM-LA for more than a decade. In that decade, I’ve been included in so many amazing opportunities that I heavily believe I wouldn’t have gotten it anywhere else in the LA area. In the beginning, I didn’t know much about music or even had a chance to play an instrument. With ETM-LA, I was introduced to music, performing arts and everything in between with thanks to the many people I’ve had the chance to meet. I honestly wouldn’t know where in life I would be without music, performing arts or otherwise without the amazing contributions I’ve been involved with ETM-LA. They truly make a difference for many children and people around the LA area Hopefully they can expand to even more locations to make their mission more realized!
ETM-LA's mission to bring music education to schools that don't have it resonates with me because I played an instrument in school and that experience gave me so many life skills that I still use today. I am always happy to help this organization because I feel my time and work are so appreciated.
The ETM-LA team is passionately dedicated to their mission of ensuring accessible music education for all children, and their work never fails to have an impact. In my own elementary years, I was blessed with the opportunity of music education through a band program, as well as violin and ukulele lessons provided during school hours. ETM-LA were the ones pushing so hard to hire those music teachers and offer such classes, and without that wonderful opportunity, I would have never found the love of music playing that I have today. The introduction to ukulele was my first true step towards playing an instrument. I practiced my hardest every day, both inside the classroom and at home—the class revealed an interest of mine I had no idea existed. Within these music classes, we were also encouraged to perform at the end of the year, and I gave my best show every time. I additionally performed in afterschool sessions for parents and other students. Without those fundamental musical experiences, I would have never learned such a valuable emotional outlet and cognitive skill. Thanks to ETM-LA's consistent commitment to keeping music education in schools, I have continued my music education and since graduated onto guitar and piano, writing my own songs, playing with loved ones, and feeling comfortable and proud sharing my passion with others. ETM-LA's accomplishments are clear in the community, and I am ecstatic to see how their meaningful progress will grow and continue to nourish children's minds.
ETM-LA's mission is an important on, as so many schools cut their arts funding. Having seen their classroom instruction first hand, I was impressed by the skill and dedication of the teacher. Their methodology for engagin children with music is one that really works.
I've seen an incredible amount of energy and effort being put into the growth and education of the youth through music at ETM-LA. Everyone is so knowledgeable and dependable on the field they work at and it's such a joy to see children's lives being changed every day by the power of music and great pedagogy. I'm so appreciative and grateful of organizations like this, that take every moment to focus on their mission and change the world for the better. Thank you ETM-LA.
I had ETM-LA in elementary school. The instruction was amazing and hands on. I thank ETM-LA for starting my life-long journey into the arts.
I thought that the way they helped children whom learned in low funded schools was always refreshing. To give them the chance to be able to learn music and giving them the instruments and materials they needed to be able to give them a bright future ahead of them, or even giving them the possibility to pursue or find their own special spark.
ETM-LA brings much needed resources to an area that has unfortunately been neglected in recent years--music!! Young students are given the opportunity to learn and thrive through exposure to music. ETM-LA is crucial in giving students that opportunity.
Volunteering with ETM-LA has been amazing! As a high school student volunteer, it's been an insightful learning and collaborative experience. The team is dedicated to helping young students share their voices through music. They are flexible with hours, virtual and in-person opportunities.
ETMLA is an incredible non-profit. The students of Los Angeles are so lucky to have this incredible organization bringing music education to under resourced schools. Music does so much to support our youth in every way and thanks to ETMLA, more students have access.
ETM-LA is an amazing organization run by an incredible group of people! As an education nonprofit org ourselves, we strive to seek out the best people doing the best work in California education and ETM-LA stands out among them - they are Rockstars! We look forward to our continued partnership in bringing high-quality programming and opportunities to more kids, and helping them develop essential social emotional learning skills through creative experiences.
Having witnessed several ETM-LA events, it is so evident that this organization cares so deeply for the youth of LA County. When I see the kids perform and feel free in music, it makes my hear soar. ETM-LA is a serious impact for change in LA County. Every school needs music and ETM-LA ensures that needle keeps moving forward.
ETM-LA is an incredible organization that puts students and communities first. Since starting here, I have seen every employee's dedication to furthering ETM-LA's mission to restore music as a core subject in schools. The organization is transparent in its operations and adapts/innovates to ensure those being served are receiving the highest quality services. The model is sustainable and has a track record of success with schools hiring on full-time music teachers and being able to sustain their music programs. Most importantly, I have seen first hand the joy, confidence, and sense of achievement that music education brings to students at ETM-LA partner schools.
ETMLA is incredible! I’ve attended multiple ETMLA student events in Compton and the Valley; the impact this organization has on under-resourced schools, students and their families is invaluable!! The staff are kind, knowledgeable and some of the hardest-working people I’ve met!
ETM-LA has always amazed me with their commitment to their mission. All the teachers have a passion for music and to bring the joy of music to their students. Every member of ETM-LA reach out to teachers if there is anything else they need to enrich the music experience for each student.
Working with ETM-LA has been a truly transformative and motivating experience for me. The entire staff at ETM-LA is not only exceptionally talented and dedicated but also deeply passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of every child they serve. Learning from their expertise and guidance has not only improved my skills but has also enriched my own life, much like the power of music itself.
Since joining ETM-LA in September of 2022, I've grown in all aspects of my teaching. I receive individual and group support and training from my Instructional Supervisor and well rounded professional development is available throughout the academic year and summer. I recommend becoming a teacher with ETM-LA, you will be supported in every way.
As an intern, my experience with ETM-LA has been nothing but great. They listen to my ideas and the things I have to say and provide good mentorship and tips for my career path, and as a musician. Every team member shows they care about providing great music education to the youth and overall making music classes more accessible.
With experience in different educational roles and settings for over a decade, I found ETM-LA to be incomparable with their esteemed accomplishments. ETM-LA provides well-rounded, comprehensive music education to students throughout LA County as well as extensive professional development and support to their music educators. ETM-LA is an organization that leads with the heart and is fueled by passion to fulfill such an incredible mission.
As a music teacher for ETM-LA, I am truly amazed by the positive impact it has had on our public schools. Their unwavering commitment to their mission provides staff with an incredible network of veteran music teachers and professional development opportunities, ensuring the best musical education is provided to students. Thanks to their dedication, I'm able to watch my students academically thrive and develop a deep passion for music, and I couldn't be more grateful for their ongoing support.
