I don't have a personal experience with a rescued critter, but I personally know one of the dedicated volunteers! Her dedication to the animals is inspiring. I loved following her recent baby squirrels rescue and sharing the pictures with my kiddos. It was incredibly educational for them and me! Every day we watched them grow stronger! Organizations like Critter Crusaders give me so much hope and reaffirm my faith in the kindness of others.

I started my journey with Critter Crusaders last summer with a litter of orphaned squirrels. It was the most rewarding experience of my life. I successfully rehabilitated and released my litter of five squirrels who occasionally visit my backyard. They were tiny little things, with barely any hair when they came to me after their nest was destroyed.

Shannon has truly built an organization of volunteers with so much compassion for the animals and the volunteers that support the animals that I truly feel blessed to be involved.

This year I started off with two tiny baby bunnies that were abandoned after a dog destroyed their nest. It was a difficult rehab for me because bunnies are incredibly difficult to successfully rehabilitate, but we made it through. Shannon and the rest of the rehab team provided so much moral support and advice to get me through the darkest moments. I am happy to say that one bunny made it and was released a healthy and happy critter.

This organization is full of so much love, but it takes a lot of time, effort and money to keep it going. We couldn't do it without donors and volunteers to help us.

I look forward to helping as many babies as I can this year and for as long as I'm able!!
