When we moved to the shore two years ago we had a very sick feral colony living on our property. Due to the farms in the area we are a common drop off spot for unwanted cats. 3 of the cats had gone blind due to a poor diet and lack of vaccinations. 2 of the females were pregnant. For 3 months my family worked endlessly trying to gain trust from this colony. We worked daily and created an amazing bond with each one. We wanted to help them but couldn't afford to take every one of them to the vet. The shelters are over crowded and We didn't think caging such free spirits would be healthy To their sweet souls. After discussing our dilema with our family vet, he referred us to Susan Coleman with Community Cats Coalition. Susan has been a blessing to our lives and the lives of all the cats she has dedicated her life to helping. We now have a very healthy and happy colony living on our property due to Susan and her selfless fight for the lives of cats and her belief in the TNR program. The bond these cats hold for each other is special. Each and every one have Touched the hearts of our family. Thanks to you Susan and your mission homeless cats can live a healthy, happy and safe lives.
We had a momma cat and kittens. Community cat coalition came out and trapped momma and babies. They were spayed now up for adoption at her facility.
Thank you for helping them.
Bali Hi RV Park
Community Cats Coalition has been a blessing to me twice this Summer. They came and picked up a Momma cat and her 3 kittens who made a home under my shed. I already had 2 cats and there was no way I could keep another 4. They found a foster and took care of them. Then, I had a stray outside kitty who has visited me for almost 4 years. He was injured from what I gathered a Hawk or Owl attack. We trapped him and Community Cats took him for care plus neutered/vaccinations. I'm so impressed with this organization and dedication to helping our community. Thanks again
We have over the past several years spent many hours trying to trap feral cats that have been abandoned and dropped off and others have reproduced before we could successfully trap them. With the help of Community Cats Coalition (CCC)we have just finished trapping, spaying/neutering and releasing what we hope is the last of our adult cats. It is wonderful to look at our cats and know the clipped ear means they will have a happier and healthier life thanks to CCC. We cannot put into words what the help we received from CCC means to us.
I met Susan about 4 years ago, there was a rabies scare in the town that I live. An older lady and I take care of a couple of strays/feral behind my house. I believed she reached out to Susan to help get the kitties fixed. After Susan trapped and fixed them, she offered to fix a couple females I had inside.
Just last year I interrupted a mama having babies, she ended up abandoning them. I contacted Susan right away and she told me what to do, and who to contact to have the bottle babies get the proper care. Susan has taken several kittens that was old enough to be adopted out or they were sick. Susan is such a wonderful person that truly cares about the animals. She goes above and beyond to make sure the sick are treated, and the adoptable ones fine a great home. I am truly blessed to have met such a wonderful person as Susan.
I'm a foster mom with them. Susan is so helpful and caring with the group. I was supplied with everything these fosters needed. They due a great job with trapping and neutering of the cats in the community!
I contacted Susan about a few feral cats I had. She immediately came with her traps and we were successful in trapping 2 female feral cats and having them fixed. Thank you for being so caring and caring for this animals as if they are your own!
I have used Community Cats Coalition for several years now and I have definitely noticed a decline in the cat population. I know of several colonies that are contained because they have all been fixed. When I notice a new cat come around, I immediately trap it and bring it to CCC. All cats get spayed or neutered and receive a rabies shot. Sometimes they are sick or injured and they will take them to get medical attention. They also take kittens and socialize them so that they can be adopted at PetSmart. The trap, spay/neuter and return program really works and I can't say enough good things about Community Cats Coalition. They need so much help with donations, volunteers, supplies and spreading the word.
Here are 2 photos that I would like to share. One photo is of a male cat that I trapped and brought to CCC. He would get into fights with the other cats , but once he was neutered he stopped fighting. the other photo is of 3 kittens that I trapped and brought to CCC to get fixed and later adopted. I have dozens more photos of cats and their stories.