ETM-LA has every child at the heart of their mission. They not only help to enrich the lives of communities all throughout Los Angeles, but also endless support and professional development for their teachers to maintain confidence as they provide quality music education.
ETM-LA is such a great organization! The work they do with students in the LA area is really life changing and the joy it brings the students is the best!
The work this organization does is so inspiring! I helped with an event in 2019 and the teachers and staff were not only very welcoming, but their passion for the kids was undeniable. Their love for music and dedication to gifting children with music was evident. I am so proud to champion ETM-LA!
ETM-LA is an amazing nonprofit providing music education for economically disadvantaged students who would otherwise go without music in their lives. This is my 2nd year teaching with ETM-LA. While I have taught music for many years, these past 2 years with ETM have been a delight! The support for teachers is incredible with outstanding professional development, excellent educational materials, and insightful observational feedback from other experts in my field. I also get to interact with other music educators, sharing ideas and tips, on a monthly basis. Together we study important issues in education including: social emotional learning, culturally relevant teaching, and child-centered approaches. This has made teaching a daily enjoyment, and I know it is giving my students the chance to find the joy of music in their lives, while promoting belief in their own abilities and cultures.
Education Through Music - Los Angeles. is an integral part of our school community. Our children look forward to our general music class and string instruments. Digital music is another favorite for our children. The partnership engages scholars, makes them excited about coming to school and develops raw talent in our community. As a school principal I am proud and thankful to have ETM-LA provide music instruction to our Title I school. Together we are uplifting our community and making a lasting impact in the lives of children.
Education Through Music-LA is doing great work! This is an organization that genuinely, whole-heartedly believes in providing children with accessible, quality music education. Their push for diversity and cultural awareness in the arts is actively building the foundation to the next generation of creative minds.
ETMLA has an incredible mission and determination to make music available for every child. As a teacher I see the extremely positive impact of the program on my students every day. My students always tell me they can't wait to come to music class. I am constantly seeing the progress and growth of the students at each school because of this amazing program. Their ability to sing, move, solve, create is impressive but what is most beautiful is the connections they make with one another through these activities and experiences.
ETM-LA is a leader in music education. They value the core principal that every child should have access to music education. ETM-LA accomplishes this in several ways. 1) They maintain strong partnerships with principals, superintendents, and various corporate sponsors in LA County. 2) They recruit and hire music educators from all over the country with a breadth of teaching experience. 3) Finally, ETM-LA is reflective at the end of each academic year on what measures to take that will improve the program. Founded 17 years ago, ETM-LA remains a leader in music education, innovation, and being difference makers in the lives of thousands of children.
Education Through Music-Los Angeles is a wonderful program that ensures the highest quality music education is provided to students in a consistent and equitable manner. Their professionalism, heart for the community, and focus on strengthening the instructional practice of teachers is top notch. Their belief in providing students the necessary foundation through current and relevant pedagogy practices is something aligned with my own personal belief. Music is respected and treated as the core academic subject that it is amongst partners, families, and school communities.
ETM-LA mission is towards providing music teacher to schools that need it and it is clear that is what they're achieving. I have had the great opportunity to intern at ETM-LA and experience first hand how this organization helps students in many schools improve their student's experience and education through music. The students are not the only one's that benefit from this nonprofit, there is plenty of opportunities that college level music students can use as a gateway into the music education world. ETM-LA is welcoming to new music teachers and experienced teacher, they are willing to help those who wish to grow as a music educator. I believe ETM-LA is a nonprofit that definitely should receive more support and will prove that their mission is beneficial to music teachers and students.
ETM-LA is excellent because every single one of their members is caring, creative, honest and fiercely committed to providing quality music education to as many children as possible. Their passion is undeniable, their drive is unparalleled, and their affect on the lives of the students they serve is long lasting and life changing.
ETM-LA gave me the opportunity to further express myself on a larger platform through my voice. I'm so thankful to have been part of the, "Your Song Saved My Life" campaign. This organization has impacted my life greatly.
As a Music Teacher and Instructional Supervisor for ETMLA, I can wholeheartedly say that this is the most fulfilling job I have ever had. Every member of this team is dedicated and passionate about carrying out the ETM mission. I marvel at the incredible, meaningful impacts this program delivers to so many each day.
ETM-LA has been THE BEST volunteer experience that I have had. ETM-LA is a focused, dedicated, and passionate organization whose work has had clear impact on the communities it reaches. Especially in the isolation of the past year, ETM-LA has done important work of connecting with students and offering them an outlet for creativity. From volunteering in their office, to their galas, to school concerts, and board meetings - ETM-LA has offered many exciting opportunities for volunteers and has shown in each area of their work that they are committed to their mission and are trustworthy with their resources. Everything they do is filled with warmth and thoughtfulness. I highly, highly recommend involvement with this organization.

Education Through Music Los Angeles is an incredible organization. Their vision is clear and transparent, and executed with excellence and love for all involved. They have pioneered music programs across the city and continue to expand. They bring joy to the students they reach, and volunteers always feel like we are making a true difference. I have made such good friends through ETM-LA and I know it's because of the welcoming and mission-oriented environment they have built. There are so many ways to get involved and the staff has a knack for knowing and growing their volunteers strengths. Although I am volunteering my time and energy, I always always feel like I am gaining so much in my experiences with ETM-LA.
In the past few years joining the ETM-LA journey, I have taken part in enhancing the music education of countless schools throughout LA and even beyond - from distributing supplies and instruments to running arts events and even concerts. ETM-LA and their wonderful staff have truly inspired me to make giving back to the artistic community a life-long commitment.
Everyone at ETMLA genuinely cares about providing excellent musical opportunities, and even more importantly, the communities that they serve. As a volunteer, I was lucky to help out through both instrument care and virtual classes. This organization's inspiration is infectious, and I recommend it with all my heart!
ETM-LA has been a great place to volunteer at not only for the environment, but also because you know the work you do is for a great reason. All projects that I have been able to participate are usually about promoting music and providing tools for students as well as teachers. Victoria has an awesome team and they are nothing but amazing. I hope to see more good things coming from this organization :)
I had the pleasure of interning with Education Through Music - Los Angeles this past summer and learning more about the incredible work they are doing in the community to give students access to music education. The entire ETM-LA team is so dedicated to their music teachers and students, and they go above and beyond to make each music teacher, student, and volunteer feel celebrated. It has been such a joy to be a part of this amazing nonprofit!
