Mission: The mission of the Elementary Institute of Science (EIS) is to inspire a love of science and create opportunities for diverse children and youth. Our motto is - Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion in STEM.
Results: Through school partnerships, after-school programs, camps, and teen leadership initiatives, EIS participants engage in STEM learning and become inspired, future STEM leaders. Most of EIS's programs are delivered at our learning center, featuring eight different learning labs. Diverse instructors who are graduate-level students with current STEM expertise teach labs. EIS collaborates with local schools, other education nonprofits, universities, and local STEM professionals to provide a variety of resources and experiences that encourage and inspire students to become life-long learners.

Programs: 1) After school and Saturday programs focused on science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) for grades 2-8. 2) Summer, Fall , Winter and Spring school break STEM camps for grades 2-8. 3) Steps-2-STEM is a 5-week program that provides 25 hours of hands-on science labs for five Title I schools, and up to 200 4th and 5th grade students. 4) A robotics team where middle school girls learn to design, code and build robots in teams led by relatable female coaches. They compete in the regional Botball competition. 5) Girls Take Flight is an innovative program to provide 10th and 11th grade girls extensive hands-on experience building and flying drones as well as exploring their many uses. 6) High school students are able to participate in the Teen STEAM Café, Teton Scholar Program, Girls Take Flight, and the Lab Assistant program.
