Causes: Human Service Organizations, Human Services
Mission: As a nonprofit social innovation firm, we empower communities, organizations, and systems to innovate on their current practices and tackle seemingly unsolvable problems through a creative and inclusive lens.
Programs: We incubate projects that transform communities. Our incubate projects include work with the montgomery county, ohio government to develop cross- departmental approaches that better connect social services to employment services at the montgomery county jobs center; as well as work with the united way of central ohio to facilitate the creation of a network of organizations focused on building financial capabilities across franklin county, ohio.
we equip leaders with social innovation tools. Our equip projects include studio c and the shift both with the united way of greater cincinnati. Through studio c, we develop and lead a free three-month social innovation incubator where we equipped 19 local organizations with the tools to tackle complex social problems in new ways. Through the shift, we co-create and facilitate a three-month social innovation challenge. Through the shift, teams of highly skilled-volunteers come together to develop high potential ideas into solutions for some of our community's most challenging issues.
we also work to advance methods of creative community change. We do this through small one day or less workshops all over the country. Last year we also reflected on our work and the patterns we noticed to create a report called, metathemes. Metathemes is a research report that presents a collection of common social equity themes and targeted approaches to addressing them that organizations across the spectrum of social impact can modify and implement.