I have been a music educator for the past 40 years. As an instrumental specialist with the Los Angeles Unified School District for 38 years and currently a music and secondary education instructor at CA State Univ. Northridge, I have spent my life supporting music education. When I retired from LAUSD, I knew that it was not going to be the end of my involvement in providing music education to students. When ETMLA asked me to serve on their Board of Directors, before I would commit my name and time to the organization I did my research. I quickly found that ETMLA was in complete alignment with my educational ideals and philosophy. All students deserve sequential, comprehensive, standards based music instruction, especially our under-served communities. ETMLA has dedicated their expertise and resources to serve populations that might not have the opportunity to participate in instrumental and vocal programs. I am proud to have my name associated with an organization that believes in the power of music. The organization continues to develop and grow and has influenced the lives of over 15,000 students with high quality music education programs. BRAVO ETMLA!!
I have worked with non-profit organizations for more than 20 years; and ETM-LA has exceed my expectations: professionalism, organization, out reach efforts, community worked achieved, scope of services and passion to fulfill its mission.
As an intern with the ETM-LA team it is clear as day that each and every individual on the team is genuinely passionate about providing quality music education to students. Working with this organization I was supported and heard throughout my entire time. It is life-changing for both volunteers and students who work with ETM-LA.
The staff and volunteers at ETM-LA are the most caring and passionate people I've had the pleasure to work alongside. I truly felt their energy and devotion to this cause, and I believe they deserve every opportunity to continue to make a difference in communities around Los Angeles. I'm very fortunate to have had the privilege to have volunteered with these group of people and to have learned from them.
Music has always been an important part of my life, and I think offering music in school is just as crucial as any academic subject. The time I spent learning music in school as a child (chorus and cello) taught me very important skills that carried through to adulthood like responsibility, collaboration and time management. Not to mention that I can still sing every word of a song I learned for chorus in 4th grade! In a time where funding for the arts is being cut drastically, organizations like ETM-LA are essential for our children! I was made aware of the organization a few years ago, but because I do not live in LA I have not been able to volunteer (something I am very passionate about doing for organizations I believe in). I was however able to attend a virtual event recently held, and I loved every minute of it! The passion for music that resonated from the children was so palpable it brought me to tears. Bravo to ETM-LA for all that you do! You mission is so, so important!!
Education Through Music- Los Angeles (ETM-LA) has single handily changes the culture of my school site. Before partnering with ETM-LA, my school site, Oak Street School, had not Arts program. Now every single student in our school receives a professional comprehensive music education program. Attendance has improved when our students have music classes. My students, staff, and parents love and appreciate ETM-LA, and so do I.

Interning at the ETM-LA office was an amazing experience! It's clear to anyone who interacts with the organization that it's a team full of light, laughter, and drive. Their passion for their work is contagious. Not only do they love what they do, but they live it. Each member of the team is a walking example of the positive impact of music education, and their dedication to providing children with the same opportunity is inspiring.
Education Through Music-Los Angeles does extraordinary work bringing sequential music education as part of the core curriculum to disadvantaged students in over 40 schools in LA. Through the dedication, professionalism and passion of ETM-LA’s exceptional team, led by Executive Director, Victoria Lanier, and the integral support of its partners and donors, ETM-LA has a profound and measurable impact on the quality of lives of children, their families and communities that it serves.
My son has never been so happy in his life ETMLA has been a blessing to his life. Music has increased his self esteem and improved his confidence. The opportunities that my son got through ETMLA exceeded our expectations as parents. Jerry got to sing for hundreds of people throughout his elementary years. He became school 5th grade president and inspired many students to also join music. ETMLA is always in our hearts, we love everyone that works In this organization and people that donate as well.
ETMLA is doing incredible work for kids all over the Los Angeles area. It's amazing to see the work they continue to do during this pandemic. They haven't missed a beat with providing lessons to their students during this time that music can really be a savior to these kids who can't be in the classroom and are stuck at home with little structure. ETMLA is a vital part of the school system in Los Angeles and I am proud to serve on the board.
I am a great supporter of the arts programs in public education; after all, they put the heART into learning. I was in my middle school and high school orchestra and loved every minute of it. I would have joined the orchestra in elementary, but my family couldn't afford the instrument rental fees. When I first heard about ETMLA, I felt moved and proud that such a program existed for the kids in my community. ETMLA offers an incredible gift to the children of Los Angeles; not only do they offer an escape from every day life, but they give the kids an opportunity to gain character building talents/tools. Whenever I volunteer at ETMLA, I feel that 100% of their efforts and resources go to help the kids in the arts programs. Everyone is so kind, energetic, and knowledgeable. I am proud to call myself a volunteer.
ETM-LA has been an incredible partner in expanding our arts program. The teacher they assigned to our school is exceptional and the administrative staff have been incredibly supportive.
One of my favorite things to do on a tough day is pass by the music classroom and listen to our students amazing voices.
By far, one of the best investments we have made!
Education Through Music is a program that reaches many students in the Los Angeles Area who would otherwise not have an opportunity to learn and express themselves through music. Not only are students taught what music is and how we can use music for expression, but the teacher at our school inspired students to seek out additional music opportunities by taking private instrument lessons. Students look forward to "Music Day." Students know something exciting is going to happen. To have such a high caliber multi-instrumentalist musician-teacher coming to our school has been a rewarding experience for both teachers and students.
ETM-LA has an extraordinary staff of music teachers who bring the performing arts to life for our elementary students. This organization is efficiently and effectively run, by musicians who are driven by their mission to reach out to our neediest kids.
This is a one-of-a-kind organization dedicated to keeping quality music education in local, disadvantaged schools as a right for every student. It is truly inspiring to see the dedication of their music teachers, staff, volunteers, board, parents, and educators who work with them on a daily basis. The transformation and positive impact experienced by the school and entire community is palpable and life-changing.
I went to public elementary and middle school in update New York in the 1960s and was fortunate to be exposed to music education as part of the core curriculum for arts. I learned early on the benefits of this type of education. Field trips included visits to the symphony, which made a huge impression on me and is where my love of classical music began. I exposed my children to all types of music at home when they were growing up, since they did not have the same opportunities I did at school. I'm proud to say that now two of my daughters work and/or volunteer with music associated organizations. Music plays such an important part in our lives. The work done by ETM-LA is important in that it brings exposure to music to those that might not otherwise get that opportunity. This is a wonderful organization. Please give it your support.
