CURRIKI is a wonderful site that gives Teachers the opportunity to get in touch with other colleagues in order to share experiences about the use of different resources to enrich the Teaching Learning Process. It is so helpful to find different and interesant free resources for us, as Teachers from a foreign country to use. M. A. Margarita R. Ruiz, Tech Coordinator, Instituto D'Amicis, A. C: Puebla, México
I tell all my teacher friends to go to Curriki. I just love this site. I get their emails with tons of resources they recommend and I also follow them on Pinterest. Their emails and their blogs are the best ways to keep up with what's new and timely. Tell your teacher friends about Curriki.org!
Love Curriki! It provides me with the highest quality content I have been able to find online. One of my favorite resources!!
Curriki has helped both my kids and my students immensely with great high quality content that helps them understand concepts they are struggling with and allows them to move ahead in areas where they are doing well! I love Curriki as a teacher and a parent.
My granddaughter had an optional Halloween project assigned from her teacher. I wanted to find something that was inspiring, creative and would get her excited about working on another project! I went to Curriki and found lesson plans, projects and book references to support the project. I was surprised how easy it was to find. I sorted by subject and grade level was able to find several options for us to pursue. She brought the completed project into her classroom with "props" as suggested and she told me everyone had fun with her pumpkin project. Thank you Curriki. Looks like I am a cool grandmother!
I went to Curriki to find math activities and a reading list for summer for my granddaughter who is starting kindergarten. While there are many on line learning apps, I wanted to also have some resources that we could do together as activities. I found many links to resources that were valuable and could not find any where else. I was able to download them and print them. I also found an excellent reading list. It made our summer time together more interactive, fun and educational!
Awesome site for teachers. We have no time to hunt for activities/curriculum and Curriki does so much! I can search for high school civics and I get exactly what I am looking for.
It is wonderful to work with a team of passionate submission parterns. It has allowed the collection to reach across many new and timely subjects.
It is a very complete OER platform. There wasn't a subject I could not find, whether searching or browing the resources. Great step forward in democratizing education!
I love that you can find just about anything on Curriki - project-based lesson plans, inquiry-based lesson plans, videos, and interactive games. Perfect for my high school classes!
Curriki is a fantastic organization that demonstrates passion for helping and providing education and resources to young people both in the US and abroad. It gives Teachers the opportunity to connect with colleagues for various reasons including curriculum development. Plus, it's free. What could be better!? I love it as a teacher and recommend it to parents too.
Curriki continues to be an exceptional resource for teachers across the globe. The highlight of using Curriki's open-educational resource portal is being able to find high-quality vetted curriculum resources from esteemed partners. It's a one-stop-shop for teachers of all content areas to access and share instructional content---all for FREE! With school districts having to make severe budget cuts or limited access to diverse curriculum ideas/resources, Curriki helps bridge the gap for students and teachers around the world.
I am an educator and a member for 9 years now. Curriki has been my go to for finding high quality resources for my colleagues and for my own teaching. The member community in Curriki is outstanding and I know I can find classroom-tested and successful original lesson plans/units in every content area and topic imaginable! My homeschool teaching friends love it, especially for Curriki's original curated collections, courses, and professional development. I've even spread the word to parents because there are a multitude of resources that they can use for themselves and with their children. Best of all, it is FREE and accessible to all regardless of location, experience, and background. It's such an amazing offering to improve education and collaboration worldwide!
Curriki is a wonderful Open Education Resource for educators anywhere. Curriki provides free lessons and resources on a wide variety of topics. Users have the ability to search for resources by content area or grade level. Once found, resources can be save in individual teacher collections. In addition, users have the ability to share resources by uploading items. One of the greatest strengths of Curriki is the large number of resources that are available. When looking for ways to supplement my lessons, I have been able to find applicable, easy to use resources in very little time, thanks to the extensive Curriki network.
I'm a homeschool parent and I absolutely LOVE Curriki's library of materials. There is SO much to choose from! Great source for homeschoolers. I highly recommend Curriki!
With all the great classroom resources out there, it’s easy to get overwhelmed by what can seem like endless Google and Pinterest search results. I’ve found that Curriki is the best source for free resources! Curriki is my GO TO!
No charge for a database of literally hundreds of thousands of lesson plans, printables, videos, interactives, all created for teachers by teachers and educational partners. Curriki is a free platform that gives access to high-quality teaching resources and provides an online community where teachers can collaborate with, encourage and inspire each other.
