As a mother, grandmother and lifelong career Pediatrician, all babies and young children are precious and family to me. They need diapers to keep their hygiene, be comfortable, healthy and happy - bout 3-5 per day.
They need them to be able to go to day care and for mothers to go to work or attend school.
The government agencies WIC, SNAP can't provide these for them.
The presence of DAYTON DIAPER DEPOT is then heaven-sent ! This non-profit all volunteer organization provides diapers to the most vulnerable in our community. They partner with provider agencies for distribution. They have given out thousands of diapers to families in need just in the few years of operation.
This is a shout out for Dayton Diaper Depot ! They need to be applauded and supported for their ncredible job, a most worthy cause.

Dayton Diaper Depot is really trying to address the diaper need in the Dayton Area. They work through over 50 partner agencies to distribute diapers to babies and mothers in need. They wrap diapers in bundles of 25. Helping them wrap those diapers is a great way to help our community. Let them know if you're interested in having a diaper drive to get them more diapers! Or donate cash so they can buy more diapers! Any help would be appreciated!
Dayton Diaper Depot is only a few years old but has already provided 3/4 of 1,000,000 diapers to mothers and families in need. It has enabled some to stay in school and others to worry about one less thing. As a volunteer I am happy to wrap diapers in the quantities needed or anything else asked of me.
I am the executive director of Dayton Diaper Depot. We are a volunteer powered non-profit that provides diapers to babies in need. We have wonderful volunteers that are committed to improving the health of the most vulnerable in our community.
I first learned about Dayton Diaper Depot at its beginning, approximately 3 years ago. Although it is a relatively new non-profit, the impact on low-income families having to choose between paying their rent or buying diapers for their babies is huge. Today Dayton Diaper Depot provides diapers at food pantries, in high schools, at health care facilities, adding new partnerships to expand distribution and reach as many babies as we can. Together with our volunteers there is no limit to what Dayton Diaper Depot can achieve. Dayton Diaper Depot has a goal to distribute one million diapers by February 2025. Help us reach that goal!
Dayton Diaper Depot was started in a small two car garage and has grown/developed due to its founder, Maggie Schneermann. Her commitment and determination to helping babies/families in need of diapers is unmatched. I am amazed at the number of diapers that have been collected after only a couple of years and know it will continue for many years to come with the right donors, grants and fundraising! I am honored to volunteer with her and her group, helping children "from the bottom up!"
From the volunteer point of view, the Diaper Depot has provided a wonderful opportunity for myself and my students to foster the virtue of generosity by giving of their time to pack diapers. It also serves as a reminder of our Christian duty to support those who are struggling to meet certain needs. Dayton is blessed to have Diaper Depot support young mothers and babies with diapers and the love they represent.
