Nonprofit Overview
Causes: Employment Preparation & Procurement, Human Services, Job Training, Personal Social Services, Sheltered Employment, Vocational Rehabilitation
Mission: To assist people with disabilities and other special needs to maximize their potential for employment and independence and to broaden their opportunities for full inclusion into society. To that end we operate job training and placement programs and a custodial business for adults and a specially designed financial assistance program for eligible families with children with special needs called champions for children.
Target demographics: Adults with disabilities
Direct beneficiaries per year: 150 Disabled Individuals gain employment with workforce training and job sampling programs.
Geographic areas served: Augusta, Thompson, Waynesboro, Evans, Hephzibah, Martinez, and other surrounding areas of CSRA
Programs: Services available for medically fragile and special needs children, as well as personal social adjustment services for young adults with autism. Provide services related to skill training for work placement, work adjustment, sheltered employment, education and job club for adults.
