I had the amazing opportunity to adopt a dog through D&A Animal Rescue, and I cannot express enough how incredible of an organization they are. Their dedication and passion for their mission truly shines through in everything they do.

My dog, Buddy, came from a truly abusive situation, and it was heartbreaking to see the fear and mistrust he had towards humans. However, thanks to the love and care shown to him by the rescue, Buddy has slowly learned to trust again. The transformation he has undergone is nothing short of remarkable.

I wholeheartedly recommend D&A Animal Rescue to anyone looking to adopt a furry companion. They are true heroes in every sense of the word. The work they do not only saves the lives of these animals but also changes the lives of the people fortunate enough to adopt them.

Buddy has completely changed my life, and I am forever grateful for that. Through his unconditional love and unwavering loyalty, he has brought immense joy and happiness into my home. I can't imagine my life without him now.

We are also a local 501C3 animal rescue and have partnered with D&A numerous times to help animals in the Houston area. Denisse and Arturo always go above and beyond for those without voices. I can’t think of a better organization to partner with for local rescue efforts. They not only provide a safe environment for those that need decompression, medial, training, but dedicate their own time to socialize each and everyone for a better adoption result.

My experience with D&A Animal Rescue was absolutely fantastic. I reached out to them with a simple message, asking for help with a few stray kittens I had found on the street. Not only did they promptly respond and arrange a time to pick them up, but they went above and beyond by offering to spay my female dog for free. They took the time to explain the benefits of getting my dog spayed and showed genuine care and concern for the animals. They are truly remarkable individuals who work tirelessly to make a difference in the lives of animals. I am incredibly grateful for their hard work and dedication.

I was originally worried about getting a rescue dog, but D&A rescue made the process informative and worry free! I don’t think I would ever do anything but rescue a dog!

The application process didn’t take that long, and they were fairly quick getting back even with only having a few people working for them. They truly want what’s best for the dogs. If you get chosen for a dog you set up a live video chat where they get to know you and you show them the space the dog will live in, but you also get video call time with the dog to see him/her and ask the foster any questions.

Our dog was unexpectedly very nervous in transport. D&A were consistently in communication with us for how to best support our dog on our ride home from pickup but how to also best support him once home.

We followed all of the recommendations from D&A (they know what they’re talking about!) and by the end of the first night our dog was very comfortable with myself, my husband and our son. In the coming days and weeks our dog showed us what a fantastic personality he has and what a good boy he really is. We thank D&A for trusting us with our little guy because he’s been the perfect addition to our home. I highly recommend D&A rescue to anyone looking to adopt dogs.

We rescued our pup almost 2 years ago from D & A rescue and we’ve been happy ever since! The process was smooth and Denise was easy to contact. Denise and her small team really take the time to find the perfect fit and we are so happy she trusted us to home our now, almost 2 year old pup. If I had to do it all over again, I would choose this rescue all over again. Denise is such a caring and passionate person and it really shows in her work.
