Mission: Child abuse and beyond, inc. Is an organization designed to educate medical personnel and the community concerning forensic nursing. It performs sexual assault examinations. It also educates law enforcement, district attorney's offices, prosecutors, judges, and school nurses concerning the role of sexual assault nurse examiners (sane). Another function of the organization is to research and educate in normal vs. Abnormal genital anatomy, child abuse and prevention, teen pregnancy and reporting laws.
Programs: Sexual assault examinations performed on victims by sane nurse. 129 exams performed. Forensics and courtroom preparation provided for the victims. Nine counties were served in texas including chambers, hardin, jasper, jefferson, liberty, newton, orange, and tyler. Fair market value of facilities donated = $15,718.
