Mission: Chicago Pet Rescue is an all volunteer run organization, supported entirely by donations and fundraisers. Our volunteers foster, transport, and in many other ways assist in this rescue effort. Our mission is to improve the quality of life for the homeless, needy animals of the community by providing the following services: • A safe, caring foster home until they can be adopted by loving, responsible families. • Spay/Neuter program: with the cooperation of many local veterinarians, all of the shelter’s adult dogs and cats are spayed or neutered prior to their adoption. For those pets that are too young, a ‘spay/neuter’ card is given to the adopting family to have the procedure done at 6 months of age. • Medical care, including initial vaccinations, deworming and blood testing. • Nominal adoption fees. • Lost and found program to help reunite dogs and cats with their owners by maintenance of a pet listing. • Educational programs to make children, teens and adults aware of responsible pet care. This program also encourages high school volunteers involved in direct animal care. Our goal is to rescue as many animals as our organization is safely able to manage.

HI, I highly recommend Chicago Pet Rescue. The volunteers are dedicated in caring for all the animals and finding them loving homes. I should know. I have adopted four times from them and they are all the loves of my life. The volunteers go every day to socialize the kittens and cats until they are adopted. If it is time a add a 4-legged friend to your family, check out Chicago Pet Rescue

I have been working with Chicago Pet Rescue for three years and couldn't be happier. The volunteers are dedicated to improving the lives of homeless animals. It's not just dogs and cats, it's all animals. I have seen all kinds of birds, guinea pigs, turtles, hamster and even a snake find homes. The rescue may be small but it's powered by big hearts and a courageous spirit

Chicago Pet Rescue is a wonderful, new rescue dedicated to saving the lives of those kittens and dogs that can't help themselves. It believes each animal deserves a chance to have a loving home, caring family and an opportunity to live a long, healthy life. The volunteers are dedicated beyond belief and considering we are only one year old, our volunteers have learned to not take no for an answer when it comes to the wellbeing of our pets. We are fosterhome based and our foster parents are amazing, always opening their homes and hearts to a kitten or puppy in need . Our event volunteers are there whenever we need them - even if it is every weekend. I am proud to be part of this organization.

This past winter I lost both of my older golden retrievers and was a bit shell-shocked by this. I wasn't ready to adopt but wanted something to fill my time - my only child is heading off to college next month and I knew I would have some free time. I started volunteering with Chicago Pet Rescue and love it. This is how I met my Baxter. I went to pick him up to take him to an adoption event and by the time I got to the event - I knew I wanted to adopt him. Quite honestly I am not sure who rescued who! I have met a lot of wonderful people thru CPR and their compassion and dedication to the animals is truly amazing. I am honored to volunteer with them.

I was blessed enough to adopt my beautiful Charlie from CPR. He is a wonderful companion for myself, my elderly parents, and has even worked as a service dog with my special needs college students. The volunteers and staff treat each adoption as a celebration of love ! Thank you, CPR!

CPR found me a wonderful best friend! His name is Charlie and he has brought me pleasure every day for the past 3 years. I was so impressed by this group that I organized and executed a school wide pet supply drive at the school where I teach. All proceeds went to CPR! God bless them and the work they do!

I volunteered with CPR at several events and met so many nice people and animals. They work hard to make sure their animals are safe and well mannered.

I used to work at petsmart where i got to meet several of the pets up for adoptions as well as many of the volunteers and Elaina, who runs the charity, all of whom are really amazing people. All of their animals are very well treated in loving foster homes where their foster parents work to socialize them and train them as much as possible. Its clear that everyone who is involved genuinely cares about the well being of the animals up for adoption. Sometimes when spaces open up in the store, cpr brings cats in so people can see them and they can get adopted. Those cats consistently made my day, i loved letting them out of their cages for as long as possible and playing with them, it was very clear by interacting with them that they were treated very well by their forster parents.

my boyfriend and i ended up fostering some baby turtles (red eared sliders) that a man abandoned at our store, we treated them for a respiratory infection and tried a variety of foods to make sure that they were eating enough. we fell in love with them ended up adopting them both ourselves lol.

Chicago Pet Rescue is an amazing group, for whom I am honored to volunteer! All rescued pets are placed in foster homes, and they do a great job of finding caring people to help out with these amazing animals! Dogs, cats, birds, etc.; CPR does their best to save as many lives as they can, with no shelter facility! They also do a fantastic job of finding the perfect forever home for animals of every breed and personality!

Chicago Pet Rescue is dedicated to fostering and rescuing pets of all sorts. They are devoted to their animals, ensuring that they are only adopted by a loving, caring family and that the animal isn't just the right fit for the family, but that the family is the right fit for the animal. If all pet rescue organizations were as dedicated as Chicago Pet Rescue, the shelters would not be as overwhelmed as they are.

CPR started last year and we have already helped rescue several animals. Whether its direct adoption or just making the right connections between needy animals and the new family. CPR saves lives thru adoption of homeless animals. Our dedicated volunteers foster, help with adoption events and fundraising.

Nothing can be accomplished without the selfless help of volunteers.

CPR believes Recycling isn't a luxury!

Chicago Pet Rescue also hopes to accomplish their goals while being as green as possible. We believe if you help animals, people and our environment everyone will WIN.