My experience working with ETM-LA has been eyeopening and inspiring. Every person on the staff is incredibly talented and hardworking, and cares very deeply about making a difference for every child. Being able to learn from their expertise on how best to serve students has made my life better - just like how Music makes my life better!
Outstanding organization dedicated to providing opportunities for under served youth and schools in the Los Angeles area with a quality music education experience. This organization now only works to address the immediate educational, emotional and social needs of children but also address the greater issue of equity in music education for all children but providing resources for school administrators to begin to make their programs self-sustaining.
I have never personally come cross a charity that puts so much soul and passion into their work. What ETM-LA is doing is molding the future to be a truly better place. Children who would otherwise have no access to music education, are now able to learn to play music (with outstanding instructors and instruments they wouldn't otherwise have) and become well-rounded individuals. Music makes kids better students and, in turn, gives them a better future. I'm rooting for ETM-LA!!
ETMLA is a wonderful non-profit that is dedicated to providing music education to children in underserved schools throughout LA county. The ETM-LA administration and teaching staff are passionate about music education and sharing their love of music with the children of LA. I've had the opportunity to sit in on music classes and attend end of year band concerts and I've seen how excited the children are to perform what they've learned. ETM-LA's work is truly inspiring!
ETM-LA is a transformative organization that provides quality music education in schools where performing arts programs have been eliminated due to budget cuts. As a volunteer at the organization for about three years, I have witnessed the significant growth and impact on early childhood development, as young children emerge into young artists. As Gerald Ford once said, "Music education opens doors that help children pass from school into the world around them a world of work, culture, intellectual activity, and human involvement. The future of our nation depends on providing our children with a complete education that includes music. "
I enjoy working for ETM-LA! It really hits home with me by sharing the same ethical music education values. With that, I am privileged to mentor and support music teachers in developing long term professional growth plans for them. Along with helping to strengthen each teacher's pedagogy, as well as assisting them to effectively address daily teaching challenges. In addition to guiding music teachers in reflecting on their performance, setting professional goals, overcoming challenges and celebrating successes. The best of it all, is that I get to directly and indirectly make a positive difference through ETM-LA in the music education of children :)
ETM-LA may be a small nonprofit, but the difference they make in the lives of children, families, and communities is enormous. What's more, ETM-LA puts in the work to ensure their music programs are of the highest quality so that even the most disadvantaged have the best music education possible.
Their staff and their volunteers are joyful and a true delight to be around, making this nonprofit truly one of the best.
The mission of Education Through Music-Los Angeles is so vital, and it is a privilege to be able to support this organization. Studying and performing music has had the greatest positive impact on me personally from my school years onwards, so knowing that I am helping to make it possible for children to have music education who otherwise would not is incredibly rewarding and motivating. The continuing growth of ETM-LA is a testament to their dedication, perseverance, and passion.
I've been volunteering with ETM-LA since February 2017. The staff is very close knit and work together with great focus. Each team member has been extremely friendly and communicative of their appreciation to me as a volunteer. The ongoing experience I've had as a classroom/teacher assistant has also been inspiring. It's incredible to witness and participate in the students' enthusiasm and growth as up and coming musicians.
ETMLA does incredible work throughout its partner schools in Los Angeles. The passion their hand-trained music teacher's have for music and educating, their dedicated and long-standing volunteer base, and the impact they have on the 15,000 students they serve make ETMLA a truly outstanding non-profit.
I am a member of the board of directors of ETM-LA. The organization is impressive in many ways. It is a results-oriented program, with talented, committed, and passionate members throughout, clearly dedicated to the success of the mission. I continue to be inspired by the ETM-LA team and the work that they do, and am privileged to have the opportunity to be involved.
This Non-profit has helped our son (10) develop more love, skills, and confidence in Music. Joshua has now mastered reading music of very complex compositions at such a young age. Joshua's participation in the Chorus choir was such a great privilege as he managed to realize his full potential as a young child in the field of the arts. Also meeting with other fellow kids with various talents in Music, it became an eye opener for him that much more can be learned at a very young age.
I have been able to experience what music can impact on a child's life. It brings them confidence, not to give up and improve every day, I am very happy that my son can be part of such a wonderful opportunity.
Castelar has been in partnership with ETM for over 12 years. Their teachers are top notch, and no student is left out. ETM fills a void that is no longer provided by our school district. Our students enjoy coming to school to learn music. You can always see the excitement on our students faces when they see one of the music teacher. We consider our ETM music teacher part of our Castelar family. They are always included in all of our activities outside of the classroom. ETM services are so valuable that all our fund raising every year is to pay for this program.
I’ve met almost every staff member, from the office to the teachers in the schools, and everyone in the organization is devoted to sharing the gift of music education to those kids and communities who might not otherwise have access. When a student in Kindergarten can articulate how music makes their life better, just as well as a student in the 4th grade, that’s ETM-LA’s mission in action!
My daughter took up violin lessons last summer and thanks to Victoria and Mr Long, shes come a long way in a short period of time. Thank you for everything you do for Mariana and all the ETM students!!!!
ETM-LA is a prominent organization making a difference in children's lives early on. They are an essential part in supporting the development of learning, encouraging talent, and building confidence. I am proud to have joined the ETM-LA team as a volunteer, and truly look forward to continued support in any way possible.
- SO
ETM-LA is a great organization that truly inspires the entire educational and music community. Its commitment to providing children with the opportunity not only to learn (and love) music, but to develop math, reading, and social skills, is unparalleled and exemplary. I am so honored to be a part of this organization and believe wholeheartedly in its mission.
ETM-LA is an amazing organization. They bring inspiration to everyone involved in the group. As volunteers, you see kid's eyes light up with excitement when they learn something new, or perform in front of people. The kind of confidence and learning excitement that ETM-LA gives children will affect so many other aspects of their learning. Music is such an important component of education and learning that often gets left out. Education Through Music - LA is bringing that to the students who need it most and they are doing it in a way that is inspiring and fun.
