Mission: Charlotte pride creates programs and activities to enrich, empower, strengthen and make visible the unique lives and experiences of lgbtq people in charlotte and the carolinas
Programs: Charlotte pride festival- charlotte pride produced a two-day educational, artistic/cultural and entertainment street festival attracting over 130,000 lgbtq and ally people from the charlotte region and beyond the festival exposes local community service organizations, non-profits, small business owners and corporate partners to potential volunteers, donaors, supporters or clients. Attendees are offered the opportunity to access needed community services or learn more about local and national non-profits and businesses serving the lgbtq and allied community.
charlotte pride parade- charlotte pride produced a pride parade with 132 marching contingents comprised of local, regional and national community service organizations, non-profits, small businesses and corporate partners exposing attendees of the parade to increased awareness and visibility of community service opportunities and lgbtq equality. The parade is one of the largest of its kind in the southeast us, atracting attendees from across the charlotte region and beyond while bringing increased awareness and visibility to the local lgbtq and allied community
the gay charlotte film festival- aims to entertain enlighten and build valuable bridges of understanding, support and acceptance within and between lgbtq and ally communities in the charlotte region. Each year, the film festival brings together community members to celebrate the artistic cultural and historical contributions of lgbtq and ally individuals all through the power of film
