Mission: To provide quality medical and legal services without charge to people without access to care.
Programs: The organization holds six to seven medical clinics per week, a women's health clinic once per month and four legal clinics per month. These services are provided to over 5,000-6,000 individuals annually. Medical care is provided to individuals who cannot afford medical insurance. Doctors and nurses provide medical services, which include such medical care as school physicals, pregnancy care, std,tb, & hiv testing, pediatric care, family care,wtc screening, and low cost lab, x-rays and mammograms. In collaboration with the ventura county public health deparment, the organization provides free immunizations to all school aged children. In partnership with kaiser permanente, the county of ventura's mobile mammography unit, medical diagnostic imaging, and quest diagnostics conducts women's health clinics monthly on saturdays throughout the year, screening women for cervical and breast cancer, diabetes, high cholesterol, thyroid disease, hypertension and anemia. Attorneys and paralegals provide family law counseling including divorce, custody and alimony issues, and offer counseling in landlord-tenant, real estate, contract and criminal law matters. In addition, a psychologist along with three interns provides weekly therepy sessions and a nutriion class is held weekly.
