Mission: In 1973, a group of recovering alcoholics from Fresno saw the need to establish a recovery home for needy alcoholics. These dedicated men and women purchased a motel and restaurant on 5.2 acres of land and establish the Comprehensive Alcohol Program, Inc. (CAP)as a private, nonprofit corporation. In 1977, CAP sought and received City and County funds which stabilized the financial base of the agency. Further expansion came in 1980, which CAP negotiated a contract with Fresno County to provide detoxification services and the United Way funded a position to specifically serve women.
Programs: To provide residential and outreach services to alchohol and chemical abuse residents of the fresno area.