I was delighted to learn about ETM-LA and their inspirational work with keeping music in children's lives through schools, so it was without hesitation that I joined their ranks of volunteers. I was incredibly fortunate to grow up at a time when music was offered regularly in my public schools. It's such a loss when children don't have an opportunity to experience music classes as a standard part of their educations. ETM-LA Executive Director Victoria Lanier has impressed me with her sincere passion and tireless efforts to make this an excellent organization. I am not surprised at the outpouring of support and continuing involvement in ETM-LA by so many professionals in the music industry.
Education Through Music - LA is a frontrunner in positive change in our broken education system here in the greater Los Angeles community. As a professional musician and former educator I can truly attest that this program not only provides underserved children with the highest quality music education, but more importantly enhances all aspects of these children's academic experience through its incredible comprehensive curriculum. This program's primary focus is to use the key fundamentals of music (rhythm, pitch, reading, mathematical divisions, emotional expression, historical context, sequencing, scientific principles of sound and physics, foreign languages, eye/hand coordination and motor skills, public presentation/performance skills, artistic expression ...to name a few) to enhance and support the students grasp on essential life skills and academics. In addition, this is not an after-school program. This program is part of the regular school day for every child! I have seen first hand the profound difference they have made in children's lives over the years and am proud to say I will continue to support the wonderful work they do in the lives of our children and our community!
ETM-LA brings inspiration and personal development for not only its students, but parents, co-workers and volunteers alike. ETM-LA has created an environment that is focused on people connecting and learning on a face to face basis. They take great care in providing resources and tools to people that would otherwise be forgotten about. ETM-LA helps to remind us that people providing information in an intelligent, caring, and nurturing way will always aid in developing future intelligent, caring, and nurturing mentors.
Education Through Music-Los Angeles is a non-profit that truly believes in the mission to bring music to every child in Los Angeles. Glad to be a part of this wonderful organization.
If you are passionate about music and would like to get involved in bringing first hand music education to the future generation; then I highly recommend volunteering and supporting ETM-LA. Victoria and her staffs commitment, passion and energy to bring music as a core curriculum to the inner city school community is truly unmatched. I've been a regular volunteer for the past 2 years and couldn't have been more proud to have served this organization.
This is a great charity, I have been working with them for a couple years now and the first thing I noticed is how dedicated and passionate the whole team is towards bringing music to every school. They are extremely hard-working and make all the events genuinely fun and exciting for all the kids who participate. Definitely a great non-profit!
This wonderful organization is child, education and music focused. They believe in providing high quality training for their teachers and the benefits are evident in the quality of programs that they provide. I was able to observe an elementary music class and was impressed with the children's enthusiasm and pride in the music they were learning and performing.
This is such an amazing organization! The people that work there are incredible. They are passionate, dedicated, sincere and so appreciative of anyone and everyone's efforts to help ETM-LA. I have worked with many different organizations in my lifetime, but ETM-LA stands out as one of the best non-profit I have been fortunate to be involved. These great people and the inspiring work they do for our community and children for education in music is life changing for many.
After being exposed to the lovely and competent leaders of ETM, my daughter was inspired to participate in the choir. She was so happy and motivated! The director is wonderful! The performance was fantastic, memorable and heart warming. I will never forget the evening performance and everything my daughter gets to do. Music expands people to be more than they thought they can be. I hope many more people can have this kind of experience.
ETM-LA is a terrific organization. The people who work there are dedicated, passionate individuals who absolutely love music. The work they do with the children is incredible, and the children love it, too. If you value wonderful people doing tremendous work, consider giving your time to ETM-LA.
i have both worked and volunteered for this nonprofit. I've seen many aspects of the organization, from dedication and passion from the staff members to the impact music instruction has on the students. ETM-LA has had a huge impact on the students of Los Angeles, and the music instruction is top-notch.
ETM-LA puts music into under privileged schools in the Greater Los Angeles area serving over 6,000 low income disadvantaged youth. The passion for having music education for every child as part of their core curriculum in schools is shared with the staff, faculty, and volunteers of ETM-LA. They work tirelessly to develop funds and raise awareness for ETM-LA's mission, education in music. I'm honored and appreciative to be a part of such a meaningful organization!
This is an outstanding non-profit that provides comprehensive music education to disadvantaged students in Los Angeles area schools. During a time where music programs are being cut, not only do they partner with districts and schools to support the reestablishment of school music programs, they level the playing field by making sure EVERY CHILD receives the highest quality music instruction from expert, well trained music teachers. This goes beyond after school programming, special assemblies or temporary artist residencies. They are IN SCHOOL for ALL GRADES for the entire school year. The programming is outstanding and schools are seeing real results not only for the learning of music, but the development of the whole student.
This is a fantastic non profit, doing wonderful work and really making a positive impact on childrens' lives all over Los Angeles.
Everyone is so friendly and supportive and I love being involved!
Education Through Music - Los Angeles is an amazing organization. When I was growing up my parents asked me "What instrument do you want to play?" There was no question that I would play one - but the choice of which instrument was up to me. The rest is history. This amazing non-profit gives each child an introduction to music through free public school based music education programs. The children light up when learning about music and they are inspired to grow as individuals. Each child deserves the opportunity to learn about the arts and Education Through Music - Los Angeles is leading this movement!
The Board, staff and volunteers are all dedicated professionals with a love of children and music.
I have known ETM-LA since April, 2011 and find them to be an excellent non-profit. They are very professional and I am glad to give my highest recommendation.

It is amazing when you find a unique nonprofit that truely is dedicated to the program goals and the children. Education Through Music - Los Angeles is that nonprofit and it is wonderful to see how the management and staff will do anything to support the childred with honesty, professionism and developing the musical goals for each child with interface to the community.
Education Through Music-Los Angeles provides music programs to students in public, parochial, and charter schools, with every child in these partnership schools receiving a general music education. With school districts cutting funding for the arts, I think it is more important than ever to continue the tradition of a comprehensive, sequential music education in schools so that every child may have the opportunity to learn and experience the gift of music. ETM-LA is a non-profit that truly cares about changing the lives of the children, and making a difference by strongly believing in the mission to bring music into disadvantaged schools in Los Angeles.
ETM-LA serves over 6,000 disadvantaged youth in low-income schools across Los Angeles. The staff, faculty, and volunteers of ETM-LA work tirelessly to develop funds and raise awareness for ETM-LA's mission. From choirs to string ensembles, ETM-LA provides a sustainable, in-school music curriculum and believes every child deserves a chance to receive an education in music. I'm honored and proud to be a small part of such a meaningful organization!
