Darwin Animal Doctors is a Veterinary Clinic on Santa Cruz Island in the Galapagos Islands that is staffed by volunteer Veterinarians and Vet students that are spaying and neutering the feral dog and cat population that has grown out of control for a decade or more. These animals are threatening the unique, and in many cases endangered wildlife on the Islands. The volunteers are also engaged in education of the local [populace o the importance controlling the animal population to protect the bio-diversity of this special place.
They can use contributions of medical supplies and equipment and funds for day to day operating expenses.

Causes: Animal Protection & Welfare, Animals
Mission: We bring veterinary care to developing countries and run a full-time, free veterinary clinic in the Galapagos Islands.
Results: Treated over 10,000 animals, all for free. Volunteers and donors will help us keep it that way! The more funds we raise, the more animals we can save. Our model can be exported from the Galapagos, Ecuador to more countries and we start operations in Belize in 2017.

Direct beneficiaries per year: 2,534 animals directly, 16 endangered species indirectly, and have 40 volunteers from 9 countries.
Geographic areas served: Galapagos, mainland Ecuador, Greenland, Thailand, Belize and the United States
Programs: We provide free veterinary services for domestic animals and wildlife in developing countries. Humane education is an essential part of our operations for creating lasting solutions. We work within the communities by creating veterinary clinics and providing veterinary training.
