Mission: A private not-for-profit service agency that initiates, provides, and promotes services for people with developmental disabilities and their families within their communities.
Programs: Family services includes family support and respite services. Family support services help families keep their child or adult family member in the home; services include problem solving, linkages to other services and agencies and home modifications and adaptations. Respite services provide trained support workers who become friends and companions while they help people to develop skills and participate in community activities. Fy 2014 units of service = 76,086 hours.
24-hour supported living - help adults to develop and implementplans to live more independently with continuous supervision. These services are provided in client homes and homes owned by theorganization. Fy 2014 units of service = 264,216 hours.
intermittent supported living services - help adults to developand implement plans to live more independently with intermittentsupervision. These services are provided in client homes. Fy 2014 units of service = 26,947 hours.
When i first open my door to the public to help the communtiy, you must be doing this from your heart. I never really advertise, you must come out and meet people and talk with them, let them know what kind of service you will be providing in the community. Make up in your mind this is caring and sharing and free services, Describe in flyer what type of free service they can come to me for, support. Let them know we are here to communicate with them we are volunteers, We also network with other originzations that do same work as well. Some of our work, parenting skills,Tuancy Case-Manager,from Youth Services, Community activities with give aways every year, we have several work shops, Coats and Hats Drive, Faith-Base & Police Dept.