Curriki is a wonderful resource for educators world-wide! Curriki provides access to a vast collection of FREE lessons, videos and educational resources that can be used in the classroom, by students or when homeschooling. The resources are organized by subject and grade level, making it easy to locate materials that will meet the specific needs of the user. The website is easy to use and provides a means for educators and learners to collaborate, share expertise and create together. Curriki is clearly commitmented to increasing equity in education.
I am proud to be a board member of this organization that is dedicated to providing free classroom content to schools, teacher, and students – everywhere. Through it’s free online library Curriki helps millions each year. I am most impressed with the incredibly dedicated staff and executive director that work tirelessly to support the mission. The entire team is devoted to ensuring students in every country, every state, and every city have access to the best available teaching and learning materials.
Curriki offers students and teachers high-quality open educational resources. Educators can find classroom ready lesson plans and materials on every subject area and students can find support for enrichment or remediation. In addition to the resources, there are opportunities for collaboration and professional development.
Curriki is an incredible resource for teachers, parents and students! Please join and share your best practices!
Curriki and the team behind it are an inspiration to me - a brilliantly simple idea well executed through intelligence, grit, and good old-fashioned hard work. Theirs is a story of sticking with something they believed in, often in the face of great challenges, giving the gift of learning to children around the world through their free teaching and learning community. I've been so impressed with their model and approach and look forward to seeing what this dynamic team will do next.
As a parent who has stayed up late into the night thinking about ways to help my kids master multiplying fractions, express themselves clearly via writing, or conquer the calculus challenges they face, Curriki offers access to extensive resources in all of these areas. Thank you, Curriki!!
For so many reasons, teaching is extraordinarily complex and challenging. And opportunities for teachers to share with and learn from their colleagues are crucial to helping all children get an excellent education. When a teacher shares their best lessons, worksheets, activities, projects, curricula with the Curriki library, they are helping countless teachers help their students…year after year. I vote Curriki into the top 5 teaching and learning sites available today!
As a team member and donor, I am proud to support Curriki as we work to enhance students', educators' and their families' learning experiences with a free library of resources.
As a grandparent with 4 grandchildren ages, 13, 9 , 6 and 5, I love using Curriki! When we are together often after school, we talk about what they are learning, if they are having trouble in a subject or sometimes just about their homework. I look for resources on Curriki that we can do together. My grandkids like having something to work on that supplements what they are assigned and learning. Sometimes we even look together and they pick out a project. Thank you Curriki and keep adding high quality, fun resources for all ages!
As a teacher, I can attest that we all crave the tools and resources to help our students succeed. Very often, I that existing instructional websites are inadequate, too enormous or inaccurate. What I want is a one-stop shop for the resources I need, those that are teacher-tested and do not have hidden costs. Curriki addresses all of that with a system that categorizes teacher-created resources by grade level, subject and type of resource, such as video or lesson plan, and it is completely free of charge. It is so easy to find what I need – and fast!
Curriki has been a wonderful resource for my child's high school GT program. I passed it on as a resource and they have used Curriki OER in a number of ways, from encouraging kids involved in the maker movement and studying computer science, to teaching about the US Constitution and, most recently, 911. My teen has also used Curriki resources on her own to reinforce lessons she was having difficulty understanding in algebra.
I have been involved in many non-profits over the years, but Curriki holds a special place for me. I have been "in" the Education Technology industry for 28 years, and being a founder of Curriki is definitely something I consider a career highlight.
The global impact is extraordinary. Curriki, one of the first Open Education Resource communities *ever*, has demonstrated the ability to grow and sustain itself thanks to a number of generous benefactors, as well as demonstrated demand/value reflected by the continued (and growing) number of educators using and contributing to the community today. The staff and Board is dedicated to making a positive impact and greatly appreciates the support Curriki receives from its community members, benefactors, and friends.
When we founded Curriki years ago, we were the first to provide a global site for educators, parents, and students to share, rate, and review teaching and learning materials. Since then, Curriki has been explored by over 13.7 million users from nearly every country on the planet. It is absolutely huge. Through the large network of educators who voluntarily share their lessons, videos, assessments, and more with the entire global education community, this non-profit is chipping away at the huge handicap many under-served schools face--lack of adequate funding to purchase textbooks or digital teaching and learning materials. As co-founder and board member, I have been incredibly impressed with how the organization has thoughtfully and strategically iterated its programs and evolved over the years."
Curriki got the best knowledgebase on their website. You can learn, explore and even teach something that you know with the world beyond your limits. They are amazing and their support is round the clock, I mean if I have an issue or if I am not able to find something they will be right there to help whenever needed. They are not just an organization but a team of educators, intellectuals and researchers. I just love coming back to their website again and again.
Thanks guys for putting up great work!
