I have been volunteering at Elite Equine Rescue (EER) for almost two years. Gina, the owner of EER, is an amazing woman. She takes in rescues or surrenders that were slated for euthanasia and with a lot of work (PT, taping, etc.) and patience, she rehabilitates those horses for adoption. I have seen abused horses come into the rescue that were so afraid of humans, they would cower in a corner of the stall, would not eat or drink. A few months later, the same horses are now happy as can be, come to the fence or the door when they see us, and holler for their food. Elite Equine Rescue is a great place for horses and humans alike. The volunteers always feel welcome and they are treated with respect.
