I like to start off with something positive before I say what is REALLY on my mind. The new facility is beautiful!
NOW...my review! As a grieving lost pet owner, I have been INCREDIBLY disappointed in the staff at CAA from the get-go! Let's face it! If myself or anyone that has lost a pet is told to go to CAA for help...we want to feel like the staff cares (even a little) about our reason for being there. Not feeling it!!! Each of my 4 visits have left me so frustrated. There's lots of visiting and chatting among staff people behind the counter when I arrive, and very little attention to the person arriving to try to find their lost pet! And no consistency process or procedure with where you're directed to look for your pet. I sign in! For what, I'm not sure. Being told to first look in the room of cats up for adoption is ridiculous if I was just there 2 days ago. I left a flyer with pics of my kitty that I was told would be posted in the intake room (presumably). When I asked a staff person 2 days ago if the staff tried to match up the cats brought in to intake with the pics posted, her response was "maybe, if they had time or thought about it." REALLY? Even if that's true...do I want to know that? I would expect nothing less than for it to be one of the first things you do if you're trying to help people find their pet? So sad!
