Dominican Learning Center

The Dominican Learning Center is an incredible organization. My boyfriend gets free tutoring there while he is working towards getting a G.E.D. The tutors and staff at the center are spectacular they are so personable, friendly, and non-judgemental. Since my boyfriend has been there his problem solving and knowledge of mathematical concepts has tremendously increased. His vocabulary, critical thinking abilities, reading comprehension, grammatical writing, overall confidence in his language skills has skyrocketed. The tutors are well versed on their subject areas, and meet each student at their level while working towards steps towards various goals and custom fitting their lessons to each students individual needs. They work on fostering positive experiences with education, developing the overall growth of each student, and taking reasonable steps towards academic well roundedness with preparation and strong achievement of passing the G.E.D. test. The curriculum focusses on development of skills needed to not only past the test but for advancement in the school of life. Since my boyfriend has gone there he has not only progressed through academic success he has improved his overall well being, exposure, abilities, and expanded his horizons as well as mental and intellectual prowess and progression. My boyfriend and myself consider the staff at Dominican Learning Center as extended family, who are interested in helping each person they interface with, learner, student, or non student familial supports, in promoting extensive success, in school, in life, from a holistic perspective. They are angels in disguise whom definitely have an overwhelming positive affect on the communities they serve. This organization goes above and beyond for each learner/student and for myself and my boyfriend far exceeds expectations and deserves a superlative grade for overall effectiveness throughout the many people they reach and help and their span of influence through the various communities in Columbus, Ohio. It is my hope that those in need of reaching various educational goals will give them a try. You won't regret it.