Before working with Education Through Music-LA, I was involved with numerous music education programs in both NYC and LA. I continue to dedicate myself to this work - to ensure every child receives music education as part of the core curriculum - because ETM-LA's sequential comprehensive music education programming, and the ETM model is TOP-NOTCH. ETM-LA transforms our schools and communities with whom we work, and will continue to come alongside our school districts, parents, principals, and community leaders to keep music in our schools.

I have been involved with ETM-LA now for about 6 years and it is without question one of the most meaningful on-going projects in my life. To witness the life-changing quality music education has for the children in the program is one of the most life-affirming things I can possibly imagine.
ETM-LA is a magnificent program for all children. From my observation, it promotes and brings about peace, culture, and education to the forefront of the community. This is exactly what the students of Los Angeles needs now more than ever. Since my daughter has been participating in ETM-LA her Music skills as well as her Math skills has developed tremendously. Music is the one key element in bringing about world peace and human kindness in such a diverse society. Music brings us all together as one big beautiful happy family. ETM-LA does a remarkable job in educating students in becoming all he or she can be!!! Thank you so much ETM-LA!! Nece Smith
I played the piano accompaniment for one of ETM-LA's Student Recital and experienced first hand how competent, loving and caring the ETM-LA teachers were. They were not only teaching children how to play violin or cello, they use musical experience to teach children the sense of self-esteem, cooperation and the joy of accomplishment.
My experience as a volunteer with ETM-LA is very rewarding. The organization is far reaching as it impacts handreds of students personally by providing classroom music instruction they would not otherwise receive. It is evident that the staff and board members are fully devoted to making a difference in a child's life by giving them the gift of music. As a retired school teacher I feel a deep level of satisfaction knowing the benefits of music in a child's education impacts success in all areas of the school curriculum.
Volunteering for Education Through Muisc Los Angeles is always a pleasure. I love working with the kids and seeing them grow. Its always amazing to see how they learn and how much I learn from them. ETM-LA has changed the lives of so many children and I am grateful to be apart of that.
When I first discovered Education Through Music Los Angeles I knew I wanted to be a part of the organization in any way possible. When I was a kid, the music program at school was cut. I was lucky enough to have parents who understood the importance of music education AND had the means to provide me with private lessons. ETM-LA comes through in the clutch the same way my parents did for me. They are some of the most kind, dedicated, and sincere people I have met. It is a beautiful and heart-opening experience every time I volunteer . I know that with more funding this fantastic non-profit will have its profound impact on an even larger scale. We desperately need it. Where would any of us be without music?
Education Through Music - Los Angeles fills an incredibly important role within LA area schools: providing comprehensive music instruction in schools where district music programs have been drastically reduced or cut altogether. In ETM-LA schools, EVERY SINGLE STUDENT has the opportunity to learn a musical instrument. The overall academic and life benefits of this are far too numerous to cover here, so I'll just say that I am honored to be involved and volunteer for ETM-LA.
Both my children have benefited by the programs ETM-LA have brought to our school. It is very important to my family that our children are exposed to the arts and with the generous assistance of ETM-LA they are exposed through music. Music is very important to the overall education of a child in my opinion. As a family of 5, we are not in a financial situation to pay for music lessons so I am very greatful to ETM-LA for the education they are providing for all the children in our school. My son has been chosen to be involved in several programs/fundraisers outside of school time that ETM-LA has been involved with and it has been a great experience for him. We are very fortunate to have ETM-LA at our school.
Working with ETM-LA has been a fantastic experience for me. I have had the chance to meet a variety of students from a wide range of backgrounds, and have seen the impact music can have on their lives. The great work that ETM-LA is doing in our community is creating well-rounded, articulate, and excited students for the future.
ETM-LA is so amazing because it is providing high quality, continous music education to schools that would otherwise be without. The personnel is excellent - from the leadership to the staff, the level of passion for the organization, knowledge and desire to serve the community is incredible. It is unique (among other ways) in that it makes sure that the relationships with the schools and the communities is open. Communication is the key to success - each program is flexible in order to meet the needs of those specific schools, communities, and students. ETM-LA is effectively filling a vital need - and is growing year by year to serve more students.
Everyone at ETM-LA is so incredibly passionate about what they do. They truly care about the kids they help and I can tell, just from their stories, that the kids' lives are completely changed by the contributions by ETM-LA. It is a magnificent program that I am so proud to be apart of, even in a very small way.
ETM-LA provides valuable instruction in the classroom to students throughout Los Angeles, who may otherwise not receive music in their schedule. As a teaching artist with ETM-LA, I have found the program to not only benefit the students, but also the teachers who gain valuable training and peer assessment through ETM-LA's teacher workshops. I will forever be thankful to ETM-LA for all the help and guidance they have given me, as a music teacher, along with the wonderful experience of working with so many of Los Angeles' brightest young minds.
ETM-LA is the rare organization that fills a pressing educational void with a well thought out and well executed program: curricular and logistical support for students, teachers and schools, excellent administration and a passionate base of supporters. I am so proud to see fellow musicians taking an active role in ensuring that the next generation will experience music-making and all the benefits that flow from it!
I couldn't get our son away from the computers, video games, xbox you name. Then ETM at Rio Vista Elementary some how changed all that. He now has been taking music guitar classes and studying theory. Now he practices everyday to the point we've purchased a guitar and it has cut his computer gaming time by 70%. The ETm is a God-send, I thought the only way to get him away from gaming would be to put him on punishment. He now has a better sense of direction, discipline and determination to learn music and the guitar. Kudos to ETM
ETM has been a fantastic resource as an aspiring music educator. While working with ETM, I have discovered an entire community of passionate artists and teachers all working together to better the lives of students. I look forward to seeing this organization grow and to be a part of such a strong network of artists.
ETM - LA is a great organization. It has given my daughter the confidence she needed to succeed in school and in other facets of her life and other activities. Music is essential for a child's growth and it lends itself to better a child in other subjects or parts of their life. It is a great thing that They need to keep up the GREAT work they are doing for our children.
