I am honored to coach the Delphi Opera House in creating a plan to retire its capital campaign debt while postioning itself to map out a new strategic plan to enhance the arts community enriching the Delphi region. With a new executive director on board and the sustaining involvement of a number of Board members, it is the optimal time to invest in an innovative and inspiring future.

The owners of the Opera House Gallery of Contemporary Art – Deb Waymire, Alan McConnell, and Rena Brouwer:

“The events hosted at the Delphi Opera House have significantly boosted the visibility of Delphi and provided a positive economic impact, particularly for the Opera House Gallery. By attracting a diverse range of visitors—locals and tourists alike—these events have not only increased foot traffic but have also driven higher sales for the gallery. As more patrons attend performances, exhibitions, and community gatherings, they explore the gallery's offerings, purchasing artwork and other items that reflect the rich artistic talent of Delphi.

Furthermore, the combination of the gallery's unique offerings and the Opera House's programming enhances Delphi's appeal as a regional destination for arts and culture, with opportunities for long-term growth in both attendance and sales. In this way, the Opera House's events not only enrich the local culture but also provide a tangible economic benefit to our gallery and the broader Delphi community.”

Julie Holder, owner of the Brick and Mortar Pub, had to say about the opera house:
“As a business owner in Delphi, I’ve observed the opera house’s contribution to the downtown area for several years. I think it is a great gem sitting in the crown of our community that causes ripple effects that go beyond the obvious contributions. The first is bringing wonderful arts in all forms: music, drama, and art, to our small rural town. It attracts many to the county that might otherwise have to travel to other bigger cities to enjoy such experiences. The next ripple effect is the night of the event, which brings groups of like-minded individuals to our town who are excited to enjoy a terrific experience hosted by the Delphi Opera House. People gather in our restaurant for a good meal before the show where we witness the excitement of the upcoming event. The next ripple effect is the memory of joy each time the visitors look back on their fun experience in Delphi. They share with family and friends the joy of the night, which brings future excited visitors to future events. As a people, we weren’t designed to just work and pay bills, although we need to do that to survive. All of us should be able to experience or express joy and to be happy. The Delphi Opera House assists in that positive experience for many people. I’m proud to live in a community that supports and benefits from the Delphi Opera House.”
