Causes: Human Services
Mission: Established on July 28, 2000 the We Care Team program is chartered to develop Leadership, promote Mentorship, and enhance Camaraderie at Dyess AFB through Community service work.
Results: July 2015 will make 15 years of helping Abilene's (and the Big Country) elderly, disabled and needy.
Target demographics: provide 4,000 volunteer hours towards our primary mission of minor home repair and assist in raising a significant amount of money for Abilene organizations and the community
Direct beneficiaries per year: 15 homeowners without financial means to repair their homes, coordinating 350 volunteers.
Geographic areas served: Abilene, TX and surrounding communities
Programs: - Painting - Replacing hardware - Removing dry rot - Landscaping - Fundraising for such organizations as the Humane Society and Project Graduation