ETM-LA is a great organization because the people who work and volunteer with the organization are so dedicated. In my experience with helping to organize events and prepare for the annual gala, the volunteers and staff members went far outside their job duties to make sure that everything went well. In addition, everyone associated with ETM-LA is dedicated to the children that receive the benefits of the organization. Everyone understands the importance of music education and really tries hard to ensure that music education can reach many as many LA children as possible.
As a professional in the music industry I realize the importance of music education for school children. I think every child should have some sort of music education and ETM-LA's work in this field is a great contribution to the Los Angeles community. Growing up with music helped shape me into the person I am now and I am so happy that thanks to ETM-LA other children are getting the opportunity that I was so privileged to have. ETM-LA goes beyond the music curriculum and offers real life musical experiences that show the kids another side of Los Angeles.
I joined the Education Through Music-Los Angeles team this summer and could not be happier. In the short time that I have been with ETM-LA I have already been so inspired by their mission to provide ALL children with a well-rounded education that includes music and the arts. In fact, I have been so moved by the work that ETM-LA does that after almost 10 years of not touching an instrument, I have decided to pick one up again. Executive Director Victoria Lanier's passion for opening children's eyes to all that music has to offer is unquestionable. ETM-LA gives Los Angeles children the wonderful opportunity of a quality music education that happens to come with extra treats such as school visits by Justin Guarini (American Idol finalist) and Joshua Bell. It is truly a remarkable program that has the potential to transform the ever failing Los Angeles Unified School District. The only complaint I have about ETM-LA is that its programs did not exist when I was a school kid in LA since I sincerely believe that its music education could have made me a much more musical person than I am today - and what a gift that would have been.
ETM-LA has brought "The Sound of Music" to our school community. As principal of St. Sebastian School, I have witnessed firsthand the powerful effect that ETM-LA has had on our school community. Our students have been exposed to unbelievable experiences. First, they take pride in learning/playing the violin and guitar. We have also visited Pixar scoring studios, an American Idol rehearsal, and a local high school for musicals and plays. A few months ago, I mentioned to Victoria that we were working to integrate technology throughout our whole curriculum. Victoria immediately jumped on board and offered to start a Music Technology program for our middle school students. This program is now in the works. Thank you, ETM-LA!
ETM-LA is an amazing program with a dedicated group of talented teachers and administrators! I have been working with them for four years and every year I've been with them they have managed to somehow improve what I would consider an already sucsessful program. I have worked with such organizations for many years and I can say without any doubt that they train their instructors better, providing more resources and opporunities than anyone else and connecting my students with programs that can serve there needs if they themselves cannot. You can not ask for a better music program than ETM-LA.
In the past two years at Castelar Elementary where I supervise, coordinate the program with the public school administrators and classroom teachers as well as teach the students violin and co-conduct the afterschool orchestra, I have seen Education Through Music-Los Angeles (ETM-LA) encourage the arts, help give a well-rounded music education to the students, and build a strong and lasting impression on the students as well as their families. The growing desire of the community to have an orchestra is directly related to the inspiration and opportunity to play string instruments that ETM-LA has provided with the school. Parents consistently tell me how much involvement they would like their kids to have in music. The parents are recognizing how music, orchestra, ETM-LA has provided a place for their child to grow creatively, academically and personally– many kids show improvement in their overall self-confidence. I am a dedicated educator and performer and it is a joy to share this with a community that lacks these opportunities and choices for young kids.
"Education Through Music - Los Angeles" first came onto my radar at the moment of its inception, in 2005. For the past 5 years I have been a Board Member, helping to bring our various projects and ambitions to life. One such project entailed bringing an entire class of our kids to the recording session for the Pixar film 'Ratatouille,' by composer Michael Giacchino. Michael was eventually nominated for the Academy Award for that score (and won a couple years later for the Pixar film "Up"). The awe on those kids' faces as they witnessed an 85-piece A-list orchestra play some absolutely fantastic music was indescribable. It was an enlightening moment for all of us. The fact that this was, for all intents and purposes, just an ordinary day for ETM-LA highlights the immense power of this group, and its ability to fundamentally change the lives of its students.
This organization is well run in an efficient, organized manner. The staff and volunteers put 100% into everything they do to ensure they meet their goals. The music programs in the schools that ETM-LA supports exudes this same level of commitment which ultimately enhances the overall success of the childrens' academic achievement.
As a volunteer for the past year, I have found ETM-LA to be an exceptionally, well-run organization for its small size. Victoria Lanier, the Executive Director, and the wonderful staff run a tight ship, and get the most out of every dollar. It's no wonder that ETM-LA has been able to grow the amount of students served despite the current school budget crisis.

As a volunteer, I have seen firsthand the amazing dedication and sincere passion that the ETM-LA staff, teaching artists and Board members contribute to the organization's mission: to provide music education for every child. They are not only committed to serving the over 2,000 children that they currently provide music instruction to, but ensuring that all LAUSD children have a right to a well-rounded education in light of the current local budget crisis. With prior experience in the investment management community, I can without a doubt say that this organization has a top-notch, lean management team that has the right vision for the necessary tools that all students must possess in order to build our economy for the future.
This is a wonderful Program and I absolutely love what ETM-LA does. I had a chance to work with the kids and it was wonderful seeing them enjoy music.Music is really important because it can help a child academically and emotionally. Music is a character builder and ETM-LA is helping this children grow to be wonderful people.Thank you ETM-LA for a being such an amazing program.
I believe ETM-LA is a wonderful program that is constantly impacting the lives of many students (including my son), teacher and families. Students are able to discover their gifts and talents in music, which unlocks parts of their brain, helping them to do well in school(academically, socially, emotionally) and makes it easier for teachers to teach. Families are able to enjoy, celebrate and nurture the talent of the child. This is my personal testimony. Thank You ETM-LA Amazing program!!!
ETM-LA has positively changed the outlook of my students in a very dynamic fashion and has added tremendous value to the Castelar community. The value that they have added is to create a culture of musical and creative discipline. My students are eager to commit themselves to the practice and the dedication needed to master an instrument. Considering the fact that students (and adults) express their academic, inter-personal, and intra-personal attributes in various ways. ETM-LA has channeled many of my students to show evidence of learning through the arts. I am grateful for their solid and consistent support. Mr. Quinonez, 5th grade teacher 2009 - 2010
My 4th graders enjoy going to their weekly cello and violin lessons. The music instructors are wonderful. They've learned numerous skills from the music teachers.