Curriki provides great, and free, education resources. Thank you for doing this!
Curriki provides a platform for experienced teachers to create/share proven online resources in the math sector. These include videos, texts, and worksheets targeted for students as well as resources such as lesson plans to support the teacher, all of which are aligned with the Common Core State Standards for Mathematics. An invaluable and well constructed resource!
Curriki provides an infinite amount of curated resources on every topic imaginable: science, math, history, technology, geology, social studies, English Language Arts, Civics, tools for teachers and more. I've referred many teachers and students to this site because of the quality of resources.
Oracle strives to advance computer science education and make it accessible to students globally. Since 2013, Oracle Academy has collaborated with Curriki to deliver introductory Java courses to tens of thousands of teachers and students. We are excited for Curriki’s new website that aims to enrich the user experience and engage the next generation of learners. The new website is designed to make it easier for teachers and students to locate and access relevant content. Users now have the ability to read reviews, get additional information, and check for standards alignment before they download resources. We look forward to working with Curriki to help the teaching and learning community gain access to relevant computer science curriculum.
I sent my niece to Curriki when she was struggling with chemistry last year and what she found in the Curriki library was so helpful to her. Not only did she find a bunch of videos that helped her understand the concept she was struggling with that week, but throughout the year. She kept returning to the site to get clarification on things that confused her in class and to review for tests! I highly recommend Curriki to students in need of homework help.
In my opinion, teachers could make great use of the free resources too. In fact, I believe they are all contributed by teachers and reviewed by experts!
I'm a parent and find Curriki very useful in giving my kids homework help outside the classroom. For example, my son was having trouble with his chemistry class and Curriki offers many resources (including Khan videos) that further explain math and science concepts. I'm amazed at the creative & entertaining resources that can be found on Curriki - just saw a rap video teaching cell biology!
I've referred both my sons to Curriki when they were in high school. They search Curriki to find extra help with math and science. They use the Khan videos (chemistry, math, etc.), which are helpful in explaining concepts. I also like that you can find just about anything on Curriki - I've even found free graph paper templates and interactive games.
I love a lot of things about Curriki. A few years ago, as a teacher and pro-bono curriculum developer, I researched all the major players in Open Education Resources and decided to invest my personal time into adding content to Curriki. That the site is still functional and growing is significant, because user adoption is critical to its impact. I am reserving the last star on my rating, however, because the site (recently redesigned and improved in many ways) still has significant bugs and poor support.
This non-profit is an outstanding example of maximizing use of resources. Many non-profits in the Edu space do a little with a lot of money. These guys are a small team on a limited budget with >9 million visitors, over 50K learning resources, and is roughly 50% international. One of the best examples of "few to many" on the web. Many "for pay" edu sites, "use" Curriki's content without paying.
As a science teacher I am challenged to come up with new and different ways to present material to students. Curriki is a great source of interesting projects and videos that help kids understand science and keep them engaged.
As a fourth grade teacher, I use Curriki for lessons in EVERY subject. From science to reading.
Curriki never lets me down with up-to-date resources to use in my classroom, and saves me hours worth of lesson planning! With Curriki, there’s no reason to start from scratch!
Really love the math materials -- especially the Curriki geometry PBL course!!!
THANK YOU, CURRIKI!!!
I work in curriculum development, and Curriki is one of the sources I use to locate free content I can use. Curriki has a lot of content, and I can usually find what I need.
Curric has allowed me to place my teaching materials within the public domain at no cost to myself or other teachers. By sharing materials both student and teachers benefit.
Curriki is one of my "go-to" sites when I'm looking for something unique to engage my students. Really, they have the best content. I always find something that I can use and modify for my students. They add more and more material every day, so there is always something new whenever I visit. I always start on the homepage with their "New Curriculum" - the featured stuff changes every month. Oh, and the monthly newsletter - great stuff in there!!
Curriki has thousands of resources on a variety of subjects. I am currently watching the finance videos. I recommend the site all the time to my friends who are looking for content to help explain a particular subject to their children.
I have used Curriki to help my daughter with her homework. We have found some great math resources. My math skills are a little rusty, so I was delighted to find a place where we could get free assistance.
I use Curriki to find all kinds of educational resources.
Hello! Every CURRIKI! I feel glad to here! :D
I’m from New York City. I was born in Romania. In early 1980, I have been starting my biz on the internet.
I wish if I could have a business that working without me appear and never sleep; work for me in anytime anywhere
even although I‘m at work or home.
