Wonderful organization that offers financial literacy to all age groups. The seminars are filled with take away information that can help my clients as well as friends and family.
This is the only organization of it's kind that I know of that touches people throughout all phases of life

I recently attended a workshop hosted by Equity First Foundation. The venue was great and the topic was super interesting. I always wanted to get in to house flipping and I was able to learn about the pitfalls and make new contacts. I am currently going to contract on a house thanks to what i learned at Equity First Foundation's work shop on real estate investing.
In collaboration with NEFCU, Equity provided financial counseling to the Nassau County Department of Social Services homeless clients. Rhonda and her team provided informative classes on how to budget their money, rectifying bad credit, tips to locate affordable housing and engaging landlords. A professional organization which holistically understands all facets of homelessness and treats clients with dignity and respect. A wonderful organization.
I was having problems budgeting and understanding my finances on such a limited income and Equity helped me get on the right track and although I don't have the money to pay a high end company Equity treated me like I was royalty which helped me feel so much better all around. I'm very thankful I was introduced to such a wonderful nonprofit.
As a board member and volunteer I’m incredibly fortunate and thrilled to know Rhonda and her incredible efforts and contributions through Equity First. From the families she fed at Thanksgiving, Holiday Dream and the baby shower to help a mother who fled from domestic violence its been a wonderful experience as a board member and volunteer. Most importantly the efforts Rhonda has to give back to the community when they are faced with a life crisis is outstanding. I’ve been lucky enough to join Rhonda in selecting families in need to spend a week away at The Haven-a retreat house upstate! I could go on forever. Thank you Rhonda for all that you do for our communities!
I write this review with great pleasure. I am married to the Executive Director and as a husband it makes me proud of what my children are learning. Kids these days need to be made more aware of finances, spending and needs/wants. The programs that the foundation teach are relevant to everyone from 4 years old and up. My children have learned to be good citizens and volunteer. It is so important for all families to take a workshop from the foundation. They are not meant just for people that are struggling but for all people. The knowledge and ideas that are shared at these programs can enhance everyone's perspective of financial literacy. I love what the foundation does and has to offer and support the long hours and hard work of my wife because I am a fan.
I am an active volunteer for the Equity First Foundation. I have known Rhonda all my life; she is a wonderful and caring person who is an inspiration to the community. This foundation integrates dedication and service in the community with a mission to improve lives. I have helped with Holiday Dream Event, the Angel Awards and Financial Literacy Month. I would always be happy to dedicate my time and efforts into such a helpful, caring and professional foundation. It’s motivating to see what a little community service can do.
I refer clients to First Equity as well as assist in fundraising campaigns.
First Equity is a amazing organization to work with.
I am a volunteer for the foundation and I am so happy with the work we do for our community. I help with the Holiday Dream event we do each year. This year we helped over 300 people by providing holiday cheer. I love meeting new people and making an impact on their lives. I always refer people to the foundation when I hear they have financial questions or concerns.
I am a insurance professional and refer Equity first foundation to my clients that have financial concerns. The trainers at the foundation assist my clients in the areas of budgeting, credit and home prevention. The trainers, staff are very professional and I highly recommend them.
A passion for our community, teaching people of all ages, from elementary school ( needs v wants ) through adulthood. Focus on special needs areas ( developmentally disabled ) has been most rewarding as a new set of curriculum has to be created. It is an amazing journey with unbelievable volunteers, trainers and support. I refer to the foundation for countless community projects and much needed support.
Rhonda has been helping many of our nations returning Veterans sift through the difficult and messy debt reduction process. She is able to provide interesting and relevant conversation to those who wish to receive assistance. Through one on one or group training, she and her team have been able to provide a wealth of knowledge and action plans to serve the Veteran Community among others.
I have known and been working with Rhonda Klch for over 10 years on numerous projects. I am in awe at the determination and selfless hard work that she has put into the many creative events that she has done for the community. Equity First Foundation is a stem of her passion for helping and teaching others how to make their lives better.
In the world we live in today, we need more people to show empathy and compassion for others like Equity First Foundation.