Music education improves the way the human brain processes spoken language. Castelar students are privilidged to have ETM here. Each year, my students are motivated to learn and play their instruments (both the cello and the violin). My third grade students look forward to their lessons each week. ETM has helped my students develop discipline and self confidence.
My second graders eagerly await their weekly instrument lesson. Their interest is evident by the total attention they give to their music instructor. Each lesson incorporates listening, speaking, reading, and performance skills. After just a few sessions, my students' self esteem and self confidence have grown tremendously.Their confidence now allows them to fully participate and savor each music lesson.
This program has improved the focus, motivation, and achievement of our elementary students. By using musical instruments as an incentive, students learn to literally "play" together. Class cohesion has improved. At-risk students have an additional medium in which to succeed. Listening skills and coordination are amplified. Students observe their teachers learning a new skill along side them. This has been a wonderful enhancement to the school program.
• I have been a classical music lover since I was 13 years old. • The amazing aspect of classical music is the intellectual and emotional messages it sends to the listener. This kind of communication to children is something that is a very enlightening experience. • Giving children the ability to play a musical instrument very much ties in with the listening to music – classical and otherwise. It gives them a feeling of serenity, excitement and more. • ETM-LA is the type of organization that is so very important in today’s society by giving children the opportunity not only to hear but to perform music. That is so important for the emotions of the brain and the heart.
ETM-LA is such a breath of fresh air for music programs in Los Angeles. In a day and age where music is unfortunately being cut from school curricula, I have been fortunate enough to work with an organization who is able to bring music back into the schools through guided instruction, and reach hundreds of students on a daily basis. As a 2nd grade cello instructor, I have noticed an immense amount of improvement in the student's mentality and approach to music through this program. The students leave the classroom happy and fulfilled, often mentioning that they wish they could stay in class after it is over. This would not be possible without such an extraordinary program!
As a Teaching Artist in the program, I have the honor of working with each of the schools, the ETM-LA director and staff, and the students. Without the donations provided to the organization, I would not be able to carry on my own dream of bringing music education to students who would otherwise be unable to afford it. Although it is true that the students do not get to practice their guitars at home (I'm a guitar teacher), using the curriculum and training provided by ETM-LA makes it possible for them to continue to excel with such limitations.
ETM opened a new window of opportunity for one of my special education students. He was having great difficulty in all subject areas this year and it was beginning to affect his self-esteem. Then one day, during the ETM cello lesson, he began to shine. His posture was perfect, he was hitting all the notes, and he even remembered the names of some of the notes! The teacher commended him on his progress and you could see a visible change in his demeanor. Now when he goes to cello class he holds his head up high and feels proud of himself. What a wonderful gift! Thank you ETM! Liseli Walan, 5th Grade Teacher, Castelar E.S.
ETMLA strikes right at the core of my life. When I was a child, my involvement with music shaped me and set me on a course of lifelong fulfillment. We often talk about the relationship between music and self esteem, and music with test scores, and all of this is true. But one thing that I read once in a book about Beethoven said that the emotions in music are the equivalent of great values and great philosophy. Then - I saw how the spontaneous joy of music can become the spontaneous discovery of the feelings behind good values. I realized that when people make music, that it touches their truest feelings and selves. To give a child music is to give a child a soul. When I have been to our concerts, and I see underprivileged children dressing up in their finest clothes, and their families doing the same, and I see the pride in their eyes about what they have achieved, I know that these children are growing in the same way that music has helped me to grow. To me, our biggest challenge isn't just in raising money; it's in living in a society where the collective ignorance that our policy makers have about their own hearts would even allow them to think about cutting music out of our schools. And people have to vote for these policy makers? Someday, I don't just want people to realize that music will make children in to better engineers, doctors and lawyers - for it surely will; but that math and grammar will also make children in to better musicians. Teach on, ETMLA!!!!
ETM-LA has brought an aspect of learning to the 2nd-5th grade students of Castelar Elementary School had not experienced prior to their partnership with us. The students along with their teachers learn the fundamentals of violin or cello each week culminating in a Spring concert each year. My students look forward to Mondays when they have ETM and a few have purchased their own instruments to practice on their own.
John Lennon succinctly described my feelings about music and ETM-LA when he said "As I play the game of life I try to make it better each and every day. And when I struggle in the night the magic of the music seems to light the way. JOHN LENNON, Intuition" My hope is that my volunteer activities with ETMLA help give the gift of music that can make life better each and every day!
ETM-LA is a very important part of my life. What they do for students, foremost, but also for schools / communities is difficult to summarize properly. The standard accomplishment of the program is the dramatic enrichment of a young child's early education and development. Adding music increases test scores, social aptitudes and many other ancillary benefits. That's the STANDARD, rather typical accomplishment! At its best, ETM-LA completely revitalizes communities which have been sadly neglected or otherwise under-served. The chain reaction caused by students suddenly participating in music-making brings new interactions between parents, school and kids that would otherwise never have happened. I had the immense pleasure of bringing a group of first-time music students from an ETM-LA partner school to a recording session for a big Hollywood production. Watching an 84-piece orchestra of some of the finest musicians in the world lit up these students' eyes beyond anything I could have predicted. Stories came back for weeks and weeks from the students about how inspiring that trip had been.
I am a homeroom teacher at a school that partners with ETM-LA. I think it is a fantastic program; all of our students are learning to play an instrument. Students come back from music class smiling and wanting to share what chord or song they have mastered on the guitar. The two concerts a year also give the students an opportunity to display their talents. Not only do our students learn to play an instrument, ETM-LA has also provided our students with several concerts and musical appreciation presentations. Our students are lucky to have such a program!
Our school has worked with ETM-LA for the past two years. The program and the staff are fantastic. The students look forward to their weekly classes and are learning a great deal about music.I would highly recommend this program to other schools that are interested in an instrumental music program at their school.
I have worked as an ETM-LA staff member and volunteer for the past 2 years. ETM-LA has been my first experience working at a nonprofit, but having been involved with other organizations as a performer and educator, I must say that ETM-LA is very unique in its comprehensive approach to school reform. For ETM-LA, music education is not just a one-time experience. It is a movement that involves inspiring students, teachers, parents and principals by sharing the benefits and joy of music through a quality, integrated curriculum.