My name is Paula, and I’m the mother of 2 children of 5 and 8.This year we decided to start with education at home, it has been a challenging experience but rewarding at the same time. Here in Chile, there are no educational materials for use at home, so one must create material for each child. It is difficult, if you do not have professional guidance. I got myself educational plans and started looking on the internet to help my children and found Curriki. Curriki has been of great help with my children for school because there is a structure to lesson plans and class material is available to them.
As a Teacher Educator at DIET Sopore,CURRIKI has revolutionized my mind and heart.Innovative ideas have helped me in making my teaching learning more effective and I have become a LEARNER first and then a Trainer.
I found CURRIKI by linking through from California websites in my ongoing exploration about helping schools. I am planning on providing any member of the organization with a free schoodl. I noticed that there is so much information on the site that I will add it as a link to a charter school we are developing in Vallejo, CA.
empowerment of women's is very much needed for our future society..
by that we all us can get oppourtunities equally and without any partialities..
this should be needed for the welfare of our future...
so,we have to give equal rights for all in this society without any partialities..
Curriki offers a huge wealth of material for educators who want free content and ideas to support teaching in the classroom and online.
I wanted to help another educator explore the use of podcasts and connected him with a great array of resources contributed by a Curriki member.
The web site runs too slowly and seems somewhat disjointed.
I am a University Assistant Professor who had problems explaining some concepts in bioenergeticts to undergrads in Nigeria. I bump into the this site. it was very helpful. Since then I find the site useful not only to me but to my children also.
I am principal of a primary division at an international school in India. I have shared curriki with my faculty so they can turn to it to help make their lessons more interesting, more interactive, more currently topical. International education is making inroads into Asia and Africa, and curriki is a most wonderful tool to help teachers who don't have access to professional development, who have been trained with provincial resources, to open their world, and the world of their students. I love curriki.
As we approach the 42nd birthday of Carobell Inc. , I think it is a good time to reflect on how and why it has grown from a dream to one of the top Care Facilities in the United States.
It all started in July 1969 , with two very courageous woman, Virginia Franks and Elizabeth Bell Midgett.. They saw a need and courageously opened their hearts and homes to severely developmentally delayed and medically fragile infants. They provided love and compassion that made these children grow and blossom, many outliving doctor's expectations!
Even though we changed Presidents in 1991, Vanessa Ervin continues to make Carobell,. a family environment and a place the individuals can call home. She inherited the founders vision and enhanced it with out of the box thinking, good leadership, wise financial planning, and a top notched staff. Mrs. Ervin expects excellence from everyone.
She expects the best, she gets the best, and therefore we are the BEST!
One area that makes Carobell unique is the cross training of jobs. This is an excellent strategy in case a person is out for an extended period of time, the company can still function. Another great idea is promotions within the company, this not only encourages individual growth and self enrichment, but it also helps with longevity of our staff. However; I think the main reason for it’s success is because Mrs. Ervin believes in everyone. She believes everyone has potential; from the consumers, to her staff and even me!
When I was asked to serve on the board I questioned why would she want me? I definitely didn't have a financial or business background, but she saw a potential in me that I didn't see. I have an MED background and learned about special needs from the trenches, you could say, because I am a parent of an individual that resides at Carobel. Over the years, I have grown and learned so much since I have been a member of the board. I also see how hard it is to keep an organization like Carobell going on a everyday basis. I know it is hard work, but yet every time I visit I always see such happy faces. Like a family, everyone helps one another and even the smallest accomplishments are recognized. Carobell portrays a beautiful , happy, family environment. Onlookers know that the individuals are well cared for and most importantly loved. We only hire the folks that portray self-less attitudes, are intelligent, and very caring and loving
It saddens me to think that there are still people who are not aware of this wonderful organization. Part of my job is to spread the word. I do so through news articles, and letters to different organizations, internet, and of course the best way is word of mouth. Carobell works too hard to be the “Best Kept Secret in Jacksonville, Hubert, and Moorehead City!!” For more information you can go to www.carobell.org

Curriki is the first step in a transformation of education. It is allowing teachers to peer-review best practice curriculum via the web. In my view... it has the most "bang for the buck" in terms of creating the environment for improvements in the way teachers teach.
CURRIKI is an extremely helpful site, where instead of the wheel being recreated multiple times, you can actually reuse and improve what already exists!
Curriki is a revolution. It is changing how we teach and learn while directly addressing issues of access and equity. Specifically, Curriki enables educators build and share the best Open Educational Resources from around the world, and build communities of practice to help them use and improve those materials. Throw away the textbook and join a community of teachers and learners sharing knowledge and experience openly, and for free.
For a mother or parent, a teacher or student, or even a school administrator, the benefits are great and the costs are time and passion.
