Mission: The mission of the children's collabrium is to turn research on early development into policy and practice
Programs: The organization works to:* promulgate information about best practices and workforce development in early care and education (ece). * identify and synthesize existing research findings regarding quality and effectiveness of ece programs and disseminate it to the field. * fill gaps in knowledge about the effective operation of high quality early care and education programs. * build the capacity of existing and emerging leaders to lead the ece field and serve as change agents. * create effective management practices in ece organizations. * facilitate opportunities for ece and k-12 stakeholders to converse which lead to the alignment and articulation of both systems with each other. * seek alignment of the priorities for children that are shared by early care and education personnel and kindergarten teachers and administrators in order to realize common purpose and goals. * build a solid infrastructure (including human, financial, physical and information dissemination resources) that supports the accomplishment of the children's collabrium's mission and goals.
