I live in Santa Clara. These guys have been great. Helped me get my apartment updated and more energy efficient, with a new little stove and a new refrigerator as well as more efficient light bulbs and even a new emergency alert fire alarm. Everyone I have worked with both in person and on the phone from Central Coast has been helpful and wonderful to work with.

The HEAP program has been a great help since three of us live in the home (two adults and a minor). We have no income at home, and right now, the three of us are sick with Covid-19. If the HEAP program were not available, I would have to sacrifice not paying rent because everything in my house is electric, and without electricity, nothing works. HEAP has impacted our health and safety now that we are sick. At the moment, we don't worry about the bill because the HEAP program helped us and we can focus on our well-being and getting better.

I lost all my income when my husband went to the hospital; I was left with a huge PG&E bill. I would’ve had my heat turned off if it weren't for you guys. I had no income. If the HEAP program were not available, I would have to sacrifice going without heat which I have done before, because I couldn’t pay my bill. HEAP has helped me because I have sleep apnea, and I need a CPAP machine running at night. Also, my husband needs his dialysis medical device. We also need heating and cooling. Programs like HEAP help the communities; whenever I meet people that are having a hard time, I recommend them to apply for HEAP or send them to an outreach location to get help.

The HEAP program has had a positive impact on me and my family because it has helped me pay my electric and gas bill. I am the only person in the household who receives income. I was told about the program at a food bank. If the program were not available, I would have to sacrifice paying my rent because paying the utility bills with one income is tough. The program has helped with my health and safety by ensuring I have electricity in my home. Thank you!

The HEAP Program has helped me keep my home by assisting with my PG&E bill; I am very grateful to the program. If the HEAP Program weren’t available, I would have to sacrifice paying for food and my phone bill. Right now, everything is so expensive that I also would have to disconnect my electricity and gas. At home, it’s just my daughter and me. Currently, there is no income at home; I support myself and my household from my savings accounts. The HEAP program has improved my health and safety because I can have electricity and gas in my house. Also, I am not stressed, have one bill less to worry about, and do not have a headache thinking about how I would pay this bill. Thank you very much; sometimes, you don’t know of all the help there is; I am not alone.

The HEAP Program has impacted my ability to sustain my home by assisting me with my PG&E bill and providing me the ability to pay other bills. If the HEAP program wasn’t available I’d have to sacrifice gas for my car, buying groceries for my family, and other household essentials. The HEAP program has impacted my health and safety by reducing my stress and my mental health knowing I am being helped with my bill. I am currently pregnant and sometimes I have to leave work early to go to my appointments and this program is a great help. Thank you!

I stopped receiving the PG&E bill in the mail and it accumulated. It was challenging for me to pay for it. My sons help me pay my bills but they have a family of their own and the bill was too high for me to ask them for help. I didn't know how I would manage to pay the bill. If this program wasn’t available, I would have to work and at my age, it would be tough. I've never worked in agriculture, but it would be the only job I could get because I don’t speak English. I am the only person in my household and thanks to the program, I received the assistance I needed with my bill. Thank you!

The HEAP program has helped me pay my PG&E bill and improve our health and safety. My wife and I don’t have income or receive benefits. I was working until 2020 when I was laid off from my job for two years since the Covid-19 pandemic began and the company I worked for never called again to have me return to work; they left me out. The program helped me for good. I feel very flattered and happy that they helped me; it’s a weight off my shoulders that they just took away from me. I have been attending food bank distributions to bring food to our home. My family can no longer help us because they all have families that they need to provide for. They all pitch to help my wife and me, but it’s not the same as receiving my income and paying for food, expenses, and bills. Thank you!

The HEAP program has had a significant impact on my health and safety. I haven’t been able to sleep thinking about my PG&E bill. If the program weren’t available, I’d have to sacrifice buying food because it is one or the other. After all, you have to prioritize what comes first. But with four kids, you can’t do much. The program has helped my mental health and has brought relief to my stress. I have no income and have been paying off my utilities with credit cards. I appreciate all the hard work in getting my application processed. I want Thank Central Coast Energy Services for all the help and services in helping me pay my bill and also for the weatherization services.

The HEAP program has positively helped me. I have a lot going on because my Dad is sick and is in the hospital, and I can’t work that much because I care for him. I was told about this program by my aunt. I haven’t been able to pay my bill for over two months. If the HEAP program weren’t available to help me, I would have to sacrifice making significant payments for my electric and gas bill on a credit card. Everything keeps piling up, and my father’s disability is taking a lot of time to process. I am sustaining my household with only one income for three people. The HEAP program has helped my health and safety by giving me a “breather” and peace of mind. Now I have to worry about the other bills. CCES staff have always been pleasant and polite in providing services.

Thank you for helping me especially right now that I am sick and cannot work. You always help me. You have never denied my application for assistance. I had surgery last year and haven’t been able to work for over a year. My husband is elderly and suffers from dementia. I am his caretaker and my income was the only one. Because you helped me, now I can pay my rent and buy food. If HEAP was not available I would have to sacrifice paying my rent and buying food. Thank you!
